They were set to deliver on a Monday from 1-3 PM. I never heard from them, wasting my Monday. They texted me Tuesday to deliver (2 hours notice) with another text asking for a tip. So, 24 hours lat

My car was transported from Coeur d'Alene Idaho, all the way to Florida seamlessly. There was total communication with the driver, the whole way, and all the dates were just as promised. Robert who drove my car was excellent in keeping in touch and giving me updates. I would never use any other company.

Very very disappointed with Diesel Auto Express!! I did a LOT of research when looking for a transport company and I had a couple of recommendations for "car people" on a Facebook group that highly recommended Diesel Auto Express, but I did look at all recommendations and decided on Diesel Auto Express because of the recommendations, their reviews and that they were a local company, not a broker. Come to find out later one of the recommendations was actually a driver for Diesel Auto Express & there is now one in the "office" that is local.



My car that I just imported was picked up in Houston and we were given our truck drivers name and number, and our estimated delivery date was 2/5 (Monday). We had a message from the customs broker in Houston that they had to roll our car onto the hauler because the battery was dead and wouldn't hold a charge. We messaged the driver that we had a battery for the car and could put it in when he arrived. No reply back from the driver. This was on Monday, January 29th. We didn't hear anything from the driver all week, so we texted on Friday to check the status and the driver informed us that the car was being unloaded at the Vancouver terminal. When I questioned the driver about why it was being unloaded in Vancouver and not delivered to us in Beaverton (about 50 mins away). We had a few texts back and forth with the driver and found out that the "office" never relayed to us that our car would be offloaded in Vancouver and put on another truck to bring to us on Monday. On Monday we received an email stating that our car would be delivered on Tuesday between 9am - 1pm and to have payment ready. Contacted the "office" and Amber informed my husband that Monday was just an estimated delivery date and yes when the car arrives on a weekend dispatch doesn't get the information until the next business day and they can't setup a delivery time until then which is the next business day. Fine! 10:30 that night my husband was woken up by his phone ringing and it was a driver in Vancouver trying to load our car asking if there was some trick to starting our car. Umm no the battery is dead, and the other driver knew this, and the car was pushed onto the hauler. Not sure why this driver didn't know this. We didn't hear back from the driver. We waited all day, Tuesday, and by 2:30pm no car, phone call or text!! No, we are mad. So my husband called and got a driver on the phone that said the car would not be delivered until Wednesday now. Not acceptable! I called a couple of numbers and finally got a human on the phone who kept saying the car will be delivered tomorrow. No, we are coming to get our car!! I told the him that we had had enough of the miscommunication, and we were on our way to Vancouver and to have the driver or someone in the "office" there to release our car. I also requested to speak with Amber, but was told she was out, so I asked for a manager to call me. On our way to Vancouver Scott (Manager) called me back and explained that we were very upset with the service that we received, and we would never be using them in the future let alone referring them to anyone we know in the car collector community. He said he was sorry and that the driver would be there after 5pm to release the car to us when he got back from delivering some other cars. We showed up on the lot that these cars are sitting on. Not gate, no security in sight, found our car with keys in the passenger seat and not locked. Yes, we know the battery is dead, but anyone could've hooked up a tow bar like we did and just took the car. The interior was a mess (rear engine) and I can only assume it was because the driver from the night before was looking for the battery!! As we waited for the driver to show up to release the car we hooked our car up to a tow bar and chatted with another driver when he offered to help us. We found out that the "office" people are not even in Vancouver, let alone the country. Which now makes more sense! Especially when we said we were on our way and asked if anyone was in the office. He also told us that the driver from Houston could've offered to deliver our car to us closer to our home (it's up to the driver) and this saves the long-haul driver money because then the long-haul driver doesn't have to pay for that car to be delivered by a local driver. He said its about $250 per car.....Interesting!! We picked up our own car, so we should get a refund since the local driver did not deliver. The local driver did show up after 5 and was not the driver from last night that called us. This driver was a young guy who apologized for not being able to come today and felt bad that he couldn't get our car to us until the next day. We said it was not his fault and thank you for meeting us.



