* This wasn't my 1st rodeo and thought others were as good as it gets until...Mercury Auto Transport. Trevor Thomas, Senior Logistics Agent at Mercury Auto Transport, exceeded my expectations and provided me the most outstanding experience with the transporting of my beloved Z4 BMW, I never anticipated.



* After submitting direct quote requests and landing on a brokers listing board, which I'd tried to avoid, at all costs but got my info sold anyway. (very irritating).



* Mercury (Trevor) is the only one that didn't inundate me with pesky phone calls, nor followup emails, quote revisions or text messages. In fact, the only follow up email was a very detailed list of safety issues of what to be aware of with brokers and direct to consumer carriers.



* After my nearly 2-week long thorough review research on every submission and un-invited company, I decided to come back to Mercury's quote (which was also within my intended budget), not highest nor lowest.



* Trevor had the wherewithal not to add to the litany of calls & emails I was receiving. He left me to do my due diligence. His professional demeanor and genuine nature, impeccable service, and timeliness, gave me the confidence and trustworthiness I needed the most and ability to meet my work schedule without additional up-charges. All a key factor in my decision-making.



* Regarding price, it was held at the price quoted, even after informing me the price may change as the online quote is a bot, standard practice in the industry, hence typical price increases if booked online which also doesn't include his broker fee. I was very concerned about the driver asking for more monies upon delivery, he assured me that was not their policy and would never be acceptable. Trevor was easy to communicate with, forthright and patient. He assured me once the contract was agreed upon the rate wouldn't change. Trevor even had an out-of-the-box know-how skillset for getting around another broker's refusal to remove my car from the listing board whom I'd Never booked. Genius Trevor and Thank you!

The 3rd and final carrier that accepted the price quoted was Prestige. At pickup, I spoke with Victor and immediately was greeted with a super friendly, outgoing and engaging driver, whom was met by my brother in the Mid-West, who was immediately comfortable with his professional demeanor and ego-free personality.



* Prestige held my car in their lot in Florida over the weekend to accommodate my work schedule without additional charges (which Trevor had informed me of was an option). Whew! Their flexibility and understanding was a major bonus. At drop-off to a mechanics shop for a check-up having been stored over the winter, the location didn't allow for a turn-around of a 9-car hauler but Prestige's driver, Christian, was confident he could make it happen and not to worry. Low and behold, he did just that! He too, was extremely good natured and outgoing personality. This all made for a very stress-free process thanks to Trevor not settling for mediocrity and constantly put me at ease during the entire process.



*Milleoni at Prestige was pleasant and easy going and patient as well with my many phone calls. Then there was June, in Mercury's Fulfillment Dept., who like Trevor went above & beyond. Not only did she follow up and follow thru, she sent me emails on her weekend days off, making sure everything was going according to plan and Prestige had been in touch, and offered support if needed.

I had to ship a Wagoneer across the country. Logan provided information about the process upfront, which set expectations. He found various awesome deals that I had to push back on because the car was not ready to be transported, and he was very patient. When the car was ready, he found another awesome deal within a few hours. He was constantly in communication and super easy to get a hold of. I felt very comfortable having my new car shipped with him and would find him again if I ever had to ship a car across the US. I highly recommend working with Logan.

This past summer, I had a horrible moving home moving experience from Wisconsin to North Carolina, so I was a bit hesitant about hiring yet another moving company to transport a car this time all the way from California to North Carolina. Bad experiences appear to be common when it comes to out-of-state moving of, well, anything. But when I contacted Mercury Auto Transport, William (my agent) was very clear and managed expectations well. He provided a step-by-step process as to how Mercury was going to handle the car transport: I'll give them a target date when I'd like to receive the car, they'll give me an estimate of how much it'll be to transport the car, the actual carriers will bid on transporting my car, and I get to decide whether I want to pay the amount specified by the carrier in the bid. William would regularly text/email me updates about bids and potential bids, which definitely made me less anxious. When he didn't reply to my text over a weekend, he apologized profusely, which was not necessary but very considerate.



Scheduling the pickup was really smooth. Alex (the rep from American Auto Carrier) gave me a time frame, and the driver, Daniel more or less abided by that. Daniel, the driver, was also great. There is an issue with the driver-side window (it's a 24 year old car so of course it has weird issues), and he followed instructions well to get it back up. When Daniel's car broke down, Alex promptly communicated the potential delay. I was expecting a much longer delay but delivery ended up being delayed only one day.



