Based on the mostly positive reviews and a convincing initial discussion with Meghan, I booked my car transport from NJ to Texas with N-Motion. It turned out to be a nightmare.

The first issue came up when the driver I booked for a Saturday pickup arrived at the car dealership one day early (on Friday) and I did not find out via the transport company, but rather a call from my contact at the dealership. Meghan was very apologetic, explained that she didn’t know why that happened, and committed to find another driver as soon as possible. I heard nothing from Meghan for the rest of the day Friday and also through Saturday, so I tried calling and emailing her for an update. When I didn’t receive a response, I tried calling the main number for N-Motion, and immediately got a message that “the voice mailbox for Joshua is full”. I hadn’t worked with a Joshua before so wasn’t sure who this was. When I tried again an hour later, someone picked up with a “Hello?” — I asked if I had reached N-Motion, which they responded with a “yes.” I explained the situation, and was told that Meghan had left for the day, but I should try her cellphone. When I explained that I left a voicemail already, the response I got was “I have no operations people here, so there’s not much I can do”, but I would receive a call back. No one ever called me back. By this time, my credit card was charged the full shipment amount, even though I was promised that my card would not be charged until a driver was confirmed and booked.

On Monday, I was told that a driver would pick up the car between 3 and 5 PM that day. I got a call from the dealership that the driver told them the car would be picked up the following day. Another call to Meghan, that driver was cancelled, and it was back to square one to find another driver. Finally they found someone to pick up the car on Wednesday and thankfully I received the car by the following weekend.

I was appalled at the lack of communication, professionalism, and customer service. Once my credit card was charged and issues arose, both me and the dealership learned about the issues first, and I needed to chase someone down at N-Motion to inform them of the issues and try and get someone to deal with them. Working with N-Motion was one of the worst, most frustrating customer service experiences I can remember. Hopefully this review saves someone else from a similarly bad experience.

I use N-Motion Auto Transport for all of my shipping needs. I own a dealership here in Southern California called Cali Auto Group and Ryan & Josh take care of me and my customers all the time. I highly highly highly recommend them. If you ever need to ship a vehicle or truck or anything … Call them! They have even helped us ship some vehicles out of the country.

Every time is a smooth transaction and process.
