I had originally gone with them but ended up switching to a different company. After I had placed my order they assured me that my car would be picked up within 1-5 weekdays. It has been almost a week now and they still haven't picked up my car. I tried calling them to figure out what was going on but every time I did someone would either pick up and then hang up or I would leave a voice message and no one would call me back. The people that I was able to speak with were pretty nice but I still would not recommend them.

Beware of the scam! This company will take your money upfront, they will not ship your car, and then they will not refund the full amount. Look elsewhere for one of the many companies to not take your money upfront to avoid this scam.

One star is too many. I had the absolute worst experience with this company. I do not recommend using them. They have unreliable customer service. They tell you whatever it takes to get off the phone. I'll neither use them again nor will I recommend them.

We hired this company to ship two of our cars in ENCLOSED carriers. When the cars arrived they were filthy. Covered in grease and mud inside and out. We documented the cars the day they were shipped and they were in perfect condition newly detailed and we documented the cars upon arrival. They refuse to take responsibility and fix the repairs and then just ghosted us. They also siphoned all the gas out of our gas tanks. HORRIFIC experience with this company.
I've shipped quite a few cars...once w/ them in the past and it was flawless. This time however, they flat out stunk! I just got off the phone w/ the 2nd supervisor who hung up on me. I prepaid on the 30th of Nov. to have a classic I purchased Picked up. They showed up, didn't notify and it had to be picked up by 12-24...well, after a bunch of emails, voicemails, and on their website, had to go a different route, HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION! When I did get someone, the charged me $299 (well, they kept it as a credit towards future biz)...a brokerage fee for not performing what they were contracted to do...STAY AWAY! They are not professional at all...no idea what changed, but you've been warned. It appears they have many bad reviews recently...I never thought about it, because I used them previously.

Poor customer service, failure to perform in accordance with a contract they drafted. Seek help elsewhere. I contracted several weeks ago to have my car shipped. I paid up front. They were to pick up 12/20 or 12/21, paid extra to ensure. I called 12/20 after hearing nothing from them since they got my money. They said be on the lookout for a call from 702 area code or email from dispatch. After nothing all day 12/20, and several calls to them on 12/21, I finally get a hold of someone at the close of business on the East coast the last day they were to pick up. No one was coming. They had no one to dispatch out. When were they going to tell me this since I was the one constantly having to contact them for information? Then when I said if they were not going to perform under the contract they drafted and executed, I asked for a refund of my money since they breached the contract. Their receipt for refunding my money was that it was a settlement - but no release or discussion of any settlement was ever discussed.
Horrific experience. They take your money. Then do not communicate with you. Theft say pick up with 4 days. It's been two weeks now. They picked up my car on day 9 not days 1-4. Then the truck broke down & no one informed me. My car is still Waiting on a driver & when I call them they tell lies. Please don't use this broker. You may never see your car again.

They delivered my car within the frame period of 5days. Was happy nothing happened to my car on the way from a long ride.

Absolutely no longer recommend them. This was my second time using them within a year. Things seemed fine until something went wrong. And how a company responds when things go wrong is actually the true test of their how good they really are. With the second delivery, there was damage to my car. They unfortunately were of no help and I just got the runaround. They will just defer you to the carrier and tell you there's nothing they can do. Their $500 promo to cover you if there is damage not covered by the carrier is useless. It's only applicable if you file a claim with your own insurance. Why would you go through your insurance and risk increasing your premiums when the carrier is supposed to have insurance and is responsible for the damage?! Highly disappointed with them and obviously would never use them again or recommend them to anyone else.

I recently had a highly disappointing experience with the American Auto Company that has left me frustrated and dissatisfied with their services. I had ordered two cars, expecting them to be delivered on October 16th, as agreed upon. Unfortunately, the cars were delayed by a whopping four days, causing significant inconvenience and financial strain.
Despite notifying the American Auto Company in advance about the urgent need for the cars, their agent, Rachel, and her supervisor failed to ensure a timely delivery. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, they provided me with vague and unhelpful information, talking me through what seemed like a stream of random excuses and evasive responses.
To add to my frustration, when I requested the email address of the manager to express my concerns directly, I was provided with an incorrect email address. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable, especially when dealing with such a significant and expensive service.
I had expected better service for the hefty fee of $3900 that I paid for the two cars. The service level provided by American Auto Company was downright bad, and the inconvenience caused by the delay resulted in additional expenses. I had to shell out an extra $500 for car rentals due to their failure to meet the agreed-upon delivery date.
In conclusion, my experience with American Auto Company has been nothing short of disappointing. Their inability to deliver on time, coupled with poor communication and misinformation, has tarnished my perception of their professionalism and reliability. I strongly urge future customers to set realistic expectations and reconsider using the services of American Auto Company.