William continued to be attentive and checked in with me on whether I was receiving updates from the driver and carrier. June (someone else from Mercury) also checked in on how communicative American Auto Carrier has been.



Drop-off was very smooth too. While Daniel was a bit late from the estimated time frame (probably due to traffic), he remained communicative and gave me an estimated arrival time. Daniel asked to meet a nearby shopping plaza and he had the keys ready to hand off to me. He was very patient as I tried to figure out how to send money to him and his boss via Zelle.



In all, car arrived in one piece and in the expected condition. I had a delightful experience with Mercury Auto Transport and would highly recommend the company to anyone looking for a reliable vehicle transporter!

Piss poor service. An absolute disaster from start to finish. When I initially booked, I awaited contact for vehicle pickup. I received a call with only a 15 minute warning that they could come, a call I missed because I was in the shower. By the time I got to it, again only missing it by about 15 minutes, the driver was out of the city already and I had to get a different pickup the next day. Fastforward to my arrival in San Diego, where the vehicle is to be delivered to. It was meant to be delivered on 4/2, and when it wasn't I had to call, only to find out it was delayed to 4/9. It is now 4/9, and still has not been delivered. I can understand delays, but the issue is I have had no contact at all. No updates. Nobody ever contacted me. I wasn't even given the driver's number, only the dispatch center. From them I obtained the number for the yard my car will apparently stop at. Still no number for the driver. I found out from the yard that there are further delays, now it will apparently be delivered on 4/11. Now my initial agent, who said I should contact him if there are issues, is not getting back to me. In future if I have shipping needs I will NEVER use this company's services again, and I will make sure I tell as many people as possible that Mercury Auto Transport cannot be trusted.

Went on-line this morning and got a quote to transport my small car from north Florida to south New Jersey. Quote was for $505 from Eric La Gra. When I called Eric to book it, he said there was a glitch in the system and the price I was given was wrong. He said I would have to pay about $300 more. STAY AWAY FROM Eric La Gra and Mercury. They don't honor their own quotes, are not trustworthy and try a bait and switch game.

So basically you pay ($200) to Mercury to use their "expertise" to select the "correct" independent transporter for your needs. I felt fine to pay that for the "expertise". And so they found one for me in my agreed on price range.



First this trucker has a 1.5 day breakdown delay. Then his text communications are in broken english, and straight up full of attitude and rude. I'm just trying to get a status update since it's 12 hours AFTER you missed the 2nd pickup time YOU set up!

On the pick up side, I am never given a delivery day or time. So one day I get a text saying the car is arriving TODAY in 4 hours. Luckily I could make the pick up. But come on man. This communication is a terrible way to run a business. I would NEVER use that transporter again. And I hope Mercury doesn't either.

Maybe this is just the way it is in this fully independent operator business. Bottom line, my high end car got here quickly (overall) and undamaged. So, guess I should be thankful?

We don't usually leave reviews but we were so impressed by the service we received from Jim Godze at Mercury transport that I wanted to share our experience with this company. From our very first phone call he relaxed our fears on transporting our car from Connecticut to Florida. He kept in close contact with us until the shipper actually picked up our car who I might add was very polite and responsible. The Service was impeccable and every thing went off like clockwork. Our car arrived in Florida quickly and safely. We could not be more impressed with this company.

We don't usually leave reviews but we were so impressed by the service we received from Jim Godze at Mercury transport that I wanted to share our experience with this company. From our very first phone call he relaxed our fears on transporting our car from Connecticut to Florida. It was decent service and got the job done. I didn't like the upcharge of price and the agent wasn't as helpful as I thought she could've been. I shipped my car from LA to OKC. They were very communicative by sending auto-reminders every week. The only part that knocked some stars down for me was my Mercury agent wasn't much help to guide me on the best timeframe to book the carrier and the final price.



They quoted me around $750, but by the final week of me being in LA the price shot up to over $1k!! That's a huge jump. I understand the quote was an est., but those are 2 different price brackets. Like geez, I could've went to so many other places for that same price.



