Always deliver our shipments on time and in tact. Very friendly and professional drivers as well as their staff that schedules our shipment for pick up.
We had a delivery yesterday (3/10/2022) of some chemicals we get regularly. Normally everything is fine, but, yesterday, not so much.
I received a call from the driver asking how to get to my location, I told him the location and that backing in is one way some of his fellow drivers did it. About 30-45 minutes later I received a call from the driver again asking about the location again (we have a 140′ gravel road that opens up into our fully paved asphalt property). So he backs up (he didn’t have issues, it was quick). When he steps out though, the first words out of his mouth are “your situation here is fucked up and you need to fix it”. I was taken aback but ignored it. He started unlocking the truck loading door and asked “do you have a forklift?” in which I replied “no, that’s why we require you guys to come with a lift gate and pallet jack”. He actually glared at me and in a chastising voice said ” you are SUPPOSED to have a forklift”. I replied “we have never had one and have been getting these deliveries for 50+ years”. In which he replied “well you fuckin need one”. He handed me the delivery papers to sign, so I did.
At this time I noticed he had two pallet jacks, both a standard one, and an electric one, which is the one he used to get the pallets to the lift gate, then he switched to the normal one. He brought them down and I said “they go over there by the white buckets (the location is about 60ft away on paved asphalt, it’s even a slow slope downhill). He replied “nope, too heavy.” He then dropped the pallet on out handicapped parking spot and said “you should have had a forklift, it’s your problem.” So I took the signed delivery slip and said “then you don’t get a confirmed delivery and you can explain it to you boss.” I then walked away. He of course wasn’t done and I could hear him yelling: “you need to fucking sign, I had a bad fucking day, you’re a fucking asshole, this is fucking bullshit, fuck you!”…
Uh, your company needs to check your employees, this is the most unprofessional and just gross attitude I have EVER dealt with. I literally have NEVER had ANYTHING like this happen. YOUR EMPLOYEE WAS A GROSS, VULGAR, SLOB, MANCHILD, HE NEEDS TO BE MAKING FRIES, NOT DRIVING HEAVY VEHICLES AND MAKING DELIVERIES OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS.
Extremely rude driver. Nothing but attitude. Came in and said I’ve been waiting 15 minutes for someone. Instead of coming in and letting us know he was out side in the first place. Not very smart. Rude dude.