No idea why all those negative reviews.
The folks answered my calls immediately. Answered my texts fast. Stuck to the price and had my oversized truck to me in a total of 4 days..I know that can be a tough business to be in with finding drivers and fuel prices but these guys went above and beyond. 5 stars. Well done.

First, I got a great quote from American Auto Shipping so I move forward with them. The rep who help book this was not so informative in the beginning. Was not clear of the process and steps. I have to ask a lot of questions and the response were not so detail. Once I book with them and provided my first available date, I didn't know that the driver will get dispatch on or after the first available date. It doesn't get dispatch beforehand so be aware of this step. My instruction was to hope they can get someone to pick up the car on Sat 7/22 morning but that didn't happen since driver was not assigned yet. Prior to my first available date on 7/22, I tried calling the rep who helped me but she doesn't return your call or email. So, I had to call the 800 number (again that wasn't provided). I had to reschedule the first available date to 7/27. Right when Monday come around the Driver was assigned and I got the email to inform me the driver is assigned. The driver was great. I was able to call him and got some info. He was prompt to pick up as the date provided and he called a day before to arrange the pickup in the morning. The delivery of the car(Tesla Model3) took 3 days since the car was picked up and it arrive in great condition and no damage. Thank you Driver. At the end, my car arrive early then expected and in great condition. Driver was great and is a separate company from American Auto Shipping. I just hope American Auto Shipper provide a better process and steps in the beginning and what to expect. I would work with them again given now I know the process.

The company is a scammer . I canceled the service in the same time when I made the payment. I did the dispute in my credit card and the credit card accepted. After the dispute American auto shipping threats me and said I am a criminal. I send all information to the police of Nevada and I will hire a lawyer.

Sure ruin your credit and get a criminal record for a few hundred dollars. I guess you're not the sharpest tool in the shed.

I needed a car company to ship my car from Los Angeles to Kirkland WA and initially was bombarded by emails and phone calls from various brokers. I was unfamiliar with the process of shipping a car, and found all the different quotes a bit overwhelming. After speaking with one of the brokers, I realized that there was a lot of guess-work in what the final cost of the shipping would be as they can only give you an estimate and will charge you more later once a carrier has picked up your car. I heard about american auto shipping from a friend of mine who had used this service in the past. Immediately, I was impressed that they gave me an exact quote and I was able to pay for it at that time without any additional hidden fees (and the rate was right on par if not cheaper than many of the other quotes). Overall, the experience was really good. I was able to speak with someone directly every time I had a question and it always felt professional.
The main issue I had was with the pick up experience . It took about 5 days after my desired pick up date (which they warned me might happen as they have a 90% success rate) , but my main issue was that they had told me that they would give me 12-24 hours notice before the carrier would be picking up the car. They called me the day of pick up and said that the car had been dispatched and would be picked up likely the next day, however about 15 minutes after that call the carrier called me and said he was an hour away from my house. This was extremely frustrating because I had to scramble to make sure I was there by pick up time. I hope that with this feedback they can take steps to improve this process, but overall I would recommend the company and would use them again.

After this review posted, I received an automated email that American had cancelled my shipment and refunded my payment at 9pm the night before we left for our interstate move. The fact that they didn't call or reach out whatsoever and instead waited until after business hours to do so was petty and unprofessional, but we were relieved to be done with them.
Fortunately for us, I booked with Montway the same night, was assigned a carrier a few days later, and our car has already been picked up by the driver and will arrive in just a few days to our new home.
Avoid this unprofessional company at all costs.