Second, I told Danielle, that I won't be in the drop-off city until Sunday, didn't care how long it took to get there, just as long as I was there first. She insisted that the pickup window had to be wide. When she called that an option for pickup was available for Monday, 7 days before, I told her I may wait till Tuesday, she said she didn't think she could promise when another carrier would be in the area. I knew that pickup day would be too early. Plus, plenty of other companies kept reaching out about being in my area, so I don't think she was telling the truth. I took her advice my car arrived in OKC 3 days early!! Such an inconvenience and no option of what to do if I'm not there. Thankfully I had friends who could help. But what would happen if I didn't have anyone there, no one answered my question when I asked the company. The headaches could've been avoided. It didn't seem like Danielle knew much about carriers, drive time, or anything.

I found a great used vehicle, three states away and normally I'd fly in to get it and bring it home, I just didn't have the time this time, so I contacted a service to give me a bunch of quotes and I was inundated with WAY too many. I've never used a transport service before, and the attention to detail from my communications with Mercury stood out. They weren't the cheapest, but definitely not the most expensive either. But they seemed like the perfect middle ground of not-too-expensive, but reliable and wouldn't screw me over. I chose them and am very glad I did. Danielle was very easy to get a hold of and very communicative throughout the process. Within a couple days we had a driver picking up the vehicle and the driver handled the pickup directly with the car dealership, no issues there whatsoever.

I originally was going to haul my car myself but once I found out about the possibility of transporting my car I began to do some research and mercury auto transport came up. They did not harass me with endless phone calls and emails like many other companies did. The agent Melissa D was very helpful in helping me navigate the process and the transporter Aaron was amazing himself. He showed up on time, kept in communication with me throughout the whole process and delivered my car days earlier than I had anticipated. Thank you Mercury Auto Transport!

This entire experience has been a total nightmare. Blew up my phone and email several times a day until I hired them they took 175$ from my account and then ghosted me. Kept spinning me over and over. Then the guy on the phone freaked out when I told him I think he's scamming me bc I never talked to the driver who was supposed to call me on pickup. I was guaranteed same day pickup and drop-off. Fake numbers, I literally have to go and speak with detectives about a vehicle being stolen from me now. This is a savage scam. I'm going to lose my job because now I have no vehicle to get me there. This company ruined my life.?

We have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Mercury Auto Trans. Jesus Vega made the entire process simplified even when I had a lot of questions and concerns regarding our timeline. The car was picked up and delivered just as planned from Atlanta to Los Angeles. Price was reasonable and much better than a lot of other quotes we received. June C. checked in with us throughout the process to ensure the driver was communicating. Overall, they did an excellent job and we would use them again in the future. I am also confident in recommending them to anyone looking to safely transport their car.

I researched a few websites to ship my car from Texas to Florida. Out of the different companies, I saw that Mercury had the best reviews. I filled out information and received a quote. The price they quoted me for was $625. Ultimately, they said it was $700. Brian, who is one of the specialist that help coordinate the shipment was very responsive through text/call. This made the move less stressful.

Also you should make sure about placing items in the car. The website said one can place 100 pounds worth of items and the items cannot show through the windows. I confirmed this with Mercury Auto Transport as well.

On the week of the pick-up, Brian gave me the estimate date to pick up and it was within 1-2 days. If you agree with the price and pick up date, then you will put down a deposit. On the day of the move, I tried to coordinate with a third-party driver to pick up my car on the first available pick up date. Due to my schedule, I ultimately had to have them pick up my car the next day. They were accommodating overall. On the day of pick-up, the driver was really strict on having items in the car and he ended up charging me another $200. I wish they would've told me the actual price initially. I did have some items in the car and they were a little over 100 pounds. I didn't expect that to be an extra $200. The total to ship my small SUV with some items ended up being $900. Overall, I thought it was reasonable. The shipment took 2 days and the driver gave me updates on when I can pick up my car.

Would I use this again? Yes, if I have to move again. But I'll make sure with them upfront regarding how much they will charge in the event the items are over 100 pounds.

I am extremely satisfied with these professionals. They are very organized and responsive. My Jeep was picked up on the date I specified and delivered a day earlier than expected. My driver kept in touch throughout the transport. There was no difference between the condition of my Jeep when it was picked up and when it arrived. It would be a pleasure to use this service again in the future. Thank you very much!

From the first time my man Ronnie reached out to me to give me a quote - to when my car arrived - I felt so informed, cared for, educated, and had no stress. My cars (two of them to different locations) both arrived ON TIME and in GREAT condition :) Can't recommend this group more!!

