Because of the prior seamless service provided by Plymouth, we had zero hesitation of using their professional services again. And so happy we did. They transported my son’s car from CT to FL within the estimated timeframe, without any issues. If anyone is looking for vehicle shipping service, please call Plymouth. You will nit be disappointed!
This company advertises as if they use their own trucks and drivers and you are totally insured under them. Here is my sad story.
When I asked if they had local drivers in MA, they said they had some out of the Greater Boston area. False.
I ended up dealing with a dispatcher from Ohio and a driver from a different transport company out of Long Island.
I was told my car would be picked up Monday. False. After many excuses the car was finally picked up Thursday.
The driver said he wasn’t told my car was inoperable, which was explained to United and was included in my contract.
United said my car would fit into the enclosed trailer that they would send. False.
I received my contract from United after they processed my $300 fee. Upon reading their contract, their insurance coverage is worthless. You’d never be able to collect a nickel.
The actual hauler asked me to sign a blank box on his iPhone once my car was loaded. He said it was an acknowledgement that my car was loaded. I suspect not. Instead, I suspect I ended up signing a contract with the actual hauler.
I was afraid maybe my car would never arrive. When it did, there was minor damage. I ignored the damage. There would be no way to untangle this legal mess and get compensated.
Meanwhile United was off answering more phone calls, collecting a fee and offloading the actual hauling to some unknown company.
These guys are horrible and unfair to the industry. While they intercept vehicles to prevent other transporters from picking up the load, they leave your car sitting in their company lot before it has a driver for that route. They lie to their custo0mers and overwork their drivers and have raggedy transport trucks.
This transport company is not to be trusted. I used them and they were not honest about the charges. The owner Jaycee is a slime ball. Rude and condescending. I hope the feds come in and investigate these clowns for tax evasion. Trust me go elsewhere for your shipping needs
I tipped the driver (delivering from east coast) hoping he would take caution with my car but for some reason my car came back damaged with dents and scratches, and the driving company has a before and after pictures phone app, so it was evident with the pictures the damage was not there before. The (different) driver I received my car from in California would not let me sign a damage notice even when I showed him the company’s picture app, and threatened to start driving away with my car if I did not sign, I called the company and they told me to call the police, it was extremely unsettling and technically extortion. Very immoral, under the books, and shady for the company to use a third hand party they were not liable for. I had to just sign it and pay for the damages (over a thousand dollars) myself.
