The company is a broker and contracts the transport to a third party. The company did not contact me so I had to contact them to ensure a transporter was going to pick it up on or after the readied date. Originally, I had placed a transport order from door to port. The transporter was unable to come to my house so I had to drive a few miles to meet him in a grocery store parking lot. He showed up with a Ford 1-ton truck with a gooseneck trailer. No DOT number was displayed on the driving truck. But he showed me documentation. I have placed several tracking devices on the vehicle and was fully insured so I didn’t really care much about losing it. I had used other transporters before but this was by far more work than I had to do before. However, I still got my car to Hawaii in a timely manner. I just wanted to share my experience so you can make an educated decision.
Car got here in one piece and not damaged. Service wasn’t very helpful and after waiting 2 additional weeks I called daily asking for an update. As if by magic another 2 weeks later (1 month later) my car was ready for pickup. Hard to find the pickup entrance and very pricey. If you want quality service and your car to arrive quickly and on time find another service provider. Don’t trust these ones on their timelines or updates.
So i ended up on the phone with the supervisor. My connection was bad so i asked him to talk slower so i could catch everything. He told me to listen faster. He kept cutting me off and just wanted to argue. . .which i was happy to do but then it just got old.
He didnt even have my buisness yet. They claim they are the least expensive. My reserach is showing that not to be true. But even if it is, its worth a little more to get a friendly individual, good communication, and good customer service. There are two other car carriers that are direct and have much better reviews.
