i previously gave a ripping review but I must say that the company has reached out to me and resolved my issues to my satisfaction
I wish more companies would take the time to address customer concerns as Moving of America has . So I am comfortable amending my review
July 2021- Spoke with Johnny. Tried to reach out. Find out he’s had a baby with no away message. Called the office and once again was told I’ll call you back. I followed up (did not receive call back) and they “don’t have availability” it’s funny how when you over promise and a potential client calls you out on your over promise or lack of transparency how all of a sudden you don’t have availability.
Update on 12/31- I received a call 6 months later offering me a gift card to revoke my review….
They quit in the middle of the move. A representative came to our house 2 months before our move, saw everything we had to move, where it was located (attic, basement, main floors, and garage), and gave us a quote. When moving day arrived, a moving crew arrived with a “supervising foreman” who looked around everything again and insinuated it was too much stuff for the price and time quoted and they would need to speak with their sales team about a supplement to the estimate previously provided. As it was moving day and we only had 4 days to get out, we had little choice but to accept this and wait for a call from the sales team. As the move began, we received the call and were told the move would take an additional 9-12 hours of overtime charge. We were less than pleased but again, we were stuck as we had 4 days to get out. The crew worked for half a day on day one, a full day on day two, and on the third day we were told they “had taken another job” and would have to come back another day in a week or two. This left us, people in our 70’s, to finish moving half our house by ourselves in order to meet the deadline. This meant we had to hire a uhaul truck and make several trips back and forth from our old house to the new house to finish the move; incurring daily rental and $2 a mile, mileage fees which resulted in an additional $1500 of moving costs. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND RUNNING A RACKET
