The Good:



* Always answered the phone

* COD payment to transport company was $100 more than quoted. Get It Done refunded this $$ which I paid to the driver.

* Quoted price was not high or low...right in the middle.



The Not So Good



* Pickup was 2 days later than promised. Not a big deal, but it kept the seller waiting on a call from the shipper.

* Delivery was 3 days later than promised. I asked several times fro an ETA, but only got crickets. GID only communicated to me if I reached out, but never gave me an ETA.

* I finally contacted the shipping company directly to get the delivery window. GID was of no help for this.



They got the job done, but are a major PIA to deal with. Avoid.

The Good:

* The shipper required an extra $100 COD. Get It Done refunded the amount from my deposit back to me so I could pay the driver and keep the overall price as quoted.

* I was almost always able to contact the company by phone.

* Vehicle arrived safe and sound.



The Not So Good

* Pickup was 2 days later than promised

* Delivery was 3 days later than promised

* No responses to emails or texts...always had to call them.

* No tracking of shipment was provided...after many daily requests. I finally called the actual shipping company to find out when the truck would be arriving (Get It Done are brokers...they hire out the shipping). Otherwise I had no visibility as to when the vehicle would be arriving.

* I never received any acknowledgement of the order after I paid the deposit, or a confirmation of the COD amount. Thankfully the person who shipped the vehicle texted me a copy of the bill of lading from the shipper. Otherwise I would have never known the COD amount was higher than quoted.



Summary

* Company seems to be honest, but not well organized. The response of the company is always about how they are a family run business but never addresses the issues raised.

I chose not to file a complaint (along with the 31 other ones) on BBB cuz after sending them a threatening letter, he did return the deposit we had paid. we had the same experience as others posted here-no communication, not showing up and having excuses, raising the price after agreeing to a price (and giving an excuse that wasn't true), and lying. and it's laughable how he responds to these reviews.....

I can't stress enough how STRESSED I was to have this task assigned to me.



Transporting a car from Michigan to Texas in a crazy weather storm. I called about 10 different companies, some lying, and some telling the truth (at least I think they were).



Overall, I contacted Joe at "Get It Done Transportation" and his knowledge and explanation of the whole process was not only greatly appreciated but he was completely transparent with possible issues and the entire process from the time my call was made to the delivery. The driver connected with me on pick-up and drop-off. Both the Driver and Joe were extremely respectful and kept me in the loop while transporting. I would say my only issue was that the payment was not all upfront. I was able to pay 1/3 via credit card and the other 2/3 upon arrival. Which I understand that they want to ensure that my jeep would arrive safely, but I did have to use Zelle, a cashier's check or cash for the remaining balance. Luckily it wasn't an issue, but I did think, what if I didn't have that cash all up front?



Otherwise, I feel like the process was very smooth. Joe checked in with me to see how things were going and was always available when I called. I will most definitely be using his services again and would surely recommend!

Joe Pein, don't trust what he tells you. He will increase the price for no reason, just stressing you up since your vehicle is on the road. After the increase, we agreed we split it between his company and me. He never honored his word. Don't work with this guy, you will lose something for sure, and he is not a man that honor hos word, so whatever he oromis you, you will not get it. He promised to get me my 100$ back in July, and today is November 16. And this family thing that he puts on his website? Means nothing! Again, don't trust this guy!

Joe Pein, don't trust what he tells you. He will increase the price for no reason, just stressing you up since your vehicle is on the road. After the increase, we agreed we split it between his company and me. He never honored his word. Don't work with this guy, you will lose something for sure, and he is not a man that honor hos word, so whatever he oromis you, you will not get it. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a scam from the beginning. My Slingshot was promised to be picked up no later than 25 August for $1640 for enclosed shipping. August 25 came and went and I was the only one trying to reach out to find out what was going on? My shipment was never dispatched and I was blackmailed into now paying over $1900 and having to wait around until the 27th because he knew I had no other choice. So unethical

If you're planning on using this company...BEWARE. I used Get It Done Transportation (GIDT) to transport my mother's vehicle 2 years ago, and all went without a snag. HOWEVER...I was going to use their service this year, but what happened while I was setting up the service this week borders on fraudulence. Unbeknownst to me and without my authorization, GIDT saved my credit card from 2 years ago and never deleted it from their system. When David M. was taking down my information, he said I would need to pay a deposit, and I explained I would need to call back later with my mother's credit card number because the service was for her. GIDT decided to help themselves to my personal credit card that they had in their system from 2 years ago and processed the charge for the deposit and did not wait for me to call back with my mother's credit card number. Not only did they process a charge I hadn't authorized, they charged me $175 deposit when David had quoted me $150. After I spoke with David the first time, I received an email which I thought was a quote for the service. It said that the deposit was $170 so I emailed David asking him to confirm that the deposit amount to which he replied confirming it was $150. That same evening, I was checking my credit card account online for something unrelated and noticed a charge from GIDT for $175 which I found shocking since I hadn't provided them with a credit card number to set up the transport service. I immediately emailed David to dispute this charge and requested that GIDT void this charge. When I didn't receive a reply back, the next day I spoke with David, and he said they would process a refund and that they would confirm via email. I have not heard back at all from GIDT so now I've had to submit a dispute claim to my credit card company. Based on others' reviews on Yelp, it appears that Get It Done Transportation has a pattern of charging customers' credit cards without their authorization. I cannot do business with a company that is not trustworthy. It is a shame that this company currently operates this way because I was planning on being a repeat customer before this all happened.