Jesus contacted me at Mercury Transport about transporting our SUV. Initially, things went well; we were quoted a price we thought was fair and were told they would be located a transport truck to bring our SUV to Texas. Two days later, I was notified that they had found a driver. Then I got another notification that the driver wanted what would have me paying nearly $300 more than I was quoted. It wasn't so much about the money than it was about an attempt to be taken advantage of. They know we need and want our car, and they pull this mess on the day of pickup.

Be patient, start early to find a driver, and stay away from Mercury. This is just my experience. But I wouldn't say I like being lied to and exploited, seemingly, that's what they were trying to do. But I'd rather wait a bit longer to get my SUV rather than let them exploit me and my family out of our money. They sit there and post the transport request on a broad for truckers to see. They create nothing and want to exploit people who do work. No way! Stay away from this group.

i initially chose mercury auto transport because their website was very informative about the whole process as well as the do's and dont's when choosing a carrier to ship your car. The agent I dealt with (William Kutchiak) walked me through everything, making the whole process very easy and pleasant. Carrier arrived on time for pick up, and also delivered on time. I would definitely use them again

Mercury is an A-1 auto transport company, and no this is not a fake review, I'm a real person and super picky. I reached out to several brokers to assist with transporting our son's vehicle from Milwaukee to Texas, and after speaking with John, I settled on Mercury. John provided me with all the info I needed and he was very patient and answered all of my questions via text, phone calls, and emails. John communicated with me every few days leading up to the pick up date. Once he secured a carrier he immediately sent over the carrier's info,. John went out of his way to make it a seamless transaction. I was provided with their DOT and MC numbers and urged by John to verify their info on the FMSAC site.Andrew the carrier was as patient, although, I set Friday the 21st as the pickup day, I changed it to Saturday the 22nd and Mercury accommodated me. Andrew arrived on time, had a super lates back attitude, and reassured my don and I that all would be well. He left Milwaukee on Saturday the 22nd and deliver his vehicle safety to Texas the next day. If that's not great customer service, what is! I will never use anyone but Mercury again for a vehicle transport and I'll refer them to others as well.

This is a broker. They quote you a price & then once your date gets close they put the job out there & see who bites. The waiting & not knowing is the hardest part. My driver showed up without any notice & boom I had to have a cashier's check for thousands of dollars ready & waiting.
The amount was higher than originally quoted. My car did arrive safe & undamaged in my new city but it was a pain to get because it was sitting in the back of a hotel & no one had keys to the gate.

My experience was great. My agent was communicative in finding a carrier and checking in everyday the week of to give me updates. My driver was also wonderful and was efficient in communicating his arrival times. He even made sure to bring a flashlight upon drop-off to make sure I could inspect my vehicle thoroughly in the dark.

I am very pleased with the excellent service I received from Deb Ciriello. She advised me from day 1 how shipping a car works. She emailed me all the information and answered all my questions patiently and professionally. I loved that she would also respond to my text messages by the next business day. It was very easy to work with Deb. My daughter's car got safely transported to Texas from CA. I also heard from June from the fulfillment department who followed up with me to make sure I heard from the driver and got an estimated drop off time in Texas. She was very helpful as well. The carrier that the they used did a good job also. Mercury Auto deals with carriers that they trust to transport cars. Thank you so much Deb for all your help since you made it all happen smoothly!!!

I had my Volvo shipped from North Carolina to Seattle, and it arrived sooner than expected in perfect condition. John Garcia was very upfront with a lot of information about how the business works, and why some transport companies quote really low and end up charging a much higher price. It made perfect sense and aligned with what I had researched as well about transporting a car. He was in daily communication until he got a carrier whom they guarantee will be well rated. The carrier John got for me was also very responsive and arrived several days earlier than expected. They even put it on a smaller carrier to bring to me locally, right to my door. A+ for John's communication.

Highly recommend this company. I shopped around for a transport service quite a bit and I had a bit of a complicated order and moved the pick up date around. The rep Logan was very helpful and gave me lots of updates. Very happy with the service I received.

We where not explained how the process works. Joe was not a good communicator. We ended up having to leave our cars behind while we drove to our new home 2 weeks later & still no cars. We went with a different company that had a driver in 45 minutes.

I asked for a quote to move my Mercedes Benz across country, giving all the details of the car and the ZIP Code for pick up and drop off. I got a very professional quote from Pete Reynolds the Senior logistics agent telephone number 9549827951. I left a voicemail for Mr. Reynolds to say I need to book the transportation for the car The next day he said the price was &1230. I asked why his price has jumped up from $900 and gave him the original quote number. He then said to me that was from a generic website and therefore was not from him. I sent him a copy of his quote with his name, his phone number, his company logo, proving that the quote was from him. He then turned rude And said "go and argue with someone else "and "have a nice life" and put the phone down. I guess as a broker he has enough business that he doesn't need anymore especially from a cash paying customer. He obviously just lost my business.