Communication is nonexistent. I paid for my car to be shipped from Colorado to New York on January 30 and was told it would be picked up February 6. They state they have a 93% success rate to have the car picked up within five days unfortunately, I waited 8 until mine was shipped. The worst part about this company is their communication is nonexistent. I was never filled in that the car was it was not being picked up that day. I would have to call them consistently with only a 10% chance that they'd actually pick up the phone. When you speak to a representative, they extremely Kurt and make it seem like they're doing you a favor. Most shipping companies should only take a deposit, and then you'll pay the driver when the car is delivered. This broker service takes the whole amount upfront. Once my car was finally dispatched they've emailed me the wrong drivers information. I called the driver consistently for 2 1/2 days until he finally picked up and I was informed me he's not my driver and does not have my car. I had to call the dispatch to figure out who my driver was only to find out that he was arriving late. Ultimately my car arrive safe and sound but the process was extremely frustrating. I would not recommend this broker service at all. It's extremely transparent that all of the reviews on their website are most likely fake.
I chose American Auto Shipping based on reviews. Shawna was great setting everything up for me. That's where it ended. I was told someone would always respond with any issues. I was told it wouldn't be an issue picking up the car on a certain date. I was told the carrier would call ahead of time. None of this was true. The carrier came too early and then after many attempts at communication said the truck was in the shop and they could not deliver the car until later. I could not get Amercian Auto to respond to the issues after multiple calls and messages.
If anyone else is currently having this issue go straight to their 24/7 online chat. Andrew, the support agent, was very helpful in pushing this forward and my daughter received her car the next day. The front plate was dented but there wasn't any paperwork to sign. Nothing.
This may have been a one off but for us it was a disaster for the money we paid to transport the car.
is it possible to put negative stars? all time worst service. awful customer service as well. I don't even know where to start. the company gives you a "window" that means absolutely nothing. my car was not picked up and told me actually I should "plan for a back up" while also telling me I have a 90% chance of being picked up within the so called "window." DO NOT DO PRIORITY OR EXPRESS because it means nothing. you're essentially paying more money and nothing happens. just do Ship a Car and call it a day. that company got me a driver that day and shipped my car within 3 days. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER.
We shipped our car across the country "door to door". We were allowed to put boxes in it at no additional charge. The Russian driver called from a half hour away at a Lowes parking lot. He said he couldn't get his truck/trailer down the street (not true) and demanded $100 for hauling the boxes. After a half-hour argument, he gave up the keys without the $100.
American Auto Shipping was completely unsympathetic and said to call their driver.
Beware
Rachel's response is utterly disingenuous.
We were up front when we asked to put the boxes inside the car. They said it was ok as long as it was less than 100 lbs and also said the car could have a full tank of gas.
Big trucks, long trailers, and long moving vans are common at this destination/neighborhood/street. Rachel is not being honest. The reason why your driver unloaded our vehicle more than 20 miles away was to create a desperate and urgent situation for us by making us drive 1/2 hour to pick it up and to gouge us for another $100-demanding it be sent directly into his personal account. This was calculated. We did not give in to your demands, but still had to be inconvenienced. There are several places within a half mile you could have chosen (see google maps).
YOU DID NOT DELIVER THE VEHICLE TO THE DOOR!
YOU DID NOT ATTEMPT TO DELIVER IT TO THE DOOR!
YOU DID NOT HAVE THE DECENCY TO UNLOAD THE VEHICLE AT THE CLOSEST PARKING LOT DOWN THE BLOCK!
YOU HELD OUR VEHICLE IN AN ATTEMPT TO GOUGE US FOR ANOTHER $100!
If you continue to screw the public you will get more of these harsh, but true reviews. Let's see what my credit card company can do about your shady business practices.
Look at all of these 80 foot long and tall semi trailers parked a mere 1/2 mile from my door Rachel! And in this other pic taken today, the U Haul semi-truck/trailer seems fine driving on my wide street with no over hanging trees or lights and no tight turns.
Rachel, Why won't you allow your customers to post reviews on your facebook page? Don't you like free advertising?
