Door to Door Transport

Easy to work with and the car was picked up and delivered as we were told. No complaints here!

I started out with a different transport company recommended by the auto dealer, but a truck had maintenance issues, and they strung me out for a week with no plan. I finally gave up and called Door to Door Transport. They quoted me a fair price that never changed. Their truck arrived on the day they promised, and the car was delivered at least a day if not two days earlier than I expected. I found them online at noon on a Monday and they moved a car from Louisiana to Aspen Colorado by Thursday. I will definitely use them next time.

do not use this company, the driver that delivered my vehicle as he's getting this brand new vehicle off he's trailer he backs up right into another vehicle that he had just moved.
then the driver was trying to tell me that it was all the bumps in the r that did that, even though I just saw it happen. very unprofessional. If I could I would give the driver/ company a negative 5 star

Roy was amazing throughout the process. This is the second time we used him to transport a vehicle from Florida to Hawaii. He was always quick to respond to our questions. The only area to improve upon with the process is the Matson vehicle tracker (which is not under Door to Door's control)
Thanks again!

I am not one to curse but working with Roy had me dropping F bombs.
Failed to provide any updates-I had to hound Roy constantly to have any clue of where my car was. Arrived over 24 hrs after Roy assured me it would and at 10PM. When I expressed my concerns with updates to Roy he took no responsibility whatsoever.
The process was messy and made moving across the country significantly more stressfully. In no way shape or form could I recommend this business to anyone.

I was working with another company that initially quoted me a lot lower weeks prior. Then we get to 4 days prior and they come back with a quote $500 higher so I started shopping elsewhere. I found Door to door and Kelly reached out. All I wanted was a guaranteed price and in return I got a rude and unprofessional response. I realize you're all brokers but this nonsense with quoting people a specific price and not being able to deliver is a joke. It shouldn't be this hard to get a real price or the bare minimum of someone who actually gives AF. Do better.

First for those uninitiated here's what I learned (first time also) the hard way... this company finds a second (unknown) company to actually ship then passes you off like a hot potato... Will the second company communicate? Be even close to the expected delivery? Give a crap when there's a problem? GLWT.
Our 2 year-old luxury car arrived (late), but directly above it on the transporter was a badly damaged crashed vehicle, which leaked fluid - oil or brake fluid all over the roof and streaking down all sides of the paint of our "new car". I mentioned it to the driver and he couldn't care less, mockingly said it was good for our car and that we needed to just get over it. "That's what you should expect to happen when you don't order enclosed transport". My rookie mistake? Guess you have to pay extra if you want good service... or a driver who thinks hmm, maybe I should put the leaking car on the bottom instead. Who knows how many days/hundreds of miles this had been going on.
Also when you sign a blank screen on his phone, you won't know at the time but you are signing a hidden to you - report of acceptance in good condition. I honestly hope your experience is better than ours

TLDR: A complete nightmare, I should have looked at all the 1-star reviews and taken my business elsewhere.
I moved from California to New England and requested a quote from this company to ship my car because it was recommended to me. Because it was a recommendation, I did not even think to look at the Yelp reviews - big mistake.
The price was lower than other companies I had requested quotes from, but the communication was terrible. After confirming a time window to pick up the car, I never heard from the company until I reached out on the first day of the pick-up window requesting additional information. The person who picked up the phone could work on his client service skills - he was a bit rude at first. Our assigned person kept saying "how difficult" it was for them to find a driver that would go to my location. Well, that's why I requested this quote a month in advance, precisely to prevent last-minute issues.
Once pick-up was confirmed, I thought I was on the clear. However, the driver was the most disrespectful, unprofessional, and downright detestable person I have had to deal with in a service role. He promised a 11am-12pm pick-up and when I called at around 1:30pm, he had not left for my location and said he had said something different. When he was told I had a hard deadline for leaving for the airport, the driver asked to just leave the car unlocked and leave the keys inside - I understand some people may be okay with this, but that's not me. During pick-up and upon inspection of the car, he offered his phone for me to sign without showing me the report - I had to ask him to show me what I was attesting to. He also said we had to pay in cash, which the broker had never mentioned. The company said that drivers were supposed to accept zelle or venmo, but clearly there is a disconnect. After promising a delivery window of 6-8am, the driver did not show up until much later. He said he had a flat tire, but the company said he was late because he had "a lot of deliveries" in the area when I called 5 min later - someone was lying...
Upon delivery, the driver called to let me know that the street is too narrow (which was the case) and the neighboring streets are too (they are not, there is a wide avenue two blocks away) so he would have to drop off the car under the freeway. When I protested, he said "this is not a pizza delivery" and said that either I picked it up there or the car would just be left in that location. Please warn your drivers that the company is called "Door to Door," because they clearly have no sense of what this means. For more accuracy, please change your name to "We will make you never want to move again."
Overall, this service is dishonest, disorganized, and disrespectful. I will never hire them again.