I just had a call from the company who were very professional and apologized for their agents lack of customer service.
Not many places would respond that fast and have the guts to say sorry can we put it right. So I moved them from 1 star to 3. We all have a bad egg or an egg having a bad day. Much appreciated

My car was delivered successfully to the destination within the time frame that I wanted. When it was picked up in Florida, it was delivered to NY within two days which I was impressed with. The company constantly sent me automated emails and texts to say they were looking for carriers and doing everything they could. Unfortunately, the process is a pain because it's never the price they tell you it will be. I wish that was clearer. Also, my agent Jesus wasn't always responsive to my emails. Once I started complaining about the price changes, he wasn't as responsive to my emails.

Unacceptable customer service.

We contacted Mercury Auto Transport to ship our car from California to Virginia and repeatedly stated our earliest date of delivery, which we were ensured it will be delivered after that date. We were having a family member receive the car in Virginia and we are flexible with any date after our stated earliest acceptable date.

Mercury had a higher quote compared to the other transport companies we spoke to, but were the only one that was able to guarantee us delivery with our specified timeline, so we went with them.

The transport company they contracted called our family who is performing the pickup and said they are going to deliver earlier then the expected date which happens to be on the specific day that we repeated stated that we are unable to accept delivery. Upon asking the dispatcher if we are able to delivery on the originally expected date. He was extremely rude and said "Do you want your car to end up in Pennsylvania? We can just drop it off there" This was absolutely unacceptable. Ultimately, my family member had to cancel plans and move things around in order to accept the vehicle delivery.

We tried contacting Mercury Auto Transport to discuss this issue, but they would not respond. The experience was very disappointing. I do not recommend.

Stay away. We engaged Mercury Auto Transport to take our car back to Pennsylvania. The driver never showed up or called. Meanwhile, we had a plane to catch. In the end we lost our airfare costs and ended up driving the car back up ourselves. We lost hundreds of dollars. DO NOT USE THEM. When The driver saw my review, he called and left a very nasty voice mail. They are not a good company.

First time transporting a car using a service and I chose Mercury because they sent emails in the beginning explaining how things work.
Only thing that could have made it 5/5 stars for me would be a clearer explanation of payment. The deposit was paid to Mercury, but the remainder of the payment goes directly to the transport service that is picked.
Also it took almost 4 weeks to find a transport and I didn't expect it to take that long.
Otherwise, my agent Michael Skelton was professional and decently quick at responding to questions.

Justine Muscleman is Unprofessional. Initial call she lays out the process very well and said she would always return texts and over communicate about a shipper and I trusted the pitch. At the end of the 1st call I asked her fully knowing that whatever number she gave me is NOT A GUARANTEE what the rate was,.she also reiterated that to me several times on the phone..So know that it was very well known. She 100% said $475 to me and I was only getting a general idea because I didn't have a clue. It didn't seem like they normally do that so maybe she didn't remember in the conversation detailed below. I don't know. . But whatever it's a number and an idea of cost. She said I can wait and she will get multiple estimates and basically it is up to me when and what rate I'm comfortable with. So again, I knew her numbers were unknown. So it took a few days to get numbers from shippers as she mentioned on the first call. I was ok with that but prior to that I had texted her that the person sending the car was out of town and just plan on the following week. No response. She texted me some urgent message on the first day saying she had a shipper. So I reminded her that I am waiting like my text before mentioned. She said she never received it. It's there. So again out of curiosity alone I inquired with what that rate was and it was 675.I merely questioned what the rate difference was about and said I'd rather wait for something around the 475 mark like the first call number. , then I don't know if she thought I was under the impression that I thought I was on some locked price in at 475 (I didn't) but she snapped at me and said she never said that price. But before she snapped she magically got a number in the 500s somehow when I asked . But I have zero reason to lie and I wasn't even holding them to it or anything of the sort but basically was calling me a liar for ZERO REASON so I scoffed and said "I'm not a liar and have no reason to" because in my head If the rate is 700 then it is. I know that it's a market and constantly fluctuating. Not dumb.HELLO , I am just trying to learn for myself what rates are and timing of when they are high or low. I may have asked you that every time I called It's called being a educated consumer. Over her head. She then told me how good at her job she was and I need to stop yelling at her. I was completely calm until she questioned my recollection of the events. I got one quote and they give out many and it was very informal so I wouldn't even expect her to know the number she said a week prior and it's irrelevant anyways. But I DID remember because it's my transaction. I WAS NOT EVEN HOLDING THEM TO THE NUMBER so it was very bizarre. She hung up on me because I ALWAYS have a issue with with being told I am a liar. Do better. I'd never approach my customers so unprofessional. Then she went on to tell me how good he was at her job. Who does that? Note: my details of my car were wrong and I texted her earlier that morning to change them. So yeah she's pretty good. "Always communicate asap." Didn't even read that I was wanting to waiti a week at all from text 2 days earlier. Yeah, you are a star. Telling your customer that they are basically lying for no reason. Then trash every other broker over and over on the calls to me. Not just sell her company but trash the competitors...clown world. Avoid them.

