Be aware when using Sherpa. I received a quote to ship my car home five weeks prior to my departure. I never received another word from them until I had one week to go. They said they were confident they would have a carrier in time. They finally secured a carrier two days before departure. However the very next day with one day remaining the carrier canceled and Sherpa had not other options. We had to cancel our plans and drive our car home. Never again!
As we had a tight schedule, I paid Sherpa a $200 premium for a specified pick up window. The driver did not meet the time window, so I requested a refund of the $200. At first Sherpa refused. When I escalated, however, Sherpa did agree to provide the refund.
Terrible company. they We’re unable to pick up our car as promised but kept telling us we would have a carrier up until the day before our move date. They then told us to find another option because they couldn’t do it. Nothing like trying to find another carrier on the last day in town. They could have informed us days prior. Very poor company filled with liars.
