Andrew Auto Transport
Customer Reviews
Needed to transport my car from NY to FL. my car was picked up on Friday afternoon and delivered Sunday night, a day earlier than anticipated. Very thankful to these guys for helping with a seamless experience.
Horrible experience, they don't value others peoples time or money. Would give 0 stars but can't. Strongly avoid
I will never use these guys again. When I initially was looking Andrew auto gave me the lowest rate for 760 dollars to get my car from Pittsburgh to Phoenix TOTAL. So four months prior to my move I had everything set up and ready to go. Up until my move I had no updates or phone calls. I had a few questions every so often so I would call Erika and she was never in her office. Always took 2-3 days to get back to me. When I called to ask some questions one of them was "The 760.00 is the final price right?? I will not get charged anything more?" She told me it would be nothing more than 50 dollars. SHE LIED. 400 extra dollars being told the day before pickup......
I was also told the pick up would be told 4-5 days in advance by the driver. I didn't hear about a driver until less than 24 hours. I was also told I would be given four hours notice before pickup and I was given a call saying "I'm 10 miles away".
Very unprofessional and my driver when he showed up admitted he likes to drink and party. Openly admitted he lives with his cousins and smokes a lot of marajuana. Very very very upset.
This is probably the worst automobile Trucking Company you could ever choose stay away at all cost they are Crooks they try to bump you stay away at all cost they give you a low low low estimate and then try to pump you up three or four hundred dollars
scam. no replies. only form of communication is email, you may or may not get a response. a total of 3 quotes in 1 month. all for the same amount and with wrong dates.
This location might be closed but the website is still operating. Be warned this company is a scam! They will offer you the lowest price of any competitor to ensure that no one will pick up your car for delivery. I am in the military with an upcoming overseas move. I allowed this company 2 weeks to find someone to ship my car and 4 days before the pick up date they were not able to find anyone to handle my car. I emailed them to request an update but they were very short and quick, not assisting me at all. I decided to be proactive with my upcoming overseas move and work with a more competent company and in turn violated my contract with this company which cost me my $175 dollar deposit. This company is very sneaky. They were very quick to take your money but very slow at meeting your needs. Good luck in your travels. Andrew Auto Transport is a scam.
I paid my deposit and let them know a month ahead of time that we would need to ship our vehicle coast to coast due to military transfer. I gave them a one week window....I was assured all would be fine.... T
Literally the day before it HAD to be picked up by, they told me to be patient and they were STILL trying to find a driver... By the end of day, NOTHING! Will never use them again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.
The Pickup:
Driver (Auto Movers LLC) said to contact him around 10am. Tried to call all morning, no answer and voicemail full. Several hours later he answers and says they will meet for pick up between 4pm-5pm. 5:15pm comes and no call or show from transporter. I call the transporter and he says it will now be 8pm. They showed up a little bit after 8pm. So from 10am-8pm (10 hours) I waited around in town to meet the transporter, as their truck can not make it up to our remote area. The car has some passenger side damage and is fine everywhere else. They attempted to make us sign a form waiving all responsibility for any damage to the car due to it being wrecked on one side. On top of that the language these men were using and the way they treated me as a customer made me feel terribly uncomfortable.
The Drop Off:
Two days prior to drop off on a Friday I receive a call from the transporter stating that they will be there sometime Friday afternoon. I reply "Do you mean next week or today,"he replies"no, friday, in two days." I reply "Sir, today is Friday and Sunday is in two days, do you need a moment to check your calendar?" After that he seemed upset that I called him out for not knowing what day it was. If shipping and logistics is your specialty you should surely know what day it is. He replied that they had been on the road and were tired. Irrelevant, do your job guys. After that then he proceeds to tell me there will be an extra $200 fee for some art work I placed in the car and the roof rack and shell. Upon first attempt to question/dispute this $200 fee with him I was interrupted to be told "how it works in the industry", rude, but I gave him his moment to basically tell me that he is in control and I am not then he hung up on me. After that I attempt to have Andrews Auto Transport help me fix this whole mess and I can't get anyone on the phone who seems to have any control over the situation. So I call the transporter back again to attempt to calmly discuss and dispute this extra $200 that was tacked on two days prior to drop off. I try to explain to him that the paper work I have states that I owe them $800 upon delivery and I will not be extorted for an extra $200 last minute, which I actually didn't even get to finish that sentence. His reply as he cuts me off and yells over me was the most unprofessional ever... and i quote him; "Well good luck getting your car back, f#$khead." Then he hangs up. I am suppose to go pick my car up sometime in the next few hours (again they can't seem to give me a proper time window) however I do not even feel safe or comfortable going to meet these rude and aggressive men that Andrews Auto Transport hired to ship my vehicle.