I would recommend this for your car shipping needs. There are other options out there, but none get it done like mercury.

I had a very positive experience with Mercury Transport. My agent was Paul Hamilton. He was extremely responsive to all of my text messages and phone calls. I had a slight issue with the delivery, but Paul came to the rescue and was able to assist immediately. My vehicle was picked up on time and delivered on time.

I recently used Mercury Auto Transport to move a vehicle from Texas to California. Ryan at Mercury walked me through the whole process and set my mind at ease. After reading many reviews of other vehicle transportation options I was skeptical about how this would turn out.. The vehicle was picked up and delivered as promised without issue. I highly recommend this service. They came through as promised and at a very fair price.

Mercury Auto Transport was really great! I don't normally do reviews but made the process a lot less stressful than I thought it'd be. Shipping my vehicle for the first time I was nervous because there are so many companies to choose from. They shipped my car from North Carolina to Texas with ease and worked with me on a fair price. Logan was extremely helpful, transparent, punctual, and communicative. June was definitely a great help making sure I was satisfied after my vehicle was picked up. I would highly recommend Mercury Auto and will be using them next time I need to ship my vehicle again.

Car was delivered on time and in excellent condition. Bread 4 Life actually transported the vehicle, they were amazing!
Our representative with Mercury Auto Transport, Drew Rightnour took advantage of a time crunch and used it to increase his broker fee. Mercury Auto Transport was contacted over 30 days prior to the requested delivery date, time should have never been an issue.
Our vehicle will be transported back to Salt Lake City in February, Drew personally made sure Mercury Auto Transport will not be involved.

Thanks to Ryan and June for making my cross country move from CA to FL feel effortless, smooth and hassle free. Ryan was the representative helping me throughout the whole process up until I was assigned a carrier in which they were my new point of contact along with June from Mercury's dispatch dept. I signed my contract 3 weeks out and Ryan made sure to maintain communication with me within those 3 weeks on what to expect as the date approached. They are a broker company and it's in your best interest to confirm the carrier once they find one for you. I missed out on the first option as I replied 4 hrs later but Ryan was able to lock me in with their second option. The carrier they chose delivered my car within 6 days WOW! And they made sure to select carriers with good reputation. Honestly, I'm happy they made this stress free and something I did not have to worry about as moving alone is so hectic. Will definitely recommend them to anyone needing their car transport

Have used Ronnie and Mercury Auto Transport 3x now. Each time communication is great and they hit my dates. Cars are picked up and taken care of. They are a broker, but seems to be the only way to get a car moved without being price gouged.

Did a comparison vs. other consolidator sites, and these guys consistency saved me 100-200 vs. the lowest cost other broker. No extra fees etc. Price = their cost to list, and then what you pay to the driver at delivery. Simple.

Following up in my earlier review. 3 emails and two calls to Mercury regarding the poor service and worse communication, hoping that they would do something to remedy the situation. Bottom line:

1. No price quoted means anything, the only price that matters is the one the actual transport company provides a day or two before service. That's how it comes down, nothing is known for sure until a couple days before the transport company (not you) is ready to go. You can choose to refuse, but if you have a schedule, you are stuck with whatever price comes down, when it comes down.

2. No dates are meaningful, it's whenever a company can pick it up. Your personal schedule is irrelevant as found out the hard way; changed 4 times in less than 24 hours.

