I worked with David to transport 2 vehicles from Long Island to California. My vehicle was delivered on the promised date and was in perfect condition. My husband’s SUV was transported by another trucker and was a horrible experience. David was easy to get ahold of and always polite and pleasant (until I complained about his service), however, I ended up doing most of the work to try and locate my husband’s vehicle and receive updates including. After a lot of time and research on my part, I came up with a couple phone numbers for Starway Logistics (the shipper) and provided those to David since the numbers we were given always had full voicemails. The car was due in California on 7/7 but we didn’t receive it until 10:30 PM on the 11th and when I questioned the driver he told us he didn’t even leave PA until the 7th! David said he did try to get updates daily, but he never communicated that to me. When I told him how upset we were and that I felt like I had to do his job, he became quite indignant and defensive.

n absolute headache from start to finish.

Initially I received a call from Riley Wells of Prestige Auto Transport. She immediately let me know my quote was $350 flat, no hidden fees, no surprises and that she would get back to me within two hours regarding pick up time.

24 Hours pass and I decide to touch base. She apologized for not calling and said she would, again, call no later than two hours.

Three days pass and I’m contacted at 0830 in the morning with her saying she has a truck that’s on the way and will be here no later than 45 minutes. She sends the contract over via email and now the price is $500. A $150 increase from the original price. I declined to sign and stated I would find someone else as they offered $400. She immediately gets on the offensive with statements such as “You won’t find better”, “That’s not possible, we all monitor the same system”, “Give me their number so I can ask them”.

I ultimately hang up only to be texted that she’s willing to do $450. I still decline. I then receive a call from Riley that she’ll lower to $425, I still decline and she scoffs while replying “really? you’re going to miss out on this over $25?”

I then receive a call from another number saying they’ll do it for $400 after all (I can hear Riley in the background stating the new price).

I accepted their $400 offer and paid out a $50 deposit to which I asked if I’d be able to use the same source of payment for the remaining $350. She stated I would be able to and I wouldn’t be billed until the vehicle has been delivered.

24 hours later the vehicle has made it to its destination however the driver is demanding payment via cash or check. I called Riley back and she stated “Well use cashapp or have someone deliver the money”

Luckily I was able to come to an agreement with the driver to mail him a money order for the remaining amount. Something he absolutely did not have to do for me.

In summary, after reading many of the reviews for this company I’m sure they’ve had many happy and satisfied customers. However my experience was absolutely awful with their representative Riley Wells. I didn’t appreciate the bait and switch tactic, being lied to regarding payments, and having an overall unprofessional individual handling my transport logistics.

EDIT: shortly after posting this review I recieved call from Riley asking to remove this review in exchange for a $50 credit. I declined to which she replied “Well, I believe in karma.”

This entire company is a joke.

Update: Following posting this review I was contacted via email once again by Riley Wells. She proceded to tell me that I was lying in my review and I “need a hobby” and “obviously have no life”. Stay far away people.

Recently I was looking for vehicle transport. I had already spoke with a broker and they were in the process of finding me a driver.

I was contacted via email by Riley Wells at Prestige Auto informing me that the broker I was using had listed my vehicle on the national load board and that she knew they would not be able to find me a driver at the promised time or at the agreed upon price. She offered to chat with me about using Prestige Auto instead of my original broker.

I spoke with my original broker and they could not deny what Riley was telling me so I cancelled my booking with them.

Afterwards I emailed Riley asking for price quotes for Prestige Auto while also contacting my second choice of broker from the previous deal. After looking at reviews and speaking to people, I felt like my other choice was the better between the two so I booked with them.

As soon as I booked with the other company, I received an email from Riley Wells informing me that they had to cancel drivers for me (I never asked for anything other than a quote) because the driver said I was a dry run and he only deals with “serious customers”. She also stated that I should “PICK ONE REPUTABLE COMPANY!” and that I was paying too much with the company I had chosen.

I am happy with my decision to not give Prestige Auto my business after seeing how Riley Wells treats potential customers. I would look elsewhere for transport before choosing to deal with her.
