I’m the owner of Exclusive Auto Shipping, and I’ve been brokering for over 10 years. And I actually just shipped my own vehicle recently using my own services, and plan on shipping it again in August. And I must say, the services provided were spectacular. I didn’t even pay a broker fee!
Jokes aside, the vehicle shipping (and moving goods) industry is filled with all sorts of providers. From highly-rated brokers that pay attention to details, like my company – according to all the hundreds of organic positive reviews compared to 7 or 8 total negative reviews on multiple platforms – to horrible brokers that will simply bait-and-switch pricing, and possibly mishandle scheduling.
And it’s really easy to find brokers, so a customer should understand they are getting an initial estimate upon the first time talking to that broker since the broker had not spoken to any carrier about the order yet. But once a customer offers their schedule to the broker, now the broker can find a carrier, which means confirm the available schedule with the carrier along with getting an exact price that is guaranteed.
Obviously all customers want to go direct to a carrier to get their orders booked, but that simply isn’t how it works nowadays. The customer will always go through a broker unless they have a referral to the carrier. And then the customer needs to verify that carrier is licensed and insured.
Customers should check out the reviews on brokers. Make sure they are legit reviews spread out over time. Hundreds or thousands of reviews in one month is suspect. Heck, my company has 48 five-star Yelp! reviews that are ‘not recommended’ (and 1 negative). Note: I respond to all negative reviews, so feel free to read them in full.
I hope a potential customers see this and can appreciate what I’m doing. I wanted to post this over 7 years ago, but didn’t want customers thinking I was trying to fluff my reviews. Anyway, thanks for reading!
Cautionary Alert: I want to share my unfortunate experience as a victim of a scam perpetrated by Exclusive Auto Shipping. While I had never posted an online review before, the need to warn others has compelled me to do so now. Initially placing trust in Jared for the car shipping process, I researched and contacted him via Facebook and cellphone. A contract was signed for shipping my cars, and I received information about the involved company, Vision Transport LLC (contact: Viktar Somau, 747-209-3142), as shared by Jared through text messages.
Upon contacting Viktar, I arranged a pickup time. Unfortunately, Jared failed to provide proper instructions to me regarding the pickup process. Viktar, posing as a dispatcher, orchestrated the pickup through VASSA Group, a different company not covered in my agreement with Exclusive Auto Shipping. When I raised this concern with Jared, he asserted that such practices were normal for smaller companies acting as brokers, leading me to trust his service.
After the cars were shipped, Viktar requested the agreed-upon payment. I paid him, instructing him to have the keys given to my cousin. Notably, I had not signed any paperwork with VASSA Group or Vision Transport; my contractual agreement was solely with Exclusive Auto Shipping. Trusting Jared entirely, I later discovered that he may be colluding with scammers. I suspect he selectively targets victims, possibly exploiting my foreign status, as he played a pivotal role in orchestrating this elaborate scam.
Following the shipment, Viktar, who had received payment, resorted to threats, specifically warning against contacting someone named ERDEM KILIC at 310-801-8367, whose account received my payment. The scammer even attempted to exploit my ethnicity and mentioned my family. It’s essential to exercise caution when dealing with Exclusive Auto Shipping. Despite my initial booking cost of $2150, I ended up losing more money due to the additional funds required to release my cars from the scammers’ hold. Jared, ironically, continues to portray himself as the victim, while I am left with the financial loss. Be vigilant when considering Exclusive Auto Shipping for your needs.
