I’ve used this company to transport my car cross-country twice, in 2014 and again in February 2017. The first time everything was perfect, no damages, nothing missing, shipping was fast, honestly couldn’t ask for better service. Since my first experience was so easy I decided to use KOTR a second time, only this time the transport didn’t go as smoothly. Upon delivery, my car was missing the front license plate. I contacted Marc who helped with setting up the order, great representative btw, he got me in touch with Customer Service where they took over the claim. After almost 3 weeks the customer service representative finally got back to me and said there was nothing they could do for me and the carrier insurance doesn’t cover missing license plates. Now I have to figure out how to get a new set of license plates. If asked I would still recommend this company but just make sure you remove your plates if you don’t want to deal with the mess I’m in.
Well, they are kinda like someone who is only interested in you for sex. They are very attentive at first (calling and emailing constantly) but then once you put your car onto the auto-carrier, then you can’t get them on the phone. Once they have your deposit and your car, the customer service department and your agent will be incommunicado.
Oh, and the “Track Your Car” button on the website is not some sophisticated GPS tracking system. It is you entering your information and hopefully someone will email you back. Although, they never emailed me back….