Think about this and read others. my deposit was $190 they charged me $290 then two days later charged me another $100 without my permission or even contacting me. Mistake? I think not. How many people don't look at their accounts? I think they get away with this more than they don't.

He was supposed to have my Jeep picked up Monday - Tuesday that didn't happen when I asked him about the guarantee he says Monday doesn't count????????? Then he hits me up for a extra hundred dollars in order to get the pick up done.....He is not a man of his word

My experience with Joe Pein was absolutely horrible, He says he has a 2 day pick up guarantee WHAT A JOKE!!! He was supposed to have my Jeep picked up Monday - Tuesday that didn't happen when I asked him about the guarantee he says Monday doesn't count????????? Then he hits me up for a extra hundred dollars in order to get the pick up done.....He is not a man of his word

First of all Joe was great to work with! He was quick to respond to my messages and answered all of my questions. Very fair and competitive pricing. My first company I contacted bumped the price $500 on the scheduled day of pick up and his excuse was they were short on drivers and it would cost more to get one to take on my car! CANCEL!! RED FLAG!! I then checked out other options and found Get it Done Transport or he found me but so glad it worked out that way! Joe was honest in his pricing he had plenty of drivers and was able to schedule one in my time frame. It was a great experience from start to finish! Highly recommend and would use this company again if the need arose...Thanks again Joe:)

They didn't pick up my vehicle when they were supposed to and then ghosted me the enext day and wouldn't pick up any phone calls or call me back when I left messages with very clear details instructing them to do so. I had to go with another company because they never picked up my vehicle. They did take my deposit money though. I won't ever try to use them again. *Update* I was contacted by the company and received an apology and they tried to make the issue right. I did appreciate that so I am upping their stars to 4.

I hired 'Get it Done Transportation' to move my car and motorcycle from Los Angeles to Chicago. It started simple and easy enough. Fairly priced and easy to communicate with, if I reached out to them. They rarely, if ever, communicated with me if I didn't reach out to them first. When they contracted a transpo company (TJJ), the company just didn't even bother to show. That left Joe at 'Get it Done Transportation' racing to find a last minute fill-in, which they did (Velgard Logistics). I was informed that the cost would be an extra $400, but that my responsibility would be $200. I agreed, reluctantly, to the $200 extra. Then my card got charged $450 extra. Wait, what!!?? Why the extra $250?? I was told and agreed to $200. Why am I being penalized because your transport team didn't show? Velgard shows up at 11:30 at night with a guy who spoke a different language. We could not communicate. Furthermore, he couldn't ride, start or handle a motorcycle. I actually had to load my own motorcycle on a rinky-dink trailer hitched to the back of a heavy duty pickup truck. Velgard showed up at my destination late and they damaged my motorcycle. I tried to speak to dispatch, but no-one could communicate with me due to language barrier. So, 'Get it Done' penalized me for their transport not showing up, had me load my own bike, then delivered to me a damaged (deep scratch) motorcycle. I haven't heard from them since. They were to busy to communicate (their words). They actually played me back a recording of me agreeing to $200 extra. Even if I did, which I didn't, agree to $400 extra, where'd the extra $50 come from?? Joe, nor his Uncle, could account for that. If nice is enough for you, then these are your guys. I don't care how many sprinkles you put on top of dog crap...it's still dog crap!! If communication, competence, clear and fair business practices is what you want, then I suggest you look elsewhere! Check out their BBB reviews!! A lot of people lost so that you can hopefully avoid the same issues.

l hired Get It Done Transportation to bring my honda accord from NY-CA. worst company ever. they quoted me for $1400 then came back saying they can't find anyone for that price to bring it. by the time they found someone, i ended up paying copart for storage fee plus another $100. then the company that was supposed to deliver it in 6 days took them 10 days. I texted Joe saying can you please find out why is it taking so long and no response from him. They just take your money and leave. i ended up locating the company to see when my vehicle was going to be delivered. first they told me there a transportation company, come to tell, there a dispatcher.

I had GET IT DONE deliver my Corvette from Connecticut to California this summer. The transaction went really well... the car arrived in California exactly as discussed. What was really good was being able to reach by cell phone when the driver had a payment question at delivery. Would definitely use this company again.

