We shipped a car from CA to TX. This is our 3x shipping a car. The interaction with NCT was ok. They said they’d give me the driver’s number so that we could coordinate but they actually gave me the number of the ower of the semi, who then had to call the driver. It was a bit cumbersome and time-consuming to have to go through him to get answers. That did a get a big frustrating when we needed answers quickly. The transportation company itself was very vague on pick up and drop off so I was not happy about that since it take so much coordination to get a car picked up. I would go with a different company next time. As previously stated this isn’t our first time and we’ve had much smoother experiences with other companies.
I’m not in the mood for long detailed reviews especially for dishonest company like this one.
I went to their website to get a quote for transfer a car from Roswell, GA 30076 to Miami, FL 33182 and the numbers were around 30% higher than average. So I kept on looking for other options until I got a phone call from them suggesting the quote was in error. So the new quote was below the competition average and the pickup/delivery estimates the best on the whole world. So I said LET’S DO IT!
The day the pickup was schedule nobody showed, I made phone calls and nobody answered, the number they provided me for the driver was a wrong number. After the weekend was over I called Gary Cooper which was the person that gave me the magical numbers and he told me to be calm that my car was going to be pickup in few hours…
To make a longer story short, the company they subcontracted for the pickup never showed, that company already canceled the service and National Car Transport® kept pretending they was going to render the service. So I called another company that the dealer suggested, they pick up the car the next day and the following it was delivered in perfect conditions.
As per the dishonest Gary Cooper / National Car Transport® I asked to cancel the service and refund my $200 deposit which I still waiting to receive. Gary told me the refund was going to take place on or before September 10th and today a week later I opened a Credit Card Claim, and tomorrow will file a claim with the BBB.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I hired National Auto Transport to transport my car from New Jersey to Florida, where my new home was. Having an “A” rating on Angie’s List, I decided to hire their services…what a mistake! After receiving what I considered a fair price, I signed the agreement and Leo Rubio, their representative, told me he would call when they had arranged to get a driver to accept my car for transport and I wouldn’t hear from him until several days before the mutually agreed upon pick up date. Two days before my car was to be picked up, I still hadn’t heard from Leo, so I called him. He stated that he found a driver and that he would either pick the car up on Friday or Saturday, but the driver would call the day before to confirm. On Friday morning at 7:00 AM, I get a call from the driver that he was on my street to pick up the car (no prior phone call, obviously). When I signed his paperwork, I noticed that he was charging me 600 dollars upon delivery, which was 75 dollars more than my contracted price with National, which was 725 dollars with a 200 dollar deposit. The driver said that the trip would take three days and it would be at my house on Monday. I told him that he needed to call my sister-in-law about an hour before he arrived as she lived nearby and would be taking delivery and paying him the balance. He agreed. After the driver left with my car, I called Leo to inquire why I never received a call from the driver prior to pick up and he said that it was “very unusual” that that happened. I also inquired about the price discrepancy, which he said was due to the gas prices going up after Hurricane Harvey and all of the drivers wanting more money, but he would credit me the 75 dollars back to my account (which never happened). On Monday, I called the driver to ask what time he would be getting to my house so I could call my sister -in-law and have her leave her house and take delivery and he answered ” I’m still in Jersey!” HE HADN’T LEFT YET!! He told me if he could get out the car would probably be dropped off on Thursday. Not a phone call or a reasonable explanation as to why he hadn’t even started the trip yet. Calls to Leo were fruitless, he danced around every issue, never answered my emails and as of today, has not issued me my credit for the overcharge. The car was finally delivered on Friday, full of bugs, a full four days after the promise date. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!