I literally just got off the phone with a woman named Robin. My vehicle has yet to be picked up even though I paid for priority shipping. Robin could care less! Kept asking me what do I expect them to do? They don't have trucks... I expect a follow up with the customer when you can't keep up with your priority agreement. I expect someone to let me know that they at least pretend to care and that they are working on it. Why do I have to keep calling American Auto to find out whats going on? I said to her that I keep getting the same response every time I call, her response was, Well... Your gonna keep getting the same answer. Then she says, do you want to keep order or not as if I was wasting her time. Every person there brings up the companys 90% success rate. I pointed out to Robin that its insulting to bring up a success rate, but have no answer as to when my vehicle gets picked up. But again, she could care less. I'm very disappointed with this company. Looks like I will have to get a refund and find another company.
They did what they said they would. And they did it well. This service provider was recommended to us, and they did not disappoint. Only way I would ship any other vehicle. 0 problems and great communication.
This is the worst company to work with. i made a mistake placing a order with them. I initially made a request for my car pickup for June22 but they dispatched for June20(right after placing my order) I called the customer care to fix it, but the manager(Krishawna) was very rude and she was not listening to me at all. She said I owe them 299$ for the cancellation, she agreed that it's there mistake for dispatching early and she was very hesitant to issue a refund.
please don't work with this company, they will rob you for sure. Never ever saw such a rude customer support(Krishawna) who yells at there customers.
I received a couple recommendations to use American Auto Shipping, but it's been an absolute nightmare for me. Besides the recommendations, I was also lured in by their reasonable prices and the promise of a free car wash.
Below is the timeline of events:
Before and around 12/4/2021, I inquired with American Auto Shipping for the service of shipping my family's car across the country. The latest shipping quote I received on 12/4 was for $1669. On 12/6 I tried to accept the quote, but kept getting an error online. I initiated a live chat on the website and Jasmine called me. She took my details over the phone and took my credit card information over the phone for $319. ($1275 due upon delivery).
I informed Jasmine that the car was available starting Monday, 12/6 and must be PICKED UP before Saturday, 12/11 because the family member in possession of the car was moving out of Massachusetts on Sunday, 12/12 (therefore, Sunday was not an available pickup option). She advised that STANDARD service should be sufficient because it had a 93% chance of being picked up within 1-5 days, with Monday, 12/6 being Day 1. Therefore it had a high chance of being picked up by Friday, and if it wasn't, I could cancel the order for a full refund.
After I signed the contract, I sent an email stating that I was anxious to get the car picked up by the end of the week. Aerin gave me a call and reassured me that 93% of the time, my kind of shipment would be picked up within the time period, and if not, I was entitled to a full refund.
On 12/7 I sent another chat to support to indicate my anxiety and stress that the car did not receive any pickup dates yet. Aerin called me again and advised that if they were still unable to secure a shipping company by mid-day on 12/8, I should increase my payment by $200 to increase the chances of getting a pickup within 1-2 days. She reassured me that the vehicle would then have a very good chance of being picked up quickly (93% chance).
On 12/8, American Auto Shipping increased the invoice by $200. I did not sign a new contract nor make any additional payments at this time.
On 12/10, I received an email saying my order was assigned to a carrier and the pickup date would be between Sunday 12/12 and Monday 12/13 (!!!!!). As I had mentioned multiple times to both Jasmine and Aerin, the vehicle had to be picked up by the end of the week, Saturday 12/11, and would NOT be available afterwards. I immediately tried to call the driver and left a message asking if it was possible to pick up on Saturday, but he did not reply. I called driver's company as well and was unable to reach anyone.
I then called American Auto Shipping three times and was passed through a couple representatives before I finally reached Aerin again, who stated that I was not eligible for a refund and she strongly advised finding someone to release the vehicle, leaving it at a dealership, or leaving it in a public place unattended. I attempted to find a friend, but it was too late notice and inconvenient, and I tried to call the car dealership, but was unable to reach anyone to ask if it was ok to leave it. Leaving the vehicle unattended in a public parking lot was not an option for me.
With the help of a friend, I immediately made other arrangements for the vehicle and cancelled the shipment by calling and emailing my cancellation request and reasons to the email listed in the contract for cancellation, which was support@americanautoship…. It bounced back as address not found, so I emailed it to Aerin instead at 2:45 pm. We also spoke on the phone and confirmed the cancellation. She wasn't very nice anymore at this point and said that any chargeback would be hard fought by them because they had already fulfilled their service. Absolute BS.
