Classic bait and switch, bordering on extortion. They quoted me a price to transport my daughter’s car up to college. I signed the contract. Then the day before the transport, Safeeds contacted me and told me that if I didn’t pay 50% more, they would not ship the car (with a bs story about how the transport company upped the price and there was nothing they could do). I was told that I could look elsewhere, with literally hours before the car had to be shipped. I’ll be contacting the BBB. Such a shady company.
Great service delivered on time. The cost was very reasonable. Car was delivered in great condition and driver was very friendly.
If I could give negative stars for this company I would. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was promised multiple times a driver would be here today by 2pm. We are moving out of state tomorrow morning. The car had to be picked up today. After 6 attempts to contact Steve Brown, our broker he has now stopped responding and there’s no one available to pick our car up. This reservation was made over a week and a half ago. Their website states they do not charge a deposit until a carrier is secured. No carrier has been secured, but they sure went ahead and charged our card 150$. Now we are going to have to spend even more money we don’t have to fly back to Californina and drive our car to Portland. As soon as I finish with this review, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Please, if anyone happens to read this, do not do business with Safeeds Transport. As if moving isn’t stressful enough, this company makes it worse with their shady business practices.
