I am in the medical field and have shipped several times with eship. Mike Dietz was the broker and his coordination communication and customer service were excellent. I reached out to eship this time and got a response from a Mark Anthony. My experience this time was very different. 1,295 from FL to CO. My car was picked up on 05/30 and was to be delivered on 06/05. All of the previous deliveries from this company have been early or at the very least on time. Being in the medical field I was told that I was needed to work on 06/05. I called Mark Anthony and was told that I had to accept delivery that day. In previous deliveries I was told that if I wasn't able to accept delivery, they had a storage facility that they could take to for a few days and we could coordinate a better time. After our not-so-great conversation about " you have to accept delivery and "you knew when it would be". Mark Anthony then calls me and advises me that the truck carrying my car has broken down in TN and they don't have an ETA for delivery. On 06/05 I get a message from Ruse Auto trans. that the truck is in the shop and will deliver later in the week. (I am not available 24/7 just to accept a car delivery). On 06/07 they send me a text saying it will be delivered Friday morning. I worked overnight Thursday and stayed awake until noon on Friday and no call about my car location. I woke up at 3:15 to a barrage of threating calls and texts regarding my car being taken to impound and I was going to have to pay an extra $100 because the driver unloaded my car at the original location and will have to reload it onto the truck (this in not true they do not unload until they see you). I told the transport company I could get there in 1.5 hours and they said that I had 30 min, or my car would be taken to an undisclosed location for me to find and pay to get back. Mike then said I had disappeared and was not available. This was not true I have to work and sleep sometime. I did not get a call from anyone until after 12 pm. that is not morning. Mike and I discussed a rental car payment from eship to me to pay for the extra rental days. Mike said I had to pay the entire bill upfront and he would reimburse me with my card on file. Needless to say, that never happened and as I called it in our text messages it never will. I reached out yesterday, and he said the refund request was denied (SUPRISE)

I was very worried about shipping my car for a far distance, but people recommended eShip to me. The company is super responsive and assigned me to a very responsive dispatcher and carrier. From the time I called them to had my car shipped, was maybe 2 weeks or less. No issues along the way other than my car getting really dirty from going through a desert during a storm. It was just a car wash to clean it up a bit but other than that there were no big issues.
I have never had a worse customer service experience in my entire life. I hired eShip to coordinate the transport of my daughters car to college. They booked a pickup and delivery time (Pickup LA Monday, delivery Baton Rouge Saturday) with a pickup window between 9-12 and 1-6. They called on Monday at 1pm and said the driver had car problems and they needed to find a new driver which would now be more money. I declined. They came back with the original rate for another driver who would pickup on Thursday and drop off no later than the following Thursday. The pickup was easy, came to our home, very seamless process. The person said it would be delivered Wednesday, or Thursday the latest. My daughter checked in with the driver on Monday to see delivery status and the car was only in Arizona 4 days later. Checked back in with the driver Tuesday who said it wouldn't be there until Friday and yelled at my daughter that he wouldn't have taken the car if he knew it needed to be there Thursday. That was the commitment the broker made, which was confirmed by the pick up person, although fine print in the contract says delivery is an estimate in case of weather delays. The broker was incredibly rude, completely disrespectful and totally unaccountable for the issues with delivery timing. On Friday, I had to pay $100 for an uber to take my daughter to a random pickup location 50 minutes away to retrieve her car despite it being a supposed door to door service. Buyer beware!!! Do not work with eShip or Top Zet which was the transport company. hORRIBLE!!!
My car was in tenneessee for two weeks. they took my $270 and never provided a service. Never followed up. I had to keep calling them and they never did get my car. I had to dispute the charge to get my $270 back. Very poor customer service. I would NOT RECOMMEND!
Nothing but headaches and problems. Scheduling was only done at the last minute, even though there were many week's notice. They sent a flatbed truck instead of a real car carrier and my car was damaged as a result. Don't worry about saving money, save your sanity and get someone else!