I needed to ship my car from PA to AZ after accepting a new position in AZ.
After a bombardment of emails and calls from many persistent and annoying companies, I received a simple email from Lisa R stating from Andrew Auto Transport with a quote to move the car.
After responding to her email the entire process was much more transparent and less pushy than any other competitor I talked to (some even badgered me as late as 9:30 PM!).
The information that AAT provided was very transparent and straightforward. It matched up with my research of the topic. Believe it or not other agencies will call you once they see that you've done business with another agency and try to bully you into cancelling, please do not.
I accepted Lisa's offer and paid the administrative fee and within a few days she shot email an offer back from a carrier which met their very high standards that was within a reasonable range of her original estimate.
After a few questions to make sure the company would move my car and some items (less than 100 lbs of non-valuables) I agreed to move it.
The company they found to move my vehicle was awesome! They communicated primarily through text (which was great, because there's no he-said-she-said nonsense to worry about). The dispatch and driver were extremely professional and seemed to care about my car just as much as I did.
The company coordinated with me a mutually agreeable spot and time to pick up my car. When my car arrived in Phoenix the car was pretty much exactly as they loaded it (minus a little bit of dirt that it had picked up throughout it's nationwide travel).
If I ever need to move a car again, I'm going straight to Andrew Auto Transport and hopefully Lisa R. It'll save me a million voicemails/emails/texts that the other companies try to bully you into. I recommend you do the same!
Not legitimate business. Stay away! Lower price is just scam to get deposit. They did not fill my request and want to keep deposit. Very shady!
Scam! I gave these clowns two weeks to find someone to ship my vehicle on a specified date but they kept stalling, despite five email inquiries.
On the day prior to my necessary pick-up date I was forced to cancel and find another company. 30 minutes later they "coincidentally" found someone to ship my auto. That's no coincidence.
Reading other reviews it's apparent they wait until the last minute, then pressure their customers to pay a premium for immediate pick-up.
Finally, they refused to refund my $160, even though I cancelled before they found a carrier. I told them to weigh the cost of a refund against negative online reviews. In their hubris and complete lack of customer service, they refused.
Avoid this company.
@ Brian Andrews.
I am 100% certain my car was shipped with your company. I spoke to you in person on the phone several times regarding my concerns about timely shipping and was reassured that everything would be fine. Obviously, it was not.
For your records, the car was picked up in San Jose, CA on 4/16 and delivered to Burlington, VT on 4/23.
I was nervous about shipping my car across the country from Los Angeles to Miami. I had read all the awful things online about how shady the whole industry is, how they overcharge last minute, how drivers don't show up, etc etc etc..
Then I filled out one of those quote things and had what seemed like 30,000 different companies try to contact me to get my car shipped (we're talking sleazy used car dealer salesman status here). I was inundated with quotes via phone and email all across the board from the low $500s to well over $1000 to ship my Mercedes CLA.
In walks Mimi from Andrew Auto with a breath of fresh air. First of all, she took the time to explain exactly how the industry works- she gave me honest feedback on what to expect, what to look out for and what the reasonable fees should look like. I felt so much more at ease after our first conversation so I decided to book with her. It took 2 days for her to find me the driver (she said they have a really good background check process that makes sure my car doesn't end up in the hands of someone shady). The driver (which was from GMA Transport) like she promised, was totally trustworthy, showed up on time and even delivered my car a day early!
The driver's dispatcher was also awesome- she was in contact with me throughout the whole process, giving me updates if anything needed to change.
Bottom line: this industry seems super duper shady, but Andrew Auto Transport stands out as AWESOME!!
