Grifo Auto Transport
Customer Reviews
Grifo Auto Transport pick up a car for me from Hackensack NJ and took it to Manheim PA where no one else would do it and fast great job guys
Terrible customer service. Lowball customers to get their business then bait and switch and then wonder why people get upset. They hung up on me when I called them out on their mess. Look up their google ratings they are terrible. Bad service. Dishonest broker. Stay away
She responded to this review like she's a pro. But she gave my phone number to 100 auto companies who have been calling me nonstop and spamming my email. Then emails me at 8am taunting me. She's very unprofessional and should find another line of work
I have to give 1 star only because there isn't an option for 0 stars.
I hired Grifo Auto Transport to haul my Harley Davidson Ultra Classic from Nebraska to Michigan. Melissa brokered my bike out to a company that sent a driver that had NEVER hauled a bike before. The driver in fact stopped at our local Harley dealership to buy straps and to ask them how to haul the bike. I'm not even sure this company is a brokerage ~ I'm going to be looking into that as well. I will also be reporting this company to the FMCSA.
He rode our bike about 2 blocks to where he was parked, (I had to close my eyes cuz I couldn't watch him ride it as it was obvious he wasn't a rider) and my boyfriend had to come home from work and lost working time because he had to help load the bike.
The BOL stated we owed $400.00 but the driver stated he needed $500.00 which was the full amount. So I paid that amount in cash, thankfully getting a receipt, thinking that ok Grifo Auto Transport did not charge us $100.00. Come to find out Melissa did charge us $100.00 so we over paid by $100.00. She is the one that charged our card but refuses to refund our card and blames the carrier for the error even though she hired the company. So we have to wait for the carrier to refund our money while wondering if it gets to us as we are moving to a different state.
We also got charged and extra $50.00 because she had no carrier ~ I thought she she meant one of her carriers ~ had she told me she was brokering my load out I would have said no thank you. I have experience in the trucking industry and ALL of her customer service goes against the ethics of being in good standing.
After encountering the problem Melissa would not answer the phone when I called and only replied to certain emails.
I WOULD NEVER REFER THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! THERE ARE GOOD COMPANIES OUT THERE THAT HAVE ETHICS THAT THEY GO BY AND WILL DO A GOOD JOB!!
Contacted Melissa Grifo and asked about a vehicle transport from
Indiana to New York. I also asked about a military/veteran discount
and she stated it would be $450.00. I agreed and provided her my
contact information, I never received the quote. I called her back 2
days later and provided her with the correct email address, once more.
I patiently waited for communication or an update and no response. I
contacted her and she mentioned she would follow up with me. No follow
up, when I emailed her again she sent me a screenshot of a previous
email. She had enough time to screen shot but not actually respond
like an adult with words? At this point I was not impressed by her
lack of professionalism and etiquette.
A few days later she has the vehicle picked up with out calling me
first to tell me about the 150.00 increase in price. She denies the
initial price and continues to email me after I asked her to cancel
the contract ,cease all communication at once and not touch my
vehicle. They continued to harras me with countless emails and text messages.
They actually kidnapped the car and threatened to keep it at their
yard until I paid them the 600 dollars I did not agree to. I proceeded to have my lawyer contact Melissa and her supervisor who cursed at my lawyer and hung up on him multiple times. Rude and uncalled for when I am attempting to obtain the price they promised me.
Afterwards I was contacted by every shipping company in the east coast to transport my home goods, RV, vehicles and anything else one could possibly move. Remember that I only contacted this horrible brokering company. I wonder who contacted all of these companies in my name? Hmmmmm.
Avoid at all cost. Price gouging and rude. This is verified by others
in multiple review sites. They are childish and dishonest. Typical brokers trying to rob you by asking for a non refundable deposit for their fee and then leave you disappointed with "empty threats".
Her response on here is all false, avoid at all cost!!!
We went to Grifo Auto Transport to ship a car from PA to CA. After signing and sending the order it took a couple weeks for Grifo to find a carrier. That was completely fine (I'd told them we weren't in a hurry), I just would have liked to be updated once or twice without having to call them myself. They were clear about the cost and didn't charge the fee until they found a carrier. I'd definitely use them again.
I am forced to give 1 star... Only because there is no option to give 0!
I hired this company to transport my vehicle from California to New York 3 weeks ago. The night before pick up day... I still had NO time frame of when my car was going to be loaded on the truck. After calling and calling, I was informed by Lenny that not only was the rate he quoted me going up... I would also have to pick up my vehicle 2 hours from my new home in Manhattan!
Upon having this conversation... I was told to deal with the carrier company MYSELF and given the number to speak to the transport dispatcher.
From there, I worked directly with the carrier company MYSELF to coordinate pick up time. Prior to the pick up of my vehicle, $150 was deducted from my account by Grifo Auto Transport (after being told that $ would not be payable until my car was picked up by the carrier).
Lenny NEVER called to follow up with me!
I then received a call from my driver to let me know that I could schedule delivery on my car... After speaking to the carrier company, I was told if I needed my vehicle prior to the END of next week (3 weeks from original pick up date) I would need to come to pick up my vehicle in Morristown, PA (3 hours from my home)...
At this point I reached out to Lenny to fully educate him on my feeling surrounding the situation. I also requested a refund for the $150 he deducted from my account. (I am not sure what this $150 was for as I coordinated the whole transaction myself with the carrier).
Now, I write this review as I sit at the carrier offices awaiting a locksmith to arrive to unlock my vehicle as the keys to my car are NOT here... I learned that Lenny let them know that I was in NO HURRY to get my car after they had it loaded on a truck to deliver to me at my home yesterday!
This "broker" has done NOTHING in this process but give the carrier BAD information and make this whole process for me and my family an absolute NIGHTMARE!