A week later and not a peep from anyone in the office regarding our service which surprises me! Not doing business with again!!

You should not consider this company to transport your vehicle. They are completely unreliable. Our truck sat in our driveway for 6 days awaiting pickup. One excuse after another. If your vehicle delivery is time sensitive do NOT entrust it with them. Their lines of communication are poor and customer service is of no help. Zero transparency regarding when or even if they will meet their deliveries.

Please look over their reviews. They are not BBB accredited and reviews are mediocre at the best.

If you are considering them please do extensive due diligence.

You should not consider this company to transport your vehicle. They are completely unreliable. Our truck sat in our driveway for 6 days awaiting pickup. One excuse after another. If your vehicle delivery is time sensitive do NOT entrust it with them. Their lines of communication are poor and customer service is of no help. My pickup truck left the original dealership in perfect condition. It arrived at my house with a broken speed sensor. A week and $437 later, I was able to pick up my truck from the local dealership. After waiting 2 weeks for a response, I emailed Diesel Auto Express back asking for an update. They sent me a response stating that it was impossible that they could have damaged the speed sensor harness and therefore declined to pay. Seriously? I would have given 5 stars if they had just shown a little integrity. Now, I'm filing a claim with the broker, SGT Auto. We'll see how that goes.

Their business owner Paul contacted me by phone and requested me to remove my negative review and offered $150 gift certificates and a discount for future auto shipment to make up my interior damage. I declined the term and he kept guilt tripping me saying my review hurts his business. After I told him that his term is unacceptable and I wouldn't remove my previous review, he accused me for :" online black mailing" him.

I had no intention or interest in getting paid to remove my honest review.

By the way, there's before and after photos posted here that indicate that this company did damage my interior and would not take responsibility

Did a west coast to east coast transport, overall a very positive experience. The car arrived within the specified time, without damage or incidence and the driver got as close as possible to the drop off address as they could (couldn't drive an 18 wheeler into residential).



The one complaint would be the short two hour notice before pick up. I was given a 3 day window and expected a schedule the day before. However, on the last day of the window, I was called and told the driver would be ready to pick up in two hours. I had to rush home and rearrange my schedule that day, or wait another week. This was extremely annoying but I'm giving 4 stars because the end result was as expected.

They are professional, courteous, and very customer-oriented. Bonus: their rates are very competitive and it should not be hard to decide with whom to do business if you require vehicle shipment. I hired Diesel through a broker to ship a car for me. When the man came to pick up the car I was at work and had my wife handled it. The man literally marked damage that was not there on the inspection sheet (obviously to protect the company incase they damage it during shipment). When I asked them about it they said they would send the pics which they never did. Obviously because it was unsupported.

The car arrived in the state within 4 days, but it took the local delivery team about another week to bring it to my house. When they did, the driver was extremely rude and told me that he would only take cash and if I used a card it would be another 5% surcharge! I couldn't believe it especially because I made the first payment (deposit) with a card. So I had to scramble to get cash for him, and I did thankfully have enough cash to pay, i then ask for a receipt and he takes about 15 minutes trying to get me that, after which he told me his phone was not working and he couldn't give me a receipt. I told him that i was giving him a large amount in cash and needed proof that I paid him. He was unapologetic and very rude the entire time and told me to call the office for it. He added that I was wasting his time and that I would need to pay an additional cost for the time he wasted trying to give me a receipt!

At that point I told him that this was a horrendous experience and that he was unprofessional and I would rather just call the office and deal with it that way and that i'd be filing a complaint.

