**DO NOT USE THIS CARRIER**

BOOK A LOAD WITH THEM ON THURSDAY 09/29/2016. I was told by “Jen M” that my load will pick up Friday 09/30/2016 1st thing 8am. When I called at 7:00am to get an update Jen was not in the office. I called back an hour later after being bounced around I finally got a hold of her. Only to be told that her driver was still getting empty 5 miles away and that he should be at my pick up within an hour. After and a couple hours of this I was finally advised by Jen that driver was on site for my pick up, THANK GOD! I updated my system as so and let my customer know that driver was on site waiting to get loaded. Only to find out that Carrier never show up. When I try to call back to find out what was happening Jen “left for the day”. Then I was working with Justin and Sam who told me don’t worry driver is on his way to pick up now. After calling them 100 times and stringing us along all the way to 4pm we were told the driver finally made it to pick up. Only to find out again that that was a LIE. Luckily I had a back up carrier to recover load at last minute to save this shipment and customer but it cost us more to do so. I’ve been in this business for over 13 years and I’ve never worked with the a carrier as BAD as them.

We booked a HOT shipment from MA to CA to pick up on 05/20/16 and deliver on 05/26/16. Prior to booking this load with Sam at Statewide, we went over all of the requirements which were that our customer requires an air ride van only (no reefers) and pictures of the freight prior to loading, once securely loaded in the trailer, the seal on the trailer & a picture of the freight once unloaded. Once booked, I spoke to the driver who also confirmed he would abide by the requirements. The only picture I received was a blurry photo of a crate on the dock. 3 hours later after several phone calls, Sam sends me a photo that he took of his computer screen showing a crate strapped in a trailer. The whole thing was shady, but he led me to believe that everything would deliver fine. I received updates from him daily on the driver location. On 05/26/16 @ 8:18am, he told me the driver was 30mi away from delivery. Around 1pm, realized that we never received a check call or the photo of the freight once unloaded. I called Sam and he said that the driver was 3mi away but he was busy and would deliver at 3pm. What? Something didn’t sound right so I drove down to the consignee since my office is close by and confirmed that he double brokered to Uppal Brothers Trucking and that the trailer was a reefer. I was lied to the entire process from start to finish. What I know to be a fact is that the trailer that picked up was not a reefer, yet it delivered on a reefer (transloaded). I called the trucking company that delivered it and confirmed that the load was brokered to them by Statewide Express. Our Broker Carrier agreement explicitly states that double brokering is prohibited. Sam lied by saying that the driver was leased on as an Owner Operator. They also broke the contracted agreement by not providing the required pictures. This load was double brokered as a partial when I booked an exclusive use dedicated truckload.

Do yourself a favor and move on if you see this carrier on the load boards or if you get a call from them on a posted load. They will double broker your shipment and lie to you as they did to me and many others, I’m sure.

Statewide Express Inc hauled a shipment for me that was extremely important.

I needed two pallets worth of meat for my hamburger store, the Great White Hut.

They expedited a shipment from Pico Rivera, CA to Glendale, CA within a couple hours; Literally, it took me a couple hours to find them and have the shipment transferred to my location.

This company is extremely professional, and I am more than pleased with their customer service and results.

I definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to ship products within the 48 states.
