Yelp hopefully won’t let them pay to remove this.
They missed pick up by 3 weeks forcing me to use a rental car in my new town while waiting for my car. They left mud all over the driver’s seat and doors and wheel. They delivered the car with 2 flat tires from sidewall damage (not repairable). If I did not know better, I would say they took my nice truck offroading and bouldering with the mud and sidewall damage (hard to get that kind of damage from just a sidewalk/curb).
Worst of all is the refusal to accept any sort of responsibility and pretend it doesn’t exist. Good luck getting them on the phone after delivery. They’ll just give you an email address to make the claim and not respond.
My son joined the Navy and moved to South Carolina and we needed to ship his car to him. After checking a ton of reviews on Yelp, I submitted a quote request to Coastal directly and then to other carrier companies via the Yelp quote system. Coastal was the quickest to respond and slightly less expensive than the other carriers. Due to an electrical problem with the car to be shipped, I had to delay shipment a few weeks. Henry at Coastal was the ONLY carrier to check in with me several times after the initial quote. Not a SINGLE other carrier followed up with me after the initial quote!
Anyway, the car was repaired and since Coastal has very good Yelp reviews and followed up with me, I booked with them. Henry was able to find a driver going to South Carolina fairly quickly and the transfer was scheduled.
Excellent communication throughout the entire process via text and email. At every point in the transaction, I knew who to contact to check on the progress of the shipment.
Excellent communication, excellent customer service, fair price. Highly recommended.
Henry was a pleasure to work with. I was a little scared about shipping my car, but he made the process so easy and affordable. Thankful for coastal car transport and can’t wait to use them again!
It was decent service and got the job done. I didn’t like the upcharge of price and the agent wasn’t as helpful as I thought she could’ve been. I shipped my car from LA to OKC. They were very communicative by sending auto-reminders every week. The only part that knocked some stars down for me was my Mercury agent wasn’t much help to guide me on the best timeframe to book the carrier and the final price.
They quoted me around $750, but by the final week of me being in LA the price shot up to over $1k!! That’s a huge jump. I understand the quote was an est., but those are 2 different price brackets. Like geez, I could’ve went to so many other places for that same price.
Second, I told Danielle, that I won’t be in the drop-off city until Sunday, didn’t care how long it took to get there, just as long as I was there first. She insisted that the pickup window had to be wide. When she called that an option for pickup was available for Monday, 7 days before, I told her I may wait till Tuesday, she said she didn’t think she could promise when another carrier would be in the area. I knew that pickup day would be too early. Plus, plenty of other companies kept reaching out about being in my area, so I don’t think she was telling the truth. I took her advice my car arrived in OKC 3 days early!! Such an inconvenience and no option of what to do if I’m not there. Thankfully I had friends who could help. But what would happen if I didn’t have anyone there, no one answered my question when I asked the company. The headaches could’ve been avoided. It didn’t seem like Danielle knew much about carriers, drive time, or anything.
Kristopher Wolf was our agent. He kept us updated daily until a carrier was found and our car was picked up and delivered. We would recommend this company and agent.