To add insult to injury the car was filthy. I had it detailed before shipping. I could understand the exterior having dirt from the road travel, but there was no reason the interior should have been muddied and dirty too. He was upset that i was going to complain and had the audacity to tell me that I had no grounds to complain and wanted to argue with me. I had enough, I told him our business transaction was complete, as he received his cash and I had my car and therefore our conversation was over. He reluctantly left and I called the main office and immediately made a complaint. They apologized and sent me a receipt. I would not recommend this company especially with hot headed and unprofessional drivers like him representing their company. I would given them 1 star but I added an extra star for the car arriving and the front office being more

The driver dented the roof of our car by accidentally lowering a ramp on the trailer onto the roof. While the damage was the fault of their driver, they wanted us to get three estimates and won't pay for a car rental. Our insurance company doesn't require us to get three estimates even when an accident is our fault AND pays for a rental car while the car is in the shop. I gave Diesel Auto Express an opportunity to do it the right way and deal directly with me rather than through my insurance company. Now they'll end up paying more when my insurance company takes over and eventually settles with them for the cost. What could have an an easy resolution, is now going to be a much bigger deal and they've lost a potentially satisfied customer. Arrogant and short sighted on Diesel Auto Express' part. Won't use them again nor will I recommend them! If I could give them no stars, I would.

I would never use this company. They delivered my car two days late and failed to take any accountability. They ended up having to hire a sub-contractor because of a over supply of vehicles who delivered the car extremely late on a Saturday (an issue they should have forseen).

The sub-contractor they hired took an hour to unload the car and pulled into my neighbors driveway labelled KEEP OUT.

Diesel Auto Express never communicated with me about the status of my car and where it was. On the day the car was delivered, they changed the delivery time 4 times. Originally, it was from 9am - 12am, and the car was unloaded by 7:00pm.

Additionally, they refused to take any accountability for the delays and not having a driver available. They refused to take any accountability for the lack of communication and their sub-contractors delivery behavior.

I have never had a worse customer service experience. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Do not allow Diesel Auto Express to transport your vehicle. I contracted with Amerifreight, who subcontracted to Diesel Auto Express. I turned over a clean vehicle with no scratches or damage of any sort. Upon receiving my vehicle, while it was still sitting on the transporter I saw damage, took pictures, the driver took pictures and noted the damage on the paperwork. Amerifreight denied the claim, the addl coverage I purchased was denied. Diesel Auto Express , who documented the damage while in their possession has now denied the claim. Take your transporter needs to another carrier, Diesel Auto Express has no integrity and does not stand behind their service.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO TRANSPORT YOUR VEHICLE!!! I hired them to transport my new Mercedes GL 450 from California to Washington state. The car was loaded onto the transport in perfect condition, arrived in Washington five days later UN-DRIVABLE. The rear air suspension was completely shot. The repair shop said the vehicle had been improperly transported, allowing gravel and loose rocks to churn up into the rear air suspension system and penetrate it with hundreds of tiny holes. $2000 in repairs that they refuse to pay for.

Note: multiple emails were sent with detailed timestamp information and before/after photographic evidence of the vehicle went completely ignored. Phone calls to the main office went unreturned. Their insurance deductible is too high to cover the cost. My husband PAID THEM A VISIT on a business trip to Vancouver Wa, and spoke with the owner IN PERSON. He agreed to review the information and get back to us, basically sent a follow up email telling us to pound sand.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

The handling of my vehicle was seamless. my only issue was my car sat in Vancouver Washington for 7 days before it left for its destination. At the end, I would recommend using this service.

My car was picked up and delivered on time, so credit to them for that.

Unfortunately during transport, one of my inner fender liners cracked, probably from one of the straps. It's a piece of plastic to keep dirt out from the wheel well, maybe $50 + labor to replace.

DAE's claims process is a joke. They will never take responsibility for anything. I sent them a photo of the liner the morning of pickup, and after delivery; proof from the pickup driver that there was not pre-existing damage; and a photo the delivery driver took, in which I am showing the damage -- and they said it's not enough proof.

Plus, they reminded me, they don't cover "mechanical damage," which is so broad they could use it as a defense for anything.

I could get my insurance company to go after them but I'd have to file a claim, and the repair probably wouldn't even meet my deductible.

