After the general manager Alex spoke with me he was very helpful and the customer service from him was good he addressed the issues and is making it right I would use this company again because of the great customer service Alex performed on our phone call.
Customer beware! Salesperson Dana Passmore of Ultimate Transport was not upfront and neither is the contract you will be asked to sign. I was told there would be no reservation cancellation fee. I booked May 24, 2023 for a transport of my vehicle the end of July. Called on June 1, 2023 to cancel. Dana told me I would have a credit with their company. A credit? Yes she replies $250. I was not told their would be a cancelation fee, I said. She replied “You didn’t ask. But let me see what I can do for you. Please reply ok to the text I am sending you now so I can cancel your reservation. I will plead your case to my Manager.” I was not sure about this text. She kept repeating reply ok. So I can cancel your reservation. She asked me no less than 4 time to reply ok to a text. Finally I replied ok.
When I got home and checked the contract their was no mention of $250 cancellation fee. But the text did say I agreed to $250 cancellation fee. I doubt a text is a binding contract. So much for an honest company or salesperson. Stay clear of Ultimate Transport.
I was shopping around for quotes to ship my vehicle and I spoke with a man named Jeremy for the possibility of using Ultimate Transport. He was offering $120 more total cost than a different transporter. Rather than negotiating or explaining how their business is better and worth the extra cost, he tried to use scare tactics to gain business. I ended up going with the other company which resulted in him blowing up my phone with aggressive texts, claiming I was being “conned and scammed.” I understand everyone wants to gain business and make a profit, however, there is NO grounds to be so aggressive just because you failed to offer the best price and an informed customer chose a different (better) option. No legitimate or respectable business should have to resort to sending paragraph upon paragraph via text trying to manipulate and scare potential clients into using their service. His emotional volatility as a result of business rejection makes me SO glad I went with a different carrier. I don’t want to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to have someone with such little stability and ability to reason in control of my business and valuables. AVOID THIS BUSINESS.
