Customer Reviews
After booking through a vehicle shipping service and seeing the less than great reviews I was a little nervous. That being said, I spoke to 2 of the owners on 2 separate occasions (brothers as it's a family owned business) and they were very helpful, informative, and kind.
My motorcycle made it safe and sound very quick, no issues with the quote or driver as others have experienced years ago.
I will absolutely work with these guys in the future if I need to ship a vehicle.
Disgusting people. Can't imagine giving these type of people any sort of business. This is there true character.
I received a quote via email and completed the paperwork provided. The contract started I would receive a call or email a day before the pick up to confirm times. No call! I call them and get a guy who proceeds to take my info as of I did not have an existing quote. I tell him I should already be in the system and then SILENCE. I hang up and then receive a text stating, "Our server was down due to a windstorm, I have more located more quote. You didn't have to hang up". I reply and ask the next steps. Was told dispatch is, "working on it." Next day I text for an update...NO RESPONSE. I call, two rings them VM. I get a text saying, "please text." I reply, "I did." His response was "dispatch is working on it." TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Zero stars.
I would give zero stars if i could. The worst service i have ever experienced and then blew me off and would not take my phone call, just text. Robert Anderson was so unproffesional it made me sick. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. If you would like my text conversation with them please just ask, it is absolutely terrible. I used a different service as i had to panic the day of pick up and find someone else. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR VEHICLE. PAY MORE TO USE SOMEONE ELSE!
I likewise cannot give ZERO or would - do not use this carrier. I was accused of reversing my payment which I did on payment when driver gave me wrong amount - then within minutes I paid new amount. I received emails and voicemail threatening legal action and asking me if this is how I do business. I have never been so insulted when Robbie at Trusty Transport had his facts wrong. He left nasty voicemails to me and I my wife. This is a very unprofessional firm - DO NOT USE THEM. They did not deliver to my address, made me wait at Walmart for 1 hour and 10 minutes and then wanted me to Uber across town to another Walmart. Awful, awful experience. Car was filthy upon delivery even though I paid for under cover service - a complete joke of an experience.
Trusty is NOT TRUSTWORTHY at all -!!!! Simply put it- Robbie Anderson smoothed talked me into doing it BUT DID NOT DELIVER -!!! I had to get another transport business a week later -!
DO NOT WORK WITH TRUSTY TRANSPORT
they quoted me a price i accepted it, after that they would not answer emails or phone calls? very bad business people, the son is running the business, with his head up his ass while the father is on the road. His PAROLE OFFICER CAME UP WITH THE COMPANY NAME TRUSTY HE MEANT TRUSTEE?
I have contacted Robert Anderson (Father and Son owners of Trusty Transport for 22 years) to ship classic cars in enclosed carriers from East coast to West coast, I was quoted in writing $1,099 per vehicle in open carrier and $1,499 in enclosed carrier. When I tried to schedule and get more details on the shipment it miraculously became $1,795 per vehicle (extra 20%) and when asked nicely about the discrepancy Robert became beligerant, rude and vulgar (see attached copy of the correspondence).
This behavior is absolutely unexcusable toward a new customer trying to ship 2 vehicles cross country, I may be better off working with a broker who will handle those type of characters or select true professionals.
BEWARE
THIEVES - STAY AWAY
We cancelled our order with these people & they swooped in and STOLE OUR CAR! We did get our vehicle back but only because we called the Police and reported the theft.
They deserve 0 starts. We scheduled our car to get picked up two weeks prior. Spoke to the owner of the company to confirm our reservation. We had everything ready for the day of pick up but this company never followed through with their word. They never showed up to pick up the car, never answered our phone calls nor emails. If you're looking for a reliable company this is not it. We had to hire another company to get our car delivered to our new home.
If i could give less then a star i would. They took my order, I have given plenty of time for collection(more then 7-10 day) and the answer was always different.
They had 3 drivers and then now and then they can not find a driver...etc
They communicate by text only..but finally one time i got him on the phone.,Rob was very unprofessional raising the tone in our discussion.
I read the multiple negative reviews first but i said that cant be that bad being attracted by the low price vs market. And yet 2 weeks later i am writing a similar review.
Their competitive price is not real and they will not honor the order...and will drag it forever.
Stay away as much as possible.
DO NOT trust them!!!! Robbie is super rude! I cant even type the horrifying customer SERVICE he has provided! do not trust them!!!!!!