Damaged my ferrari, pretended they were filing the insurance claim, made excuses for 30 days now. I'm finally done with the runaround. Got my attorney involved and I'm disgusted with the waste of time they put me through. I could have had the car fixed weeks ago
My car was damaged during transport between Corpus Christi, TX and Gonzales, LA and they refused to let me file an insurance claim. They claimed my step daughter signed the release for the vehicle and did not point out any damage to the driver. We took photos before the vehicle was loaded and within 2 hours after it was delivered to highlight the scrapes, scratches, and dents. I told the driver up front he was to contact my step daughter before he delivered the car so that she could have her husband there to help inspect my car. The driver just showed up with the car and was very intimidating. When I contacted the transporter about getting the insurance form they basically said I was lying about the damage and that it pre-existing. Despite sending them a dozen time-stamped photos of my car's condition before and after transport they still refused to accept any responsibility for the damage. I'm not used to dealing with such an unprofessional company but I can assure you I will never recommend this company...beware.
Big Lier. This service is SCAM, I moved car for them, now it over two month and dint get payed, every time I called for payment they promising they will and never did, big Liers
This company had 2 months to arrange transport of my vehicle. I texted checking in a few times and was assured there would be no problems. A week before i was leaving town I texted to check in and was promised that the vehicle would be picked up within the next 4 days. On the 4th day, i texted again to check in and was ghosted. Car was not picked up, i had to leave it with friends for a different company to pick up. Check the Facebook reviews, all are very similar and equally disappointing.
TL;DR I never talked to anyone from this company directly and was scheduled for a pickup. Then I was blamed for the misunderstanding.
A few days ago I went online to get a couple quotes to have my car transported. After reaching out to a few companies I went with a different brooker and set up my delivery. During this time I was getting multiple texts from the brooker I used, and the pickup company. Door to Door texted this message at the same exact time that I was speaking to other two parties I had scheduled with.
Richard, are you trying to set up the transport? The pick up address is blank. You can text it here or call me anytime with your Order ID # below. I will run the next truck by you before anything happens.
So I thought it was one of the drivers, so I sent them a text with the address the car was being picked up at.
Then today I got call from a pickup company and they scheduled for tomorrow which I thought was weird because my car was being picked up today. I then got this message from Door to door.
Richard, the driver you spoke to is the driver I sent. Unless you call me back, the car will NOT get picked up by my driver. You have the transport set up with multiple brokers and the drivers can see what's going. on. Ill wait 10 minutes and the car will be taken off the truck and not get picked up.
At this point I start to freak out because I have no idea what's going on. I call my brooker and confirmed that my car was picked up today. I then realize that Door to Door is a different Brooker company and for some reason scheduled a pick up without ever talking to me or discussing a price.
When I reached out to Door to Door I got the following texts.
Your off the truck. Good luck and be safe. Your load is posted with DOT with NO driver assigned and its $150 higher than were I already had you on the truck for.

