Beware! Beware!
On 11-20-17 I contacted this company to transport my car from Mi to Il. I spoke to Geneva and it was very clear that I had to have the car picked up by 12-1 as I was leaving on 12-3. That very day I signed the contract and gave a $150 deposit. The contract did say first day of pickup 12-1.I
thought this was the day they would pickup the car, stupid of me.
When I didn’t hear from them, I called on 1-28 and spoke to GM, Karen Cohen. She told me they were having trouble finding a driver and asked if I would meet them in Traverse City, about 30 miles from my home. I agreed and that was the last I heard from them. I called and emailed with no reply until 12-5 and by then I was out of Mi.
I was too trusting and stupid to catch the 12-1 error? I believe these people are deceitful and deceptive. Be careful of doing business with them.
ZERO STARS. This is the absolute worst company you can go through for relocating. DON’T DO IT. DON’T DO IT. DO. NOT.
I have had several moves, but Xtreme Relocation by far has been the worst, for several reasons including:
1. Lack of communication: Even after booking, I never received e-mail, phone, or text confirmation about next steps. Even after speaking with Karen the GM, nothing would get resolved.
2. Customer (no) service: I’ve sent over 7 e-mails to both Karen the GM and my specific rep (Geneva) and could not get anyone on the phone for over a month. I had to call the 3rd party contractor who held my items for an entire month in order to advocate for my things to ship to me.
3. Pricing: The company misrepresented the pricing of items and did not communicate that with me as their customer. I felt like there were way too many “surprise” fees, and it would have been much more affordable for me to go through another company or for me to find some folks to drive a budget truck 1400 miles as opposed to going through the headache that was this company. My quoted price for everything was $1500, yet I spent more than $4,000 because of Xtreme’s hidden fees and blatant lies about being able to have a payment plan.