On 12/11, I received a voicemail from Jasmine saying that the car would be picked up on Tuesday or Wednesday and if I still wanted to cancel it. I had to laugh. If I had stuck with them, Tuesday or Wednesday would now mean that my car would be unattended in a parking lot for 3-4 days. LOL. In order to have further documentation in writing, I sent a chat to their support team, which was marked as read by a human.
TL;DR: The contract states that my vehicle would be PICKED UP in 1-5 weekdays from the first available pickup date, which was 12/6, at the agreed-upon price, or I would be issued a full refund including the down payment. 5 weekdays was 12/10. The vehicle was assigned to a carrier on 12/10 but was not able to be PICKED UP until 12/12, which is 7-8 days after first available pickup day. Then they delayed it until 12/13 or 12/14, which is 9-10 days. Therefore, the vehicle was not picked up within 1-5 weekdays as promised, and according to their contract I am due a full refund.
I'm very busy and I don't leave very many reviews. I'm a Deputy Sheriff and this is my second time using American Auto Shipping. Long story short, I'm Very Happy with their service. My car arrived faster than I expected in good shape. Price was lower than other companies. Truck driver was polite. There were no hidden fees. I highly recommend this company.
I worked with Mike out of Las Vegas. He was very dishonest. He informed me that my car would be delivered 6 days after pickup , which was not true. It was 10 days. Consequently I paid an extra $200 for expedited service. He also indicated that the carrier would take Cashapp or Venmo for payment and they made it clear that they would only accept cash. My company is relocating at least 20 employees and I will share my experience with them and not recommend American Auto Shipping
I'm going to try and write a very long and comprehensive review because shipping a car is a nerve wracking experience and I do not believe there's enough information out there.
Out of all the quotes I received, this company quoted me the least expensive. I have a regular 2008 SUV , nothing too fancy, it doesn't require special handling so went with them as they were the cheapest.
I made a specific email to test if the claims that they sell your information holds true , I filled out their form on the website and immediately received a call from Aerin. We spoke about the details of the transport. Never received another spam email or any other emails besides the necessary ones from Aerin. I believe there's another website with the same name that is selling the information, as long as you follow the link on this yelp page I don't believe you'll have a problem with receiving spam calls and emails.
Once they find you a driver, they charge you 20% of the quoted price and put you in contact with the driver. You will pay the remaining balance when they drop of the vehicle in cash/check.
The driver wanted to pick up the car 3 days before the scheduled pick up date we came to an agreement to pick it up one day earlier than scheduled.
You're allowed to pack your trunk with 100lbs of items, I didn't pack anything too important just clothes, shoes etc. I strapped my pets cage the back seat as it didn't fit in the trunk and they didn't have a problem with that either.
The driver walks around the vehicle with a form marking all dents and scratches on your car and then you sign, you receive a copy of this form.
My car was picked up from NYC, I was under the impression that it would've been put on a tow truck from the beginning but the driver came with I guess another worker and drove my vehicle off, understandable as there is a lot of traffic in NYC.
Aerin called me the day after pick up to see how things went and told me she will call when I receive the vehicle.
During the transport part I received no further updates.
My car was picked up on Sunday. Monday of the following week they had called me to ask if anyone can pick up the vehicle in Los Angeles. I didn't arrive until Wednesday of that week so they arranged to deliver it on Thursday morning to my address between 7-9am.
The driver called me the morning of and arrived within the allotted time frame, this time the car was brought on a tow truck and delivered to my door.
My car had an additional 50 miles and a quarter tank less gas than when I gave it to them. The outside of the car was very dusty, according to them they will reimburse you for a car wash, have not had one done so not sure how true that claims hold.
I noticed that the spare tire cover for my vehicle was missing , I called Aerin to inform her as I had not noticed when the vehicle was dropped off. I couldn't get a hold of her and was told she would call me back, so far no phone calls.
My car did not have any additional scratches or missing items that I've noticed so far.
I called back to see if they could rectify the situation according to them since I had already received the vehicle there's nothing that they can do, I called back the driver and he had a nasty attitude about the situation got defensive from the beginning so I guess I'm left to pay for what they lost.
What otherwise would have been a 5 star experience is now a 2 use at your own judgement.
I added photo proof that my car had the wheel cover when they took it a long with time stamps as additional evidence .
