what a joke. I was in contact with someone named “Noel”. I never used an auto transport service but I chose to go woth this one and I was always uneasy. Noel initially didn’t make me feel comfortable or like he was gonna get the job done. I gave him two weeks to find someone to pick up my car. He claims this service doesn’t work on the weekends. Guess what? 2 days before my deadline, no communication. 1 days before, no communication. In fact, all the times i called and texted him was the only communication we had. No courtesy message to let me know he couldn’t find anyone, nothing. All a big lie and unprofessional. Now i’m stuck leaving on a flight tomorrow to find out what I can do.

Elisa is great!! She gave me a great quote and stood by her word! My car came very quickly from Florida to Texas in two days! Thank you so much Elisa!!

Perfect example of bait and switch. I regularly ship my car from Delray Beach to Boston and back.

This time around, I got a quote from Alisa at Fine Auto Transport who purports to be the owner of Fine Auto Transport LLC (Order #25073-LF) for $700 in late April. It was a good price so I called to confirm and told her I needed her assurance that she would not call me the pickup week and ask for hundreds more. (which has happened with other brokers) . She assured me over and over she did not operate that way. She had a convincing and honest sounding pitch and told me she simply did not bait and switch! She assured me late April was good. Shame on me, I believed her.

I called her on Monday of the pick up week and she promised to call me back by the end of the day. After nothing for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I called her on Thursday,. She had no explanation for not calling back. She then tells me I’ll have to pay $1100 to get the car transported. She has no recall of our detailed discussion and her assurances of a month earlier. Total amnesia.

So here is how they work, they give you an attractive price in hopes that you’ll stop looking. Then, they wait to your pick up date which is often a day or two before your own departure. Now they have you between a rock and a hard place with no time to find an alternate. It truly is the perfect bait and switch.
