To say I was nervous about towing my vehicle by a business I wasn't familiar with would be an understatement. It was my brand new (used) car in amazing condition and I read horror story after horror story on review sites (including yelp and BBB) about working with different brokers and it seemed like the whole business was a nightmare. I was SO grateful to get on the phone with Mary and hear someone I could recognize as honest and thorough. Other places take a customer's deposit (do not fall for that!) and then jack up the price right before picking up your vehicle. If you refuse, they already have a nonrefundable deposit from you that you can't fight. Here, no deposit, the most reasonable price I found (except for places that wanted to charge me a $200 deposit and then God only knows how much day of) and helpful service. Mary walked through the entire process with me, answering all my phone calls with respect and kindness. I was grateful to find there is still work ethic out there amongst all these thieves. My car was delivered safely and I was grateful to have given my money to someone who delivered exactly what they promised. Thank you King of the Road!

My 2014 Toyota FJ was damaged ($7,900) on route from the dealership to my home. The driver hit a highway overpass damaging the roof & destroying the roof rack. After doing a background check, Jesse Ross owner, J & C Transports, LLC (Las Vegas) has had a history of similar accidents and prior arrest for Driving w/ Suspended License (2nd Offense) & Improper Parking/Operating Unregistered Vehicle Trailer/Semi Trailer. He's gone MIA leaving me w/ his share of the Progressive Cargo claim deductible of $2,500. Yes, King of the Road is the broker, however I put my trust in your services that you would find a REPUTABLE auto carrier with a professional and reliable history. I'm still out $2,500 for Jesse Ross' deductible. I would hate to have this happen to another person. Find another broker... King of the Road is not the broker for you!

I don't usually write reviews but had to write one for this because of how great of an experience I had with them. I understand this all sometimes comes down to luck with the trucking company they set you up with.

King of the Road: fast communication with my rep, Vanessa. She said i could call, text, or email. She even said she would be monitoring my bid over the weekend if needed

Trusted Transportation LLC: This is the trucking company that moved my car. Their rep, Chelsea, and driver, Patrick Huber were also easy to contact. Patrick was very nice and professional. He even made arrangements to deliver my car on the day and time i wanted.

For a company that's business is to help people move youd think they'd be aware of time zones. I live in Hawaii and its stated that I live in Hawaii on my quote and yet I receive calls about if I want to ship my car at 5:30 in the morning, not once but TWICE. I will not be using this service to ship my car because I do not appreciate being woken up by a company that dosent bother to check the time zone of people they're trying to make sales too.

From start to finish, their service stood out ahead of the other 3 companies I called.

Quick, easy, and I never felt dumped from them to a sub-contractor. Max who did the driving was as much of a pro as Claire who booked the original booking.

happy to use them again.

I wish I could give this company zero stars. 16 DAYS SINCE PICKUP AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY VEHICLE. Everything about my experience has been absolutely terrible.

August 21:
My original pick up was scheduled for 8/21 between 3 - 5 p. I called to confirm this time slot multiple times so that I would be available. (It's difficult for me to take off time from work) The driver showed up at 1 pm without warning that they would be early. Needless to say it was a disaster. Long story short, we ended up having to cancel this transportation carrier and schedule a new one - Car Post, Inc.

New driver was scheduled for the 22nd at 10 am.

August 22:
Driver showed up an hour and a half late. Okay, cool. I was quoted that my car would arrive in MA (from CA) BY August 30 the latest.

August 29:
I call King of the Road to check on the status of my vehicle. No response. Left a message.

August 31:
NO CAR. After not hearing from the company for days, I call multiple times and receive no response. I leave multiple messages, no response.

Finally I get a call back saying that the "driver has had issues and broke down." Okay, no problem. I understand things happen, I'm not unreasonable. I was just glad my car wasn't stolen. I was told my car would be guaranteed by end of day Monday September 3.

September 4:
Tuesday morning rolls around, still no car. Again, no response to calls or messages.

September 5:
FINALLY I got a call back. The "driver has had issues and broke down" (Are you F***ING serious? Think of a new excuse.) my car will be delivered by end of day, September 6.

September 6 (Today):
...... I just got a call from Car Post, Inc. saying there was a delay and "I will be updated with an estimate of delivery as soon as possible."

This company needs to get their act together, find better carriers, and improve communication. ASAP.

Let me start by saying I never feel the need to leave a negative review on a business. This just goes to show how awful my experience has been. This business is terrible. My wife and I have had to physically harass the company to recieve any updates at all.

It's been well over a week since the promised delivery day, and for the past 3 days, they've said the same thing. "Your driver is close and the vehicle will be delivered tomorrow". That was two tomorrows ago. Still no vehicle. My update today was "your driver will be there tomorrow". Of course.

This place is a despicable scam, and they justify the terrible service by blaming the people THEY pay to contract out for delivery. The reviews say it all.

Hey, King of the Road,
If you have terrible experiences with your drivers, as many of these reviews reflect, take responsibility for your own actions and HIRE SOME DIFFERENT DRIVERS.

0/10, NEVER use this company. You're better off pushing your car coast to coast.

UPDATE! The car was delivered today, with 10 miles to Empty in the tank. Initially upon pick up, there was 140. We also found a receipt for McDonald's breakfast in the passenger seat floor area from the morning the car was delivered, well before it got to us. This place is a joke.

First impression was great - sales rep was informative, helpful, fast, polite. However I booked and enclosed truck a month in advance and got a call 4 days before pickup that they didn't have a truck yet. After agreeing to pay an additional $100, they still couldn't find a truck, and they didn't return my calls/texts for over a day - 2 days before requested pickup. Said I'd accept an open truck and they found one, but pickup was 6 hours late and delivery was 3 days late. Lastly, I found out an hour before delivery (from the driver, not from King of the Road) that I needed a cashiers check to pay the driver directly. When people say this industry isn't reliable, believe them. Good news is the car arrived fine and the stuff we packed in it was all there too.

Well, they are kinda like someone who is only interested in you for sex. They are very attentive at first (calling and emailing constantly) but then once you put your car onto the auto-carrier, then you can't get them on the phone. Once they have your deposit and your car, the customer service department and your agent will be incommunicado.
Oh, and the "Track Your Car" button on the website is not some sophisticated GPS tracking system. It is you entering your information and hopefully someone will email you back. Although, they never emailed me back....
