DONT USE THIS COMPANY!! THEY WILL LOOSE YOUR STUFF!! If I can give this place negative 5 stars I would ! My mother in law moved to Florida from NJ 3 weeks ago and these crooks still didn't deliver her stuff but got the nerve to send her a bill of over 2000 dollars! Best believe they ain't getting a penny and they're gonna hear my mouth when they arrive ! Idc what I have to do to get this company shut down I will! They can't do that to people! That's her stuff !! Her furniture her valuables and these scumbags just keep giving her the run around !

Jayda, what is your guys' quote if I want the delivery guaranteed between June 11-12?

Karasi M. Apr 22, 2013

Do not work with these people.
Do not even respond to their emails.
They bought my information from another company (shame on them) and have been harassing me with phone calls and emails almost every day for 2 weeks.
When I finally responded to an email asking them to stop, they immediately called me and sent me forms of the deceitful nature described in the other reviews below.

Shame on you, Continental Van Lines. You suck.

Never use this company. Sales department are not truthful, operations are incompetent.
Try to have a simple conversation about changes to the inventory is like talking to a child who has absolutely no idea how to communicate with you.
Overall, the worst moving company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
You all have been warned!

I could not believe the horrible customer service I got from this company. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my entire life. Whatever you do DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. EVER.

I read reviews like this and thought "Hey, every mover probably has some bad reviews", but that was a mistake. I was scheduled to have my delivery at the end of the month. Maggie, my customer representative, called me the week before my move and harassed me into changing my dates to an earlier than agreed upon date. I at first said no, and she became horribly rude to me and made me so nervous about the safety of my move that I finally agreed to the switch. However, when I called to ask about which day my move was happening, nobody responded to my calls. They ended up coming on a morning where I was at work, and I had to run home to finish packing.

Continental Van Lines are rude, dishonest, and careless with your move. Please for your own sake and peace of mind, do not hire them!

****UPDATE******

When I threatened to challenge the $500 deposit with Continental Van Lines, they told me that it was a federal offense because they're located in Florida, and that they would sue me. This is not true! I went ahead and challenged the $500 deposit with my credit card company. My credit card company tried to get in contact with Continental Van Lines, and they refused to respond. I ended up getting $250 back from my credit card company. So, a win for me, but I still want to inform people of how terrible they are so that they don't get anymore business.

First of all, I have moved several times across the country and never had this type of experience. Let me sum it up-great customer service until you give them $, after the deposit is in they never return phone calls or even keep you posted on pick up time. I was scheduled for pick up on a certain day-with a 24-48 hour notice, which was fine-closed on my house in line with my pick up of house furniture. Not only did they never call me, but after I called them several times, they showed up two days after my scheduled moving date after my house had closed! Then the same thing happened on the delivery, almost 4 weeks to the day on delivery after they told me 7 days-yes you heard me correct-broken vase, broken flat screen and the list can go on. Now you can imagine how they have handled my customer service since the broken items-will not even respond at all-

Don't use them-stay away, they were the least in-expensive but they broker out and it turns into a mess!!

My husband and I were incredibly disappointed in our experience with his company. Overall, I would say this company does not put the client first and is untrustworthy.

This was our first time ever using a moving company, so any "normal procedures" were unknown to us. Therefore, we accepted whatever was being told to us. To start, they could not commit to a specific moving date from the beginning, which made our timeline for moving across country left at their mercy. After giving us a window of 3 days in which they would arrive, they ended up calling the day before they were to arrive stating they were uncertain when they could be there because the van had "broken down." Do they only have ONE van?? We needed to get to our destination due to new job commitments, so we had to leave all of our belongings behind and put our friend in charge of everything in our absence. What an inconvenience for her because they changed their arrival time twice during their communications with her.

When they finally arrived, we discovered that the movers had stolen 4 of our dvds. Perhaps they thought that we wouldn't notice because we have a substantial collection. However, they made several mistakes.... #1 they taped up the box with tan colored tape, when ALL of our boxes were packed by us in clear tape #2 they put a dvd in the box that we had never owned and #3 my husband keeps an excel spreadsheet listing all of our dvd titles, so he cross-referenced what we received with that list.

This company has relocated their home office to Houston, TX. So Beware!!

The quote i recieved was great. It was a not to exceed price, so i wasnt charged extra at the last minute. The movers were on time and to great care of my items. Everything was padded and shrink wrapped and no damage was done to any of my items or the residence i was leaving.
