Ron scheduled transportation and knew he was shipping the body of a vehicle on a dolly, not a running car and no way to put it on a traditional car transport. When the first truck showed up and couldn’t take it, Ron rescheduled a different transportation company and raised the rate by 15%. I was not aware of this increase until after the body had been picked up. During my communication with Ron, he proceeded to dare me to “go to war” with him and fling insults as if it’ was his job. I will go out of my way to avoid Ron due to his lack of professionalism and poor business practice and suggest everyone else do the same.
Waste of my time.. I contacted Ron at Sweet Spot transport on 2/24. That day I accepted his offer, and my sons car was to be picked up on 3/8. He rarely kept in touch with me, and my sons car was never picked up. I decided on 3/10 to call around, and find a different transport company. I found one that day, and car is to be picked up tomorrow. This was very important to me because my son is a new Marine, and I wanted to get his car to him across the country asap. I should have done more research. Ron at Sweet spot is a broker. Not a carrier. He calls around for the best prices after he quotes you. He actually also called the company I decided to go with, and declined their offer a couple of days ago. He low balled me, and he wouldn’t have made any $$ off of them. Yes, he does give a good price. Doesn’t mean he’s going to accept offers anytime soon, or get back to you politely. He told me to be patient. I was until the date of pickup, came and went and the car was still here. The best price, isn’t always the best option. I do not recommend going with this one man company. Had I not contacted him, my son would’ve been driving around in his car weeks ago!
All you have to do is look up my review of ASAP transport which Ron Stewart of sweet spot transport uses. Promises made promises not kept. I will never use either of these companies again. If you ever watched transport wars on television you will know what I mean. I was given a low ball price and then raised $200.00. I was promised delivery in four days it took eight. Directions of where to deliver weren’t followed. Delivery was at nine o’clock at night. This was a 56 Classic Chevy that needed to be inspected but was delivered to the wrong place not the garage where it was supposed to go. Promised this would be looked into and I would be got back to never happened. Wouldn’t recommend either company.
