Quoted me in under a minute… didnt ask me my name, personal info etc which I hate when people do that. They asked me all they needed to know, gave me a fast quote and i enjoyed speaking to them. Then all they did was ask my email so they could SEND me a link to fill out full details… thank you! This is how it should be done. I will be using them to ship my car. Other places ask you all your info before even telling you cost ugg.. then they sell your info and you get blown up by text. This company is AWESOME for honest fast quotes. I was so sick of talking to other people about quotes so when I called Thrifty Auto Shipping… breath of fresh air!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY EVEN For FREE!!! If you want to lose BIG! choose Thrifty Auto Shipping. Worst customer service you will ever receive. This firm is NOT trustworthy. DO NOT entrust your car for shipping anywhere with Thrifty Auto Shipping. They should be shut down for fraud and non-existing customer service. Please, please do your homework before hand. I wish I did. This “transportation company” is a BIG scam! I have now opened up Better Business Bureau complaint against this company and they will have to go Court. I will litigate against them.

I had my Lexus transported from Fort Worth, Texas to Virginia and used Thrifty Auto Shipping. The transporter (driver) damaged my car causing in excess of $2500+ in property damage. First, they were supposed to deliver my car within two to three days, they delivered my car in six days with $2500 in damage. The driver wanted to deliver the car at 11pm on the second evening and I would not accept that since I could not check the car properly in the dark. He said – if you do not pick it up now – then it will be whenever I am back in the area. He was very rude and hung up the phone on me. When I asked the driver what happened to my car, he said he doesn’t not speak English and I should contact the broker. Thrifty Auto Shipping refuses to assume any liability and informed me that I should contact the driver and NOD transportation to discuss the liability issue. Dwight Harrill from Thrift Auto Shipping was the point of contact that helped me, and now he is not taking any responsibility or ownership for what happened to my vehicle (Lexus 2015). When I call NOD Transportation, they ignored my calls and or hung up on me when by chance I happen to get through to them. Thrift Auto Shipping (Dwight Harrill) basically lied to me from the very beginning of this whole ordeal. They are Brokers/Agents. (They are the middle man, but very smooth sales people, that will tell you anything you want to hear to make a commission.) They don’t have any company trucks. They try to get your credit card and then they throw you to an unprofessional, rude driver who claim not to speak English, or even though he does. A friend called him from a different number, and he was pretty fluent talking to her about my concerns. Basically, he was caught “in fraganti” with his statement about not being able to speak English. He lied!!!

Thrifty Auto Shipping should not be in business because they lack decency, honesty, basic business sense, and the need for taking ownership for their own mistakes with some else’s property. No one should EVER do business with such “entity”. EVER!!!!!!!

I opened a Yelp account to review this company and spare someone else the agony. To make a long story short, I don’t know where my car is as I write this and neither does Thrifty Auto. I obtained a quote to have my car shipped from a major east coast city to a major west coast city. I was told that the company provides door to door service and would be picked up from my home. I gave an earliest possible pick up date and was not contacted until 5 days later and told that a truck was ready for me to bring my car now. The rep informed me that they made a mistake by telling me that my car could be picked up from my house. I already left the east coast by then and I could not get anyone to get my car to their driver in such short notice. I was told the driver would not wait around and my car would not get transported that day. 2 days later another driver called me to say he would be picking up my car the next day but that he could not guarantee a time. The next day came and went with no word from the driver. The day after that, I called the driver (very friendly and polite man by the way) and he informed me that he was in a neighboring state getting his truck laptop repaired and he would leave soon. He did not arrive until close to 9 pm, more than a day after the original pick up day. My family brought the car to a lot to meet him and he said I would have the car in 5 days. It’s now been 9 days and Thrifty can’t even tell me what state my car is in. After calling for 3 days, thrifty finally spoke to the truck driver and he informed them that his truck broke down. You would think that thrifty would follow up with questions like: what U.S. state are you in? Please learn from what I am going through and don’t use this company. I just hope I get my car soon and in the same condition it was in on pick up day.

PS- they bill your credit card at pick up (which would be fine if they kept tabs on their trucks and could answer their clients’ questions about the truck’s whereabouts)

PSS- thanks to thrifty auto shipping, I’ve been getting a lot of exercise in the form of walking!!