Again i never spoke to this person on the phone, we never discussed a price and here I am dealing with all this drama. All I ever did was send him an address thinking it was my driver.
So based on this experience I wouldn't personally deal with this company. They seem to have some questionable stuff going on. I don't know who schedules a $1000 order without talking to the customer. Very Strange.
I will admit that I am partially at fault because I should have been aware who I was talking to. However I didn't question it because as stated previously I had already arranged pick up with a different company. I never imagined that people I never spoke to would book me for a delivery.
Hired this company to assign me a driver for my upcoming move from NJ to TN. Upon seeing their abundance of negative reviews I was a little nervous and apprehensive of the process and results but I can easily say I am extremely satisfied. Mikela went above and beyond for me and was a pleasure to work with. The company they dispatched to me was called Jamhuri Auto LLC. The driver was on time, as well as very nice and accommodating. He set me at ease with any questions I had and was helpful with any requests I had. My car was promptly delivered to my new home only 2.5 days later which was perfect! I highly recommend giving this transport company a chance as not all of their reviews are bad and they were definitely one of the more affordable auto transport companies out there.
As the broker who hired these people to transport my car, you need to know about my experience with them.
They were supposed to pick up the car on Saturday 11/2. I had not heard from them by noon so I called to see what time they were coming. Lou told me his phone broke (even though I was speaking to him on said phone) and he needed to get a new phone. So he said he would arrive around 5. By 6 I called and he was still an hour outside of Bangor and he gave me the choice of meeting him at a rest area at 8 or 9 pm or picking up the car in the morning. I chose to have him pick up the car at 9 in the morning rather than wait alone in the dark at a deserted rest area.
By 10 am on Sunday I had not heard from him so I called to see what was going on. This time they had a flat tire so I had to drive the car on a 3 hour round trip to meet them in Hermon ME. He took the keys and told me he would be in touch.
We arrived in Florida on Wednesday.i called him on Thursday to find out when he was delivering the car. He said they were leaving W Palm Beach at 8 and so they would arrive in the afternoon. We waited all afternoon. I tried calling him but there was no answer and his voice mail had not been set up so I could not leave a message. Finally he called around 6 to say they were stuck in traffic on I75 outside of Tampa. My friend, who is a native Floridian advised that they may not get to Seminole for a couple of hours. Since he refused to deliver the car to the house for a variety of reasons--trees on the street, neighbors might not like it, school nearby--we were faced with meeting him in the dark in a parking lot somewhere-this time with $1150!! I told him he would have to deliver it in the morning since it was too late.
He then went into a tirade about how he has a schedule to keep (seriously?) and what did I expect since he had to go from W Palm to the Villages to Seminole and I can't just pick when the car is delivered. He then told me he would have to drive 50 miles out of his way to stay somewhere because there is no place for a truck to stop between Tampa and Seminole. So he had no idea when he could bring the car. I explained to him that my friend had a medical appointment at 9:30 so it would have to be before 9 or after 11. He told me he has to be careful never to deal with customers like me in the future and was insulted that I wanted to look over the car in daylight. My friend wondered why he went to the Villages before Seminole because that involved backtracking two hours according to my friend who has lived here her whole life. He then told me I refused to sign a paper when I dropped off the car and I reminded him that he never asked me to sign anything! He told me that we were in too much of a rush and my friend gave him a dirty look (?) so he didn't ask--seriously? If that was his JOB to have me sign a paper he should have done his job and offered it to me to sign!
We suggested he could meet us at a Winn-Dixie just 6 blocks away but he chose a different shopping center and called at 8 on Friday morning to say the car was off the truck and they were waiting at this other shopping center. The good news is the car is fine and he remembered to have me sign the paperwork.
We have bent over backwards to accommodate their constant tragedies and changes in schedule, and had to drive 100 miles out of our way to deliver the car to them. I have always had to call them because they would never call me. Finally on Thursday, as we sat around waiting I decided I was not going to call them. It was up to them to let me know when they were coming and I'm sorry-8 or 9 pm is not "afternoon" On top of all of that, At the last minute I had to pay more than the quoted price! At that point I had no choice because it was too late to find someone else. It was anything BUT "Door to Door". It was more like 3 hours away from my door after lots of whining.
This was a complete clusterf**k and I would run the other way if ever faced with using these clowns again.
Loretta you were totally professional but if I were you I would think twice about using DFT Transport again, who, by the way told me not to use YOU again because it would be cheaper to call them direct
Perfect from scheduling to delivery!
The vehicle was picked up promptly and delivered two days early!
Awesome communications. Courteous driver!
Recommend and will use again.
I loved the chat with Laura and tried to reach her again but was told her had doctors apts and was never gotten back to. I would have loved to book with them but either the cousin never passed my messages along or they didn't want the business. Not sure what happened but I would have liked to have my initial experience be the same. Had to go with another carrier last minute when I did not hear back and have not hear back for 3 days.
I am looking transport company, who can move my car from CA to NJ.
I heard lots of bad reviews for Door to Door only 2 or 3 good reviews. Can some suggest me if i can use this company.
Great front-end experience that include an unexpected reduction in the original quote. However, the driver assigned to my transport, Vlad, should never be allowed to engage customers. When I pointed out what appeared to be a small dent on my car that had not been there on pick (nor was noted on his paper work), he became irate, instead simply informing me to make note of it on the paperwork. A simple matter ending up escalating into a full-blown argument in front of my place of employment. Again, Vlad should never be allowed to work with the public. In addition, I was a little disappointed in Door to Door's response when I reported the matter. While it's impossible to control the actions of employees every step of the way, ultimately, the company needs to take full responsibility. An apology was warranted. But none was offered.
In short, if not for the horrible behavior of the driver and the lack of a real apology from the company, I would rate this experience a 5. But customer service matters. And in that respect, this experience was a complete fail on delivery. Word of advice: Train or fire Vlad, immediately!
