So far I am unimpressed and quite nervous about my car (aka, my 2yr old baby). But I will update this when my car is actually delivered in case my “experience” changes.

So far it took 3 iterations of the invoice to get the ship to and invoice address correct (the correct state in one case), many emails to get clarification on needed paperwork, after telling me they wouldn’t take it until it was paid in full, they called me up wanting to take it (even after me asking if the invoice had been paid (company move) and they said no, but that’s okay we can start it shipping) and then when it got half way (California – the move is from Hawaii to Massachusetts) they announce they won’t deliver it until the invoice is paid (erm, aren’t you supposed to disclose that before people give you their most expensive possessions??), and now they want me to pay for storage until the payment is processed by my company. So in the middle of an already stressful move i’m having to try and get my new company to expedite payment (not the best way to move into a new job), have no idea what is happening to my car and on top of that am having TAS trying to turn it around and blame me for not telling them how long the invoice would take to pay (seriously?? How should I know, and if they’d asked or mentioned the “no delivery” thing, i would have darn well found out before dropping the baby in their hands!).

The people there seem nice, and certainly in the booking process I was initially impressed (much more so than other companies i’d asked for quotes from who were slow and uninterested – TAS seemed to want your business and want to be helpful), but there are some flaws in procedure or something going on, but either way, you should never not disclose something so major to someone until after you’ve taken possession of their car, and then to try and blame the customer….??

All in all, extremely stressful to date. I’ll update when the car makes it as to what the rest of its journey goes like….