Do NOT ship with Trusty Transport. It took 21 days to get my vehicle, when I was told it'd arrive between 7 - 10 days. They are unprofressional, answer phone calls initially only to secure your business and rarely provide an update or any remorse when they are late. You have to constantly, call/text to find out where they are and it completely is not the way to go. I would never do business with them again, and am also contacting the BBB.
They don't return phone calls, hold your car and any plans you may have had. Very deceptive because they're nice in the beginning to get your business and then serve you bull along the way. I'm surprised they're still in business.
Don't trust Robbie, it's never on time. There is nothing Trusty about Trusty Transport.
If I could give less than a star I would. We attempted to have our vehicle shipped by this company only to be left in a bind at the last minute.
My husband and I are both active duty and needed to have one of our vehicles shipped for a permanent change of station. We decided to go with Trusty Transport due to their claim of being military friendly and having years of experience.
After receiving their quote, I inquired about the military discount they claim they offer via email. Their response - "Not out of Wyoming. We are low on this to begin with." Not Sir or Ma'am, or Thanks for your understanding please contact us if you have further questions, just two sentences. That should have been our first red flag.
Despite their false ad about a military discount and unprofessional communication, we made an appointment for them to pick up our vehicle for shipment; three weeks in advance of when we were supposed to leave the state. The day before they were supposed to pick up our vehicle we hadn't heard from them. We called to find out what time they were coming only to find out they weren't. Robert told us that "his dad was down at the desk bitching about it this morning because they didn't have a driver scheduled" and that "nobody wants to drive to Wyoming in the winter during the holidays." Rather than call us in advance and let us know there might be issues they did NOTHING. Who knows if they would have called at all.
Unacceptable! We asked what they were going to do to fix it and were told they'd call us back. We ended up having to leave our vehicle behind with a relative because of their incompetence. We finally got a call back though - TWO WEEKS LATER! Military moves are hard enough; unless you want added stress DO NOT go with this company!
I booked Trusty Transport to ship my husband's car during a military move from Texas to California. Once I signed with them, they would only communicate through text and were very short. For example, I would call them and they would not answer but would send a text saying "just text." They also would not reply to my e-mails.
In some miscommunication with my husband, I thought we no longer needed transport, so I cancelled our order with Trusty Transport. I was ok with this because their communication was weird, but I hadn't had any problems with them up to that point. According to their contract (point 14), a customer can cancel the order before a driver or transporter had been assigned, which I did. I emailed, left a voicemail, and texted that I was canceling the order, but they never responded to me (the first bad sign).
Turns out, we did need to ship the car, but because I never heard from them again I went with another (and more expensive) company. They were unable to ship my car because Trusty Transport did not take it down from the national dispatch board they all share. When I reached out to ask them to take it down, they responded with a rude reply and said they would take it down but they never did. When they didn't I asked them to again, and said if they didn't I would have to take further action, to which they responded "Do not threaten me young lady." I have never heard from them again and they have not taken my car down from the dispatch board.
The other company I hired was able to get it taken off the dispatch board, but then Trusty Transport put it back up at a higher price, again blocking my car from getting shipped.
Because they refuse to take it down, they are blocking the other company from getting a driver, and it has been over 3 weeks since I needed my car shipped. Now my husband is at work with my car, leaving me at home with our 9 month old all day. This means that I have had to cancel check ups at the doctor, can't finish things for our move, have missed out on important meetings on post, cannot take my daughter to the park to play or for a walk, and cannot get her anywhere if an emergency happens (we live in a secluded area).
Trusty Transport says they are military friendly, but they are NOT. They are angry I hired someone else, and they are blocking me from getting my car. They are horrible with communication, extremely rude, petty, and do NOT care about the customer. They have not worked with me at all.
I would advise that no one EVER hire this company. They get 0 stars from me, but one star for being knowledgable, because they certainly know how to work the system to prevent someone from getting their car.
Read this review, choose someone else. They may be cheap but you get (even less than) what you pay for.
1. My car ship date was set to 12/19/16
2. My car was not picked up until 1/6/17
3. In between this time, Robbie would not answer his cell phone, and only respond to texts... occasionally (once a day).
4. In desperation I offered to pay up to $200 more. Suddenly my car was being picked up. Robbie never confirmed that I would have to pay $200 more, nor that he would offer it to a driver, I simply offered. I never received an updated quote or invoice, or a text or verbal confirmation of any kind.
5. Upon delivery I was told the price went up $200 and was forced to pay to get my car back. Bait and switch.
6. I asked for a partial refund for all of this inconvenience, terrible customer service and miscommunication.
7. Nobody responded.
Take your business elsewhere.