If I could give this company a zero, I would. We're a military family that moved across the country so we decided to ship our cars instead of driving cross country. We were expecting our cars to be picked up on a Monday and due to a "fender bender" with the driver they were unable to pick up our cars until the wee hours of Saturday morning. This was after days of empty promising that they would be picked up.

One of the employees insisted that he was helping us out by "eating the cost" of using a different carrier, as if we played a role in the inconvenience. In the meantime I had already left the state due to a purchased airline ticket and had to rent a car. We finally received our cars a week and change after the scheduled date.

Joe made it clear that he would not prorate the cost of the delivery even though I had spent over $500 in rental cars while I waited for our cars to arrive. His rationale was that I could have cancelled at anytime during the process and he would have refunded. However, if it weren't for the empty promises of the cars being "picked up the next day", every time we spoke, I would have.

I would not recommend this company unless they vastly improve their customer service.

I am extremely displeased with my service with Get it Done transportation.

I received a quote from the for transport of my vehicle from Massachusetts to California for $1690. I confirmed I was told the deposit would be $190. I was instructed by to give my information over the phone as it would be easier. 2 days later I am charged $290. I texted joe about this which he explained that since he is so expensive they have to give a higher deposit but it would be the same total.

I am guaranteed pickup +/- 2 days of my selected day which was June 23. I had to call Joe to be told that my my car could not be picked up June 23 and again June 24 and guaranteed it would be June 27. Come Monday I am told there is nothing and someone can pick it up Wednesday June 29 for $1840. I communicated my displeasure with Joe and Dave (company boss) and he said he would comp $75 so my total amount paid would be $1765 which I agreed with. My car was picked up June 29 and upon arrival to California

The truck driver communicated that the price for shipment was $1650 per Get it Done transportation. I called Joe and Dave with no answer. Ultimately paid the driver 1650 to get the process over with.

I then called both Joe and Dave with delayed responsive and repeatedly told they would look into it. 1.5 weeks later no response.

At the end of this service I have spent $290 + $1650 = $1940. I feel conned through this process and hope no others have to go through a similar. I do not recommend them and please use this as a fair warning.

Read his response to this. How was I trying to "extort" or "scam" him just by asking for the courtesy of a phone call. I stand by what I wrote in the original review. Yes I did agree to the second trucker but felt I had no choice after he reneged on the original contract or I would have faced an impossible delay which would have been HIS responsibility. And he thinks I'm extorting HIM! He never even called to let me know the first trucker canceled and he can't even get my name right.

The quoted price is competitive, the weird thing is you could get difference quotes depending on the people you interact with. To test this out I actually inquired about the same transport to two different people (through two different online forms) and the second quote was over $130 more. Anyway, reason for the 3 start is mainly due to communication. They were really quick at communicating and getting back to me before I made the deposit, but after the deposit is made I experienced a much delayed response or no response at all. At first I thought it was the Thanksgiving holiday, but after being ignored for 6 days I simply blamed on their professionalism. One other thing I didn't appreciate is how the driver called me an hour before and after the car was picked up and dropped off, which I specifically asked to be told at least a day in advance. Also, keep in mind that this company is also a broker so the bad or good reviews you see here may or may not pertain to them so use your best judgment.

I called David (the owner) wondering if I could get my vehicle by Saturday and I was told it would be. Saw reviews about how if something goes wrong after your down payment they won't communicate with you about it and that happened, exactly. I received an email stating who my carrier was and when it would be picked up/delivered. So I called the dealership and they said the vehicle was not picked up. So I called David, no answer. Called an hour later, hung up early. Texted/called the "24/7" business number, no answer. So I called the carrier, who was an amazing person, and he said they were called about the job but they never accepted it and was unable. The carrier ended up doing a great deed and made it work after I called him because he knew I needed the car for graduation. He was originally not going to do it. So, the carrier and his wife arranged the pickup and contacted David. My mother had to call him on her phone (a different number so he wouldn't think it was me) and he answered her questions. Car arrived 3 days after I was told it was. If the carrier went above and beyond, I don't know if I'd have my car still. All in all, I got my vehicle at some point, caused a lot of stress, but got it done.

Update: David, your reply is not something I was expecting of. Instead of apologizing for any inconvenience or ensuring that it won't happen again. You try to make it seem like it was 100% me feeding false accusations. Like I've seen on other yelp reviews that have almost the exact same situation as mine, you ENSURE that it's none of your responsibility and 100% the customer's fault. You tell us customers afterwards to leave a review to tell you guys how you did so you know what the customer's experience was and if it's not a 5-star review you try to humiliate the person instead of taking any type of ownership or responsibility. Don't you want your business to receive reviews like this so you know what you need to improve on? I'm really confused.
