AVOID at all costs! Finally posting this review because I wanted to give some time to see how the company would handle my issue. Needless to say, I’m extremely disappointed at how they handled the transportation of my vehicle. CSL is a broker and will give your transport job to a third party, which becomes a problem if any damage occurs to your vehicle. During the coast to coast transportation of my vehicle, approximately $2500 of damage was done to the front end of my car. CSL was the company chosen for the transportation and apparently the job was brokered to a different company, Z&M Transport LLC of Galveston, TX. Upon noticing the damage, I spoke with Chris, a representative from CSL about it. At that time, Chris assured me that it would be taken care of. This all changed however after I presented Chris with an estimate from an authorized repair shop. At that point an unfortunate cycle of denial of responsibility began. I tried repeatedly to get a response from both Z&M and CSL to take care of the repair for nearly a month before I went ahead and had the car repaired myself. CSL passed off the responsibility to Z&M and no one from Z&M would contact me. After a while Chris disappeared too and failed to respond to any of my text messages. Finally after 8 months, and complaints to the BBB and FMCSA, Z&M eventually reimbursed me for what I paid to repair the damage. The damage to my vehicle occurred because the driver was careless and didn’t properly secure it during transportation. As vehicle transporters, both CSL and Z&M have responsibility to their clients in making sure that the vehicles they transport remain damage free during the process. Obviously accidents can happen, and when they do, these companies have additional responsibilities including making sure their customer is made whole again after damage has occurred. This situation however is different. It wasn’t an accident because it was preventable and unfortunately these companies will not willing step up to take care of issues that arise, unless you are diligent and force them to.
