I wish I could give this company zero stars. 16 DAYS SINCE PICKUP AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY VEHICLE. Everything about my experience has been absolutely terrible.

August 21:

My original pick up was scheduled for 8/21 between 3 – 5 p. I called to confirm this time slot multiple times so that I would be available. (It’s difficult for me to take off time from work) The driver showed up at 1 pm without warning that they would be early. Needless to say it was a disaster. Long story short, we ended up having to cancel this transportation carrier and schedule a new one – Car Post, Inc.

New driver was scheduled for the 22nd at 10 am.

August 22:

Driver showed up an hour and a half late. Okay, cool. I was quoted that my car would arrive in MA (from CA) BY August 30 the latest.

August 29:

I call King of the Road to check on the status of my vehicle. No response. Left a message.

August 31:

NO CAR. After not hearing from the company for days, I call multiple times and receive no response. I leave multiple messages, no response.

Finally I get a call back saying that the “driver has had issues and broke down.” Okay, no problem. I understand things happen, I’m not unreasonable. I was just glad my car wasn’t stolen. I was told my car would be guaranteed by end of day Monday September 3.

September 4:

Tuesday morning rolls around, still no car. Again, no response to calls or messages.

September 5:

FINALLY I got a call back. The “driver has had issues and broke down” (Are you F***ING serious? Think of a new excuse.) my car will be delivered by end of day, September 6.

September 6 (Today):

…… I just got a call from Car Post, Inc. saying there was a delay and “I will be updated with an estimate of delivery as soon as possible.”

This company needs to get their act together, find better carriers, and improve communication. ASAP.

Let me start by saying I never feel the need to leave a negative review on a business. This just goes to show how awful my experience has been. This business is terrible. My wife and I have had to physically harass the company to recieve any updates at all.

It’s been well over a week since the promised delivery day, and for the past 3 days, they’ve said the same thing. “Your driver is close and the vehicle will be delivered tomorrow”. That was two tomorrows ago. Still no vehicle. My update today was “your driver will be there tomorrow”. Of course.

This place is a despicable scam, and they justify the terrible service by blaming the people THEY pay to contract out for delivery. The reviews say it all.

Hey, King of the Road,

If you have terrible experiences with your drivers, as many of these reviews reflect, take responsibility for your own actions and HIRE SOME DIFFERENT DRIVERS.

0/10, NEVER use this company. You’re better off pushing your car coast to coast.

UPDATE! The car was delivered today, with 10 miles to Empty in the tank. Initially upon pick up, there was 140. We also found a receipt for McDonald’s breakfast in the passenger seat floor area from the morning the car was delivered, well before it got to us. This place is a joke.

First impression was great – sales rep was informative, helpful, fast, polite. However I booked and enclosed truck a month in advance and got a call 4 days before pickup that they didn’t have a truck yet. After agreeing to pay an additional $100, they still couldn’t find a truck, and they didn’t return my calls/texts for over a day – 2 days before requested pickup. Said I’d accept an open truck and they found one, but pickup was 6 hours late and delivery was 3 days late. Lastly, I found out an hour before delivery (from the driver, not from King of the Road) that I needed a cashiers check to pay the driver directly. When people say this industry isn’t reliable, believe them. Good news is the car arrived fine and the stuff we packed in it was all there too.
