When shopping for a company to ship my car, I read many of the previous reviews here. I was nervous to use Hawaii Car Transport because of the reviews. Their price was $1K cheaper than another company! I called someone who I knew shipped her car, and she actually used this company twice without a glitch. I decided to trust someone I personally knew over the reviews. I’m so glad I did. Everything went smoothly. It was easy to drop off the car, and it was easy to pick up the car on the date I was told it would arrive.

Like others, I couldn’t use the online tracker. HOWEVER, one simple phone call to them provided me the information I needed. No big deal.

Rob A. was wonderful to work with. He constantly followed up on my initial request for information, and he walked me through the steps. As a first-time auto shipper, Rob A. helped to make the process a lot less worrisome.

Thank you, Hawaii Car Transport, for doing an excellent job!

I have now used these guys twice, both times excellent service. Keep in mind they are merely brokers, who arrange with carriers to transport the vehicles. So they earn their stripes by staying connected to reliable carriers and providing good customer service, both of which these guys do. On one occasion, I had to arrange transport quickly, in less than a week for two vehicles. They cam through with flying colors. There is no pushy — rude — or hard sell going on here. They charge a bit more but its’ worth it.

I’ll admit I was a but nervous about using this service after reading some of the reviews. However, I noticed a trend with the 1 star reviews: MOST had their vehicle picked up from their home rather than dropping it off at the port. Luckily for me, I live in California so I had the option to personally drop off my vehicle and save the extra $300. Please note that Hawaii car transport uses a 3rd party to pickup your vehicle if you decide to use the home-to-port service and I believe that is where the majority of the communication breakdown begins. I decided to use HCT because it saved me a little money rather than going directly through Matson (HCT was sending my vehicle via Matson anyway so why pay more, right?!?!) I dropped my vehicle off but it didn’t make it on the first ship due to having large rims even though I checked with Matson and they assured me there wouldn’t be an issue. HCT called me right away and let me know of the issue. I wasn’t happy but I also understood that getting upset would accomplish nothing. My vehicle arrived 6 days later than expected with no damage. I got a phone call they day it was available for pickup and the transaction was simple. I would use them again.