3. Mercury will do nothing to resolve a truly bad experience. Among the many problems with my delivery, (including delivery to the wrong location) after 3 weeks, three emails, and a couple of calls, the most I was offered were excuses: (it was the transport company's fault); snark (you failed to read the fine print-- we didn't guaranty anything); and, laughably, "we will give the transport company a bad rating in our records." Give me a break.

4. "Satisfaction Guaranteed" from their web post-- absolutely meaningless.

My 1990 Alfa Romeo dumped in the grass of my neighbor's yard, despite the physical map and directions I gave the driver.

I truly wish this had gone better, but Damir Miller at Mercury is just a broker who found me a carrier. He also hooked me with a lower estimate and then raised his fee from $135 to $255 upon acceptance of their services.
The actual auto transport company, Spark Prime Logistics, switched drivers at the last minute and then only gave me an hour window to deliver my car to a previously unknown location which was 13 minutes away.
Because my car was delivered from Illinois to California a day late, I incurred car rental charges and had to drive to a drop off spot a half mile away.
The icing on the cake is that although I accepted the contract, I still receive daily emails from Mr. Miller asking if I want to use his services for this exact same transport, and of course at a lower cost. Ugh.

Don't use this company. Once they had the first half of the payment never heard from them again and had to go pick up my car myself.

The salesperson Damir Muller was extremely rude and harassed me over the text msg after I canceled the order. This is the worst experience I've never had. I'm glad the I sensed the unprofessional of Mercury and canceled the order before it was too late.

When write reviews, I try to supply only the facts. I believe that the facts of the experience with the entity, not my opinion on feelings, are most effective in helping you to determine whether or not you want to proceed with this company.

Jim, the rep that I spoke to, said the following:
* The truck was in Miami and that it would be in Jacksonville ready to pick up my vehicle on 8/2 or 8/3. (Today is 8/1)
* Mercury would charge a $180 broker fee.
* The transporter would charge $805. I'd be required to pay this when the car reached its destination. This could be paid via cash or card. I should reiterate that this would need to be paid upon delivery of the vehicle at its destination.

Note the two screenshots that I've provided. One screenshot has the amount of $805 as the "total tariff". Then, it asks for the credit card number and specifically says "We will process a charge to your credit card based on the payment terms on the previous page."

The problems here:
1) Based on the screenshots, it appears that I'm going to be charged $805. This doesn't align with what I was told via phone about having to pay the transporter directly at the destination.
2) Based on the screenshots, there's no mention of the $180 fee. It's possible that it may have been mentioned later in the contract, but seems a bit odd that they would require my card number BEFORE sharing that information.
3) Due to the highly dishonest nature of so many transport agencies, I don't think that my request for clarification was unreasonable. However, Jim would hear nothing of it.

Based on this information, I have granted 1 stars, and would have granted 0 if that were possible. I'll leave it to you to determine, based on these facts, if you'd like to provide Mercury with your transportation business.

Also, sorry Jim for telling you to f*** yourself. I shouldn't have done that.

Jake Horner was the person that set me up, but wasn't in the office half the time & it was Ryan that finish the transaction with me. I was quoted $1,325, but was told that it's basically like an auction, after back & forth, ended up at $1400 to go from BMW Madison, Wisconsin to Orange County, Southern California. They contracted out to SAP Transport. Was originally suppose to pick up on Tue, then rescheduled to Wed, then the driver never showed up, and ended up picking up on Thurs. I had to call SAP myself multiple times, and wasn't updated by Mercury. I mean all in all, the car got to me safe & as described, SAP got me the car 2 days early & delivered on July 4th at 9pm, right when the fireworks were about to start, but it got here, safe & early. However, Jake & his emails prior to me choosing them were very informative & instill more confidence then some of the other brokers.

I wrote a review that was very unfavorable, however I recd call from Jeff Solomon from Mercury and was convinced that they really messed up my transportation home at the last minute which caused me great distress.
He was extremely apologetic so I will call this company next time, because everybody deserves a second chance.

Our car was delivered yesterday but it was a really terrible experience. They missed three delivery windows and then refused to drop the car anywhere that was convenient. In fact where we picked it up yesterday was late and in a quite dangerous neighborhood despite us providing an alternative address closer to our house that we know is accessible because it's where they stage all the large trucks for concerts in the park. This was all compounded that the driver spoke no English.

I realize Mercury doesn't manage the shipping companies and I gave them a few days to respond (and heard nothing). As the broker they should know about this sub-standard service.
