I paid my deposit and let them know a month ahead of time that we would need to ship our vehicle coast to coast due to military transfer. I gave them a one week window….I was assured all would be fine…. T

Literally the day before it HAD to be picked up by, they told me to be patient and they were STILL trying to find a driver… By the end of day, NOTHING! Will never use them again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

The Pickup:

Driver (Auto Movers LLC) said to contact him around 10am. Tried to call all morning, no answer and voicemail full. Several hours later he answers and says they will meet for pick up between 4pm-5pm. 5:15pm comes and no call or show from transporter. I call the transporter and he says it will now be 8pm. They showed up a little bit after 8pm. So from 10am-8pm (10 hours) I waited around in town to meet the transporter, as their truck can not make it up to our remote area. The car has some passenger side damage and is fine everywhere else. They attempted to make us sign a form waiving all responsibility for any damage to the car due to it being wrecked on one side. On top of that the language these men were using and the way they treated me as a customer made me feel terribly uncomfortable.

The Drop Off:

Two days prior to drop off on a Friday I receive a call from the transporter stating that they will be there sometime Friday afternoon. I reply “Do you mean next week or today,”he replies”no, friday, in two days.” I reply “Sir, today is Friday and Sunday is in two days, do you need a moment to check your calendar?” After that he seemed upset that I called him out for not knowing what day it was. If shipping and logistics is your specialty you should surely know what day it is. He replied that they had been on the road and were tired. Irrelevant, do your job guys. After that then he proceeds to tell me there will be an extra $200 fee for some art work I placed in the car and the roof rack and shell. Upon first attempt to question/dispute this $200 fee with him I was interrupted to be told “how it works in the industry”, rude, but I gave him his moment to basically tell me that he is in control and I am not then he hung up on me. After that I attempt to have Andrews Auto Transport help me fix this whole mess and I can’t get anyone on the phone who seems to have any control over the situation. So I call the transporter back again to attempt to calmly discuss and dispute this extra $200 that was tacked on two days prior to drop off. I try to explain to him that the paper work I have states that I owe them $800 upon delivery and I will not be extorted for an extra $200 last minute, which I actually didn’t even get to finish that sentence. His reply as he cuts me off and yells over me was the most unprofessional ever… and i quote him; “Well good luck getting your car back, f#$khead.” Then he hangs up. I am suppose to go pick my car up sometime in the next few hours (again they can’t seem to give me a proper time window) however I do not even feel safe or comfortable going to meet these rude and aggressive men that Andrews Auto Transport hired to ship my vehicle.

I needed to ship my car from PA to AZ after accepting a new position in AZ.

After a bombardment of emails and calls from many persistent and annoying companies, I received a simple email from Lisa R stating from Andrew Auto Transport with a quote to move the car.

After responding to her email the entire process was much more transparent and less pushy than any other competitor I talked to (some even badgered me as late as 9:30 PM!).

The information that AAT provided was very transparent and straightforward. It matched up with my research of the topic. Believe it or not other agencies will call you once they see that you’ve done business with another agency and try to bully you into cancelling, please do not.

I accepted Lisa’s offer and paid the administrative fee and within a few days she shot email an offer back from a carrier which met their very high standards that was within a reasonable range of her original estimate.

After a few questions to make sure the company would move my car and some items (less than 100 lbs of non-valuables) I agreed to move it.

The company they found to move my vehicle was awesome! They communicated primarily through text (which was great, because there’s no he-said-she-said nonsense to worry about). The dispatch and driver were extremely professional and seemed to care about my car just as much as I did.

The company coordinated with me a mutually agreeable spot and time to pick up my car. When my car arrived in Phoenix the car was pretty much exactly as they loaded it (minus a little bit of dirt that it had picked up throughout it’s nationwide travel).

If I ever need to move a car again, I’m going straight to Andrew Auto Transport and hopefully Lisa R. It’ll save me a million voicemails/emails/texts that the other companies try to bully you into. I recommend you do the same!