I had a fantastic experience shipping my car from South Florida to New Jersey. The entire process (from initial phone call to delivery) took 5 days. Mark reached out to me on a Sunday and explained the entire process in great detail so I would know what to expect. I was matched with an auto transport company in a few days and the price was very reasonable. Chirolde Trucking LLC provided an excellent experience. Humberto, the dispatcher, was extremely kind, communicative and professional. Car arrived in perfect condition with no issues whatsoever. I can't recommend this team enough!
SCAM-- RUN!!!!!!! Harry quotes you incorrectly. He's a scam artist. They demanded hundreds of dollars more upon pickup.
customer service isnt their first language clearly because they have none. I asked for a quote online, a lady named Michelle texted me saying that she saw my current quote and listing and that it wasnt a reasonable price and probably wont get picked up by a carrier... I was at work when called and texted and all I responded was "ive shipped a car before for $900 lol" and this nut job started talking back like it was her job to be a complete bitch. I attached the messages for refference, Ive never in my career of working spoke to ANY possible customer in that manner, especially if im trying to upcharge and compete with another business. Needless to say, I will stick with carriers who are respectful of their customers and dont try to make more money off you.. And yes I respectfully dropped the F bomb on her for being so unprofessional.
Overall I'm satisfied with the shipment of my 1967 Camaro from California to Utah. Scheduling it was fine, no issues Dana's communication was great. Finally scheduled to be picked up at the sellers house whom was 79 years old. Driver from Smart Logistics' contacted the seller the day prior and scheduled the pick up time between 12:00-3:00pm. After several emails, calls due to the driver being late with no response the driver called at 4:30 and said he would be there at 6:45. At 7:30, he called and said another 30 minutes. At 8:55, car was finally on the trailer. Car was delivered on time to Utah and the driver communicated just fine during the transport. I don't know what was up with the pick up, but it left the seller basically being stuck at from from 12:00 on and to make matters worse it was his birthday, so it affected his dinner with his family. It looked bad on me because I am the one who scheduled and arraigned everything. A little less than satisfied. No one offered an explanation, or accommodation or anything. Customer service seemed to lack on that one.
Purchased a car in Atlanta, GA and needed it transported to Temecula, CA. I had requested a hard sided enclosed semi trailer. The driver called and said he would be there at 4pm. Then the time was updated to 7.30pm. That time window passed and he finally got there at 11pm to load my car. He asked to have the car driven to Walmart about 4 miles away.
The trailer loading was videotaped to ensure no damage incurred during loading. The trailer that was used was a tarpliner. It has about six tarps down each side. This allows a lot of road dirt in and your car gets filthy. Well on top of that the roof had holes in it and it leaked rain on my car with all the road dirt. The color of the car was almost unrecognizable when it was delivered to me five days later.
I paid a premium ($2150) for an enclosed trailer and was ensured that is what I would get. I also expressed in my conversations and communications no tarp side trailers.
The Eship co does not own any trucks and trailers. It is contracted out to owner operators. Eship essentially has no control after a contractor accepts the job. The transport co was Montway Auto Carriers. The dispatcher didn't seem to give a s$%^ about customer service or time of delivery.
Fortunately the car wasn't damaged, but it was delivered filthy, picked up late, and not the requested type of trailer.
Update: Eship has issued a $100 credit to get my car detailed. Very nice gesture....but had they used the trailer type that I requested and promised that I would get they wouldn't of had to do this and I would have been satisfied.
We needed a specific delivery route from New Jersey to Tampa that we put into the E-Ship website. It was basically a lead generation website that then farms out your job to a commissioned sales agent. Anna was assigned to us and she told us what we wanted to hear about the 2 day pickup window.
RED FLAGS
- they took at times 48 hours to return a simple email
- They stated they could guarantee a 2 day window pickup when they are just a broker putting it on marketplace
- They were misleading and basically lied when they said they needed a deposit.
The DEPOSIT is their broker fee-- you give the cash or certified check to the actually driver at drop off. They wanted a $450 broker fee for simply listing two cars on the private dispatch site!!
