Be ready to forfeit your deposit. If the driver that he hires for you does not work for reasons out of your control, you will not be seeing it back. Good luck even getting Gilbert back on the phone to discuss it. Shady business practices at best.
Gilbert at Philam found me the best rate for shipping my car cross-country. Understand that they’re a broker, so they’re not the ones delivering the vehicle, but they saved me at least $300.
I was a little taken aback by how casual it seemed e-mailing Gilbert, who replies quickly with one sentence replies. I can understand others who are put off by this, but it’s efficient. There was one miscommunication where my car was a GTI but the carrier expected a Jetta, but it didn’t make a material difference.
I felt a little anxious being told I wouldn’t have confirmation of a carrier until 72 hours before, but he got it confirmed a week in advance, which put me at ease.

They made a mistake in listing the vehicle and then at the last minute tried to pass the cost on to me. They’re just not good at doing business. I would not use them or recommend them.
