I tried to use Montway to ship my car and after going through the entire exercise of booking with them they called me the next day only to tell me they could not use my credit card because I was suspicous and insisted on an ACH payment. This is not the #1 auto transport company to work with.

Our vehicle was damaged in transport through a transport company chosen by Montway, and is being held hostage in various storage yards in LA area with GPS disabled. Montway worked hand in hand with Pacific Auto Transport Inc in vetting, selecting, vouching and then insisting the carrier, not the consumer, had the right to write damages on the bill of lading at delivery, which itself was never given to us to mark damages. Go online and try to find a review of Pacific Transport Inc of Glendale California. None exists we found. There are a lot with similar names in other locations, but nothing with an exact match. So much for Montway’s vetting. Montway’s site, upon which we relied, is full of deceptive falsehoods such as its careful vetting of shipping carriers, its own insurance carrier information and having the consumer being presented with a bill of lading to mark damages for delivery. We found the principal(s) of the carrier had six a figure fraud lien in addition to tax liens and bankruptcies. In our online searching, we found the fraud lien comes from a situation where the principal set up a fake dental laboratory and he and associates dressed as dental lab technicians to defraud companies into providing financing for a non- existent dental laboratory. They went to the extreme length of wearing white lab coats, medical type shield eyeglasses and pretended to work on tooth molds and conduct dental procedures. The lien in this case has same name and address as carrier principal. Good luck in collecting for damages. The carrier said when confronted with this information “whether true or not.” Montway also interfered with a drop off agreement with the carrier by improperly inserting themselves to obtain releases for Montway and statements to muzzle online reviews by us of Montway. Montway continued its deceptive practices with respect to the consumers online review rights by lifting out of context a section from the very federal law allowing consumer to make online reviews. We say STAY AWAY FROM MONTWAY

* This wasn’t my 1st rodeo and thought others were as good as it gets until…Mercury Auto Transport. Trevor Thomas, Senior Logistics Agent at Mercury Auto Transport, exceeded my expectations and provided me the most outstanding experience with the transporting of my beloved Z4 BMW, I never anticipated.

* After submitting direct quote requests and landing on a brokers listing board, which I’d tried to avoid, at all costs but got my info sold anyway. (very irritating).

* Mercury (Trevor) is the only one that didn’t inundate me with pesky phone calls, nor followup emails, quote revisions or text messages. In fact, the only follow up email was a very detailed list of safety issues of what to be aware of with brokers and direct to consumer carriers.

* After my nearly 2-week long thorough review research on every submission and un-invited company, I decided to come back to Mercury’s quote (which was also within my intended budget), not highest nor lowest.

* Trevor had the wherewithal not to add to the litany of calls & emails I was receiving. He left me to do my due diligence. His professional demeanor and genuine nature, impeccable service, and timeliness, gave me the confidence and trustworthiness I needed the most and ability to meet my work schedule without additional up-charges. All a key factor in my decision-making.

* Regarding price, it was held at the price quoted, even after informing me the price may change as the online quote is a bot, standard practice in the industry, hence typical price increases if booked online which also doesn’t include his broker fee. I was very concerned about the driver asking for more monies upon delivery, he assured me that was not their policy and would never be acceptable. Trevor was easy to communicate with, forthright and patient. He assured me once the contract was agreed upon the rate wouldn’t change. Trevor even had an out-of-the-box know-how skillset for getting around another broker’s refusal to remove my car from the listing board whom I’d Never booked. Genius Trevor and Thank you!

* The 1st 2 carriers cancelled for different understandable reasons. Trevor kept me informed and wouldn’t settle for anything less than top carriers that he trusted. The 3rd and final carrier that accepted the price quoted was Prestige. At pickup, I spoke with Victor and immediately was greeted with a super friendly, outgoing and engaging driver, whom was met by my brother in the Mid-West, who was immediately comfortable with his professional demeanor and ego-free personality.

* Prestige held my car in their lot in Florida over the weekend to accommodate my work schedule without additional charges (which Trevor had informed me of was an option). Whew! Their flexibility and understanding was a major bonus. At drop-off to a mechanics shop for a check-up having been stored over the winter, the location didn’t allow for a turn-around of a 9-car hauler but Prestige’s driver, Christian, was confident he could make it happen and not to worry. Low and behold, he did just that! He too, was extremely good natured and outgoing personality. This all made for a very stress-free process thanks to Trevor not settling for mediocrity and constantly put me at ease during the entire process.

*Milleoni at Prestige was pleasant and easy going and patient as well with my many phone calls. Then there was June, in Mercury’s Fulfillment Dept., who like Trevor went above & beyond. Not only did she follow up and follow thru, she sent me emails on her weekend days off, making sure everything was going according to plan and Prestige had been in touch, and offered support if needed.

* Mercury (Trevor) was the most professional and honest transportation broker I’ve had the pleasure of working with. It was the wisest choice I made. Others should take notes. Should I ever transport a car again, they’ll be on speed-dial.
