Customer Reviews
These guys are crooks! They broker out your car,,, collect your money and do not pay the company they brokered your car to!
Don't work with this company stealing money from carriers. He will take your money have the car transported by a carrier and than not pay the carrier.
Do not work with this company. They are dishonest and promise to move your car for one rate and then call you later and ask for more money. The first impression that its professional company but when problems happen they don't answer the phone and put your phone number on their blacklist.
Really snotty people. Very rude and arrogant. I didn't go with the company due to other reviews I saw on the Internet from customers.
As a courtesy I emailed them to inform them that I went with another company so they wouldn't waste their time with future calls and emails.
That's where it went sideways. The rep responded with a couple of nasty emails to me. I can't attest to whether or not they do what they say they will because I didn't hire them.
I can attest that their level of professionalism is awful. I wouldn't want to have to rely on them if I had customer service issues or if my truck was damaged.
I told the dispatch agent, Jason, on FRIDAY I need my scooter sent to me by Monday. He said "no problem from $250 we can get it out today, or tomorrow and in a worst case scenario on Monday." I said great, signed a contract for $250 with delivery latest Monday.
Jason takes his sweet time calling the truck and calls me Monday morning saying were trying to get a truck out but he wants an extra $50 for gas and won't be there till tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. I said NO, we agreed to a Monday delivery for $250. He said well then we cannot go through with it if you don't agree to the up-charge.
He KNEW I needed the scooter by Monday and would be stuck with no choice but to agree to the $50 up-charge after I signed a contract with them. Not only did I get an up-charge but my scooter is going to take an extra day to be delivered- completely going against our signed contract.
I guess this is the trick of the trade with trucking companies, they wait till the last minute and up-charge you last second knowing you are in a bind and have no choice but to agree to the charge.
I don't think I have ever been so degraded in my life.
I'm active duty military and due to circumstances beyond my control, I needed to ship my car last minute. And instead of professional feedback, Mr Haskell out of this company decided to blatantly be rude. I am going to try and add screen shots to the text. The worse business I've ever dealt with.
We were referred to Joseph and called him. After explaining our situation he said he will find someone to ship our motorcycle and call us back SAME day. He knew we had to leave the same day. One day LATER, we are (as we told him) on the road he calls and says, I found someone who can ship your motorcycle in 45 minutes. Are you still there? So we told him that we found someone else since we never received a phone call back from him and had to leave same day. His answer was: " are you kidding me? That's crap!" And hung up the phone! Way to go to speak with a customer, way to go to the phone call that you told us will come same day. Should have worked a little faster Joseph is all I can say.
This is a great company to use for moving your vehicle across countries, cities, and towns. They were very professional, while taking great care for my old school. They were on time in picking up and dropping off my car to the destination. The entire process was effortless and not as time consuming as I thought it would be. I'll definitely use Ace Car Transport again, and also refer to many of my friends in the car industry looking to transport vehicles.
Cobalt operating model is not for everyone. They would quote you a price typically $700 (west coast to midwest). When the times come they would say no-one is ready to pick and jack the price up on the last day. If you get luck you may get a desperate trucker to pick you up.
This model may work for some but in my view is a sleazy way of doing business. You would expect what these company bring to the table is the know how on the pricing and the price they quote is based on their route experience and provide some level of commitment to adhere to.
I will definitely stay way from them.
I had looked on line extensively and mostly saw warnings about all sorts of problems when shipping a car, from the shippers not showing up to showing up very late, adding charges that had to be paid to claim the car, etc. I went with Cobalt Logistics on the recommendation of a friend who had used them twice; they gave me Joseph's contact information and I got in touch with him.
He was very quick to reply to my request, answered all of my many questions by both phone and e-mail, and the bottom line - the care was picked up on schedule and delivered on schedule with no additional fees, no hassles. The price was slightly more than a collection of lower-priced estimates I got, but they all came with scary reviews so I decided to pay a little more for peace of mind. It was well worth it - will definitely use them again if I need to ship another car!