So Diesel Auto Express will get away with being shits about not owning up to the damage they caused. At least it wasn't catastrophic damage this time, but let it be a warning that even if you had a video of their driver smashing your hood with a sledgehammer, they'd claim it wasn't their fault.

The delivery was easy and seamless... and my car arrived in the same pristine condition as when it left Seattle.

I shipped my car across the country using Diesel Auto Express, I was referred to this company by AmeriFreight who said they had a perfect rating for trouble-free auto shipping. They ship cars coast to coast in bulk, so their rates are reasonable. I bought insurance through the AFTA plan to cover the car. Diesel Auto Express was prompt with pickup and delivery, however, I had requested more notice regarding the time of delivery given my work schedule and was unpleasantly surprised that I only got 1 hr notice of delivery. A crack appeared in the dashboard during shipment, and the company did not take responsibility for the damage to my car.

I went through the proper channels to submit the claim through AFTA which was denied, this insurance coverage is extremely limited -- be sure the read the fine print to see if any AFTA plan is worth it for you before using them. I then contacted Diesel Auto Express, who has a claims department. This was a big mistake, the Diesel Auto Express claims department seems to be more focused on risk management for the company than actually addressing consumer complaints. I also contacted the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, who can hopefully at least document the damage that Diesel Auto Express caused to my vehicle.

For most, it is probably only worth the cost to ship cars that are in good condition, historic, or have sentimental value of some sort. Though my car arrived in a reasonable time, and in working condition, I can't recommend Diesel Auto Express if you're shipping your car because of the damage to the interior that I was not expecting from an auto shipping company.

Do NOT trust them with your car! Diesel Auto Express (AKA Diesel Dispatch) damaged my 7-series and never took responsibility or paid for the repairs. Their wheel straps crushed the front fender liners and bent the mounting brackets, cost hundreds to repair. I sent messages, photos, and estimates to their customer service department but all they said was "we will get back to you" and ignored me. Totally unprofessional, recommend you go with Fox Transport or use RunBuggy to find a hauler that will take responsibility for their mistakes.

I used this service to ship my new car from the east to the west coast. Everything went well until I picked up my car from their lot in Washington during a heavy down pour of rain and it looked like they had left the driver door or window down for a long time after off-loading because the interior was all soaking wet and I thought the electronics on the door were going to be ruined. I tried to give it a good look over before signing off, but as soon as I got home and it had stopped raining I saw a major indented scratch on my hood.

I immediately called the driver about the damage and he said he probably "hit a tree" and to have him take a look at it and try to "buff it out". My car was the first one loaded on the truck, on the top, facing backwards so I don't think it is possible to run it into a tree and have no damage on the back or roof, but such a deep scratch on the hood. It clearly looks like a metal strap or chain fell onto the hood and scraped the paint off.

I got a bid from my auto body shop to fix the dents and paint and it was $1500. I told the driver this and he said that was bs and he would try to fix it for me with wax. I told him I'd rather have a professional fix the dent and paint so I just wanted some compensation. He asked to keep this between us and said he would meet me with compensation, then completely blew me off and I never heard from him again.

I am extremely disappointed with this service and stuck with damage that costs more to fix than what I paid to ship my car. I have the vehicle inspection reports from the deal to show that the damage was not there when I dropped my car off. Needless to say, would not recommend.

A NIGHTMARE - DO NOT USE. Car arrived 5 days late. In those 5 days no response from office after leaving voicemails and emails. Car was returned DAMAGED with a large scratch across the back bumper and Paul, the owner, refused to file the insurance claim for repairs even though there was clear photographic evidence that the car wasn't damaged when they picked it up. The cherry on top was they tried to shake me down for an extra $150 even though it was not in our written contract. Paul then threatened to contact motor vehicle to "put a lean on my car," whatever that means. Because I refused to pay the delivery driver this extra cash he sat idling in his large car hauler for 3 hours in front of my house as some attempt at intimidation. Ended up calling the cops who told him to move along. So yea, probably want to look somewhere else for your car shipping needs.
