Do NOT ship with Trusty Transport. It took 21 days to get my vehicle, when I was told it’d arrive between 7 – 10 days. They are unprofressional, answer phone calls initially only to secure your business and rarely provide an update or any remorse when they are late. You have to constantly, call/text to find out where they are and it completely is not the way to go. I would never do business with them again, and am also contacting the BBB.
They don’t return phone calls, hold your car and any plans you may have had. Very deceptive because they’re nice in the beginning to get your business and then serve you bull along the way. I’m surprised they’re still in business.
Don’t trust Robbie, it’s never on time. There is nothing Trusty about Trusty Transport.
If I could give less than a star I would. We attempted to have our vehicle shipped by this company only to be left in a bind at the last minute.
My husband and I are both active duty and needed to have one of our vehicles shipped for a permanent change of station. We decided to go with Trusty Transport due to their claim of being military friendly and having years of experience.
After receiving their quote, I inquired about the military discount they claim they offer via email. Their response – “Not out of Wyoming. We are low on this to begin with.” Not Sir or Ma’am, or Thanks for your understanding please contact us if you have further questions, just two sentences. That should have been our first red flag.
Despite their false ad about a military discount and unprofessional communication, we made an appointment for them to pick up our vehicle for shipment; three weeks in advance of when we were supposed to leave the state. The day before they were supposed to pick up our vehicle we hadn’t heard from them. We called to find out what time they were coming only to find out they weren’t. Robert told us that “his dad was down at the desk bitching about it this morning because they didn’t have a driver scheduled” and that “nobody wants to drive to Wyoming in the winter during the holidays.” Rather than call us in advance and let us know there might be issues they did NOTHING. Who knows if they would have called at all.
Unacceptable! We asked what they were going to do to fix it and were told they’d call us back. We ended up having to leave our vehicle behind with a relative because of their incompetence. We finally got a call back though – TWO WEEKS LATER! Military moves are hard enough; unless you want added stress DO NOT go with this company!
I booked Trusty Transport to ship my husband’s car during a military move from Texas to California. Once I signed with them, they would only communicate through text and were very short. For example, I would call them and they would not answer but would send a text saying “just text.”; They also would not reply to my e-mails.
In some miscommunication with my husband, I thought we no longer needed transport, so I cancelled our order with Trusty Transport. I was ok with this because their communication was weird, but I hadn’t had any problems with them up to that point. According to their contract (point 14), a customer can cancel the order before a driver or transporter had been assigned, which I did. I emailed, left a voicemail, and texted that I was canceling the order, but they never responded to me (the first bad sign).
Turns out, we did need to ship the car, but because I never heard from them again I went with another (and more expensive) company. They were unable to ship my car because Trusty Transport did not take it down from the national dispatch board they all share. When I reached out to ask them to take it down, they responded with a rude reply and said they would take it down but they never did. When they didn’t I asked them to again, and said if they didn’t I would have to take further action, to which they responded “Do not threaten me young lady.” I have never heard from them again and they have not taken my car down from the dispatch board.
The other company I hired was able to get it taken off the dispatch board, but then Trusty Transport put it back up at a higher price, again blocking my car from getting shipped.
Because they refuse to take it down, they are blocking the other company from getting a driver, and it has been over 3 weeks since I needed my car shipped. Now my husband is at work with my car, leaving me at home with our 9 month old all day. This means that I have had to cancel check ups at the doctor, can’t finish things for our move, have missed out on important meetings on post, cannot take my daughter to the park to play or for a walk, and cannot get her anywhere if an emergency happens (we live in a secluded area).
Trusty Transport says they are military friendly, but they are NOT. They are angry I hired someone else, and they are blocking me from getting my car. They are horrible with communication, extremely rude, petty, and do NOT care about the customer. They have not worked with me at all.
I would advise that no one EVER hire this company. They get 0 stars from me, but one star for being knowledgable, because they certainly know how to work the system to prevent someone from getting their car.
