Do not contact this company. I called to put the bid out on my car for shipping. First, I was told that the price I was given would not go up. Then, as it got closer to my shipping date I was told that we would have to raise the price and it would be much more expensive. I decided to go with another carrier who was more upfront about the way things work. I received a call from the Bruce, the owner, yelling at me asking why I would use someone else, telling me he didn’t want my job because I had too many questions for him and telling me that the other transport company were just better liars than him. He literally said that he was a liar and these guys were better at it. Only use these guys if you intend on following through. Otherwise be prepared for an unnecessary scolding. I wouldn’t ship a bicycle with this company. The owners a real piece of…. I’d go with “anyone but these guys” auto transport. Also, make sure the owner is honest and up front!

Very rude and seemed focused primarily on getting his fee. We paid over $800 to get our car shipped, scheduled with Bruce from Above The Rest, and after scheduling we started getting a lot of snark and attitude from this guy.

1) He seemed annoyed that we didn’t immediately answer every single phone call in the middle of the workday, even though we returned every single missed call we got from him. We all have crap to take care of, chill out. He said he wasn’t getting personal with his clearly sarcastic remarks, but what was it then?

2) We asked for insurance information that would cover our vehicle during the course of transport, and what we got was a blurry, teeny tiny bitmap that I told him was illegible. He responded by telling me that was all he had what did I expect from him, followed by eventually providing the legible pdf file when I pressed the issue.

3) The guy he scheduled to deliver our car showed up at 11pm at night BEFORE the day originally scheduled for arrival. He pounded on our door so violently that we were ready to call the cops. It was pitch black at nearly midnight and the driver demanded cash on the spot, and wanted to unload the car in the black of night. We have very little streetlights in our area, it is woodsy and nearly impossible to see at that time, and he wanted to unload our vehicle in that darkness and to drive away with cash? Lol.

4) When we called Bruce back and demanded answers, he responded with “I don’t control these drivers, what do you want me to do?”

5) Then they had this whole miscommunication issue about how the payment was to be accepted – the driver barely spoke English, shrugged at me and demanded cash while holding my keys hostage. We were told, IN WRITING, that Zelle was an acceptable payment method. We have evidence of written confirmation available for any Yelp reviewer curious about this guy’s hilarious response after he read my review.

Wow. Hell no would I recommend this place.

Edit: It would seem not only is this a bad “businessman,” but also a pathological liar. We have phone records of multiple conversations over the phone which he’s now claiming we never had (lol), we SIGNED UP over the phone which he’s claiming never happened (lol), along with plenty of evidence of me “yelling” (telling him in a perfectly normal manner) that the driver HE CHOSE has arrived at our door at 11pm banging on our door, haranguing our FROM location contact over the phone instead of our DESTINATION phone number (lol), confirming Zelle information that it seems he’s now claiming he never told us was available (why the hell would we ask for Zelle if we didn’t have Zelle??). Heaven forbid we wake him at “midnight his time” when WE are being harassed at 11pm TOTALLY outside our scheduled arrival time in pitch black night by someone who barely speaks English!

Since he seems to be such a meticulous “businessman”, let me add the other details that I didn’t have time to add before in my original review about failure to initially provide LEGIBLE INSURANCE DOCUMENTS too. Maybe I should send him the screenshots in case he deleted them with bleach bit.

Yeah, what a “businessman” LOL. Have fun with this one, people. He wants us to be “nice” to rude, lying “businessmen”.
