Very rude. I thought of giving them a try because of their cost, but no. Their horrible customer service painted a great picture of their services.

We contracted with Bill’s Auto Transport to pick up our car in Portland Me and deliver it to Estero FL in October. We have used them two previous times with issues about pickup times and delivery and lack of communication. Of course, Maine is very limited on available transport companies, so we stupidly used them again. Our car was picked up by Ed Storey, the driver, on Monday October 5th. He told us he would have it to FL late on Wednesday or early Thursday. It was not delivered until 9:00 pm on Thursday the 8th. Of course it was dark and we could not examine the car, but we asked if there were any issues and he stated “no”. Early on Friday, we took the car out of the garage to wash it and check it over and there was substantial damage to the roof, trunk, and side of the car. We called Angie who did not answer the phone. We called Ed the Driver and he stated he may have hit a few tree limbs. On that Friday, we took the car immediately to an authorized Mercedes Collision Center for an estimate of damages. The damages to the car are in excess of $10,000. Since October 9th, we have been trying to deal with Angie and Toby at Bill’s. We received a partial payment from their insurance carrier, Progressive, but not the $2,500 deductible that Bill’s is supposed to pay. Angie also promised that Bill’s would pay for a rental car for our use when our car is being repaired, but the car is now in the shop, and we have no rental car. Progressive states that it is up to Bill’s to provide it, and of course, they have not.

Although we have spoken with Angie and Toby numerous times and have received many promises of the “check is in the mail”, it is not. Last week, Angie told us that a family emergency was to blame. Later that week, she told us that a snowstorm in Maine was to blame. This week, she promised that the check had been sent Priority Mail and she would send me a tracking number the next day (Tuesday). It is now Friday and no check has arrived and she will not answer our phone calls or our emails. Calls to Toby have gone unanswered and unreturned.

Our next step will be notifying the Maine Attorney General and Better Business Bureau.

Unfortunately, we will be hiring an attorney from this point and it’s just so unnecessary.

Based on our three experiences with Bill’s Auto Transport, we would recommend you not use this company.

Liars and scam artists. They will lie and tell you they can pick up on a requested date and hit you with the fine print. They dont care about you once you sign

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. IT IS A SCAM. This was a complete nightmare of an experience. My husband is active duty military and we are going from NC to TX to his new duty station. Myself being almost 30 weeks pregnant, we decided it would be best to ship the vehicle so I would not have to make the long drive with it. We called weeks in advance to schedule our transport from NC to TX with Daniel. We made sure to mention that the vehicle did have a few modifications (a 4 inch lift and larger tires) and were assured that this would be fine. My husband physically went outside and measured the dimensions to give them exact numbers. We paid the deposit upfront (which Daniel insisted we did through Zelle) and scheduled a pickup date and location. The pick up date was for two days prior to our move or at the latest, the day before we were set to move so it was down to the last minute. The day before pickup we had trouble getting ahold of Daniel or anyone else with the company. When we finally did get ahold of him we were told that our pickup was on schedule for the following day and that he or the driver would contact us with a pick up time. The following day (pickup day) we received no phone call from anyone and had to continually call and text to try and get an answer. We finally received a text from Daniel at 2pm and were told that the driver was stopping to fuel up soon and would call us with a pick up time. It’s now past 7 pm the night before we move and of the scheduled pickup date and we have heard nothing and are receiving no response to our multiple calls and texts. We had to frantically call around trying to find another company to do the transport and were informed by the other company that they could see the pending pickup through Veteran’s and there was no driver scheduled/assigned. So there was never anyone coming for the vehicle. We now have to have a family member drive the vehicle the full route home and spend a fortune in gas. The unprofessionalism and deception this company exhibited is ridiculous. There was zero communication or ownership taken. They basically took our money and then have led us on a wild goose chase with no actual intention of providing the service. We will be requesting our deposit back and are prepared to take legal action if necessary should we not receive it back. The worse thing of all is that this company claims to be “veteran friendly” and include it in their name but then turns around and completely screwed over an active duty military family. Not only would I not recommend this company, I’d tell you to run in the complete opposite direction. This is a complete scam.
