I recently hired these guys for shipping my car from California to Birmingham. Initially, Gilles Gener used to call me when I requested free online quote and later on he disappeared once I paid them the money and didn’t answer my phone calls. Nicole LaNeve was then in touch with me. One thing in general surprises me that all of these brokers while speaking to customers tells them that they have career available, however, after booking with them, you would come to know that they don’t and there may be a wait time.

Coming back to my experience, they assigned the career within 2 days which was good. Also reduced the original deposit charge from $150 to $100. They told me that because of memorial day weekend, not many careers are available at that time. My car was picked up 2nd day from the start date I provided them.

Instead of estimated 7 days, the career took 15 days because their truck broke in Arizona. I don’t blame them for this thing but still I was expecting them to inform me about the incident on Thursday when I was waiting for my car to arrive in the evening. My career told me that they thought broker might have told me and when I asked broker (Nicole), she told me that it’s the responsibility of career. The blame game started.

Nicole was nice in responding my emails for 70% of the time but later on when I started asking questions regarding insurance and other things, I noticed a delay in response and less interest towards answering my questions.

Later on, I was inquiring about the insurance coverage, Nicole told me that the career has $250K coverage for all the cars which was true as per the insurance document. The Bill of Lading I signed with the career mentioned that there will be $200 deductible in case of damages and they will cover only $15k max cost. Above that my insurance company will have to bear the cost. When I asked Nicole about this, she told me to contact the career only. Looks like they don’t care what their bill of lading says . In the end, I had to pay the original price to the truck driver which was $795 and the carrier (USB Freight) was not even interested in reducing a single penny despite getting late 1 week. Again, Nicole was helpless when I asked her to interfere in this matter. So eventually I ended up paying around $1200 and 15 days wait time for my car shipping including the cost of rental car I had to bear at my destination.

My car arrived in perfect condition but in case I would have to go through any damage related issues, I can imagine how difficult it would have been for me to get answers from these people.
