f I could give them a lower rating I would. This company is sneaky and deceitful in their business dealings. We had specific dates for our car to be shipped and I let them know at least thru 12 different phone calls and texts. After they receive your payment method they could care less about your requests and needs. They have an answer for everything. We changed our airline flights at the suggestion of our salesperson at a cost to us of $150.00 to widen our window for pick up. They then dispatched a truck for pick up when they had been told numerous times that we would not be available. I found that very deceitful as they had actually called me a couple of days before to let me know there was a truck available in our time frame to pick up our vehicle but the car would be dropped off two hours away from outr home. I told her that that wouldn't work for us and she said she would continue to work on it and call me back. Well lo and behold no phone call and they dispatched anyways knowing we weren't available. I even had to call the driver to let him know as at this point I did not trust this company. They have refused to refund my $249.00. They have every excuse in the book. I noticed on their site that they are so proud to be shipping million dollar vehicles. There 4 1/2 star rating is a fallacy. I wish I had come to Yelp first rather than looking at "paid for" google reviews. Please do not use this company. You have been warned.

On April 23rd, they picked up my vehicle in Fort Myers, FL at 9:30 at night with a tow truck because the auto transport company never picked it up from us. Maybe it is just luck of the draw but when dealing with a company like this that brokers transportation like this I guess sometimes your going to be assigned a driver that makes you so untrusting of the process that you end up paying an exorbitant amount just to cancel. So $250 down the drain because their driver didn't want to pick the car at our home because he didn't think his truck would fit. Nevermind our neighborhood has semi's in it multiple times a day. The emails afterwards about how they charged me a cancelation fee but want me to consider them again in the future are just icing on the cake. Recommend to friends and family? I wouldn't recommend them to my enemies.

I tried to use Montway to ship my car and after going through the entire exercise of booking with them they called me the next day only to tell me they could not use my credit card because I was suspicous and insisted on an ACH payment. This is not the #1 auto transport company to work with.

Our vehicle was damaged in transport through a transport company chosen by Montway, and is being held hostage in various storage yards in LA area with GPS disabled. Montway worked hand in hand with Pacific Auto Transport Inc in vetting, selecting, vouching and then insisting the carrier, not the consumer, had the right to write damages on the bill of lading at delivery, which itself was never given to us to mark damages. Go online and try to find a review of Pacific Transport Inc of Glendale California. None exists we found. There are a lot with similar names in other locations, but nothing with an exact match. So much for Montway's vetting. Montway's site, upon which we relied, is full of deceptive falsehoods such as its careful vetting of shipping carriers, its own insurance carrier information and having the consumer being presented with a bill of lading to mark damages for delivery. We found the principal(s) of the carrier had six a figure fraud lien in addition to tax liens and bankruptcies. In our online searching, we found the fraud lien comes from a situation where the principal set up a fake dental laboratory and he and associates dressed as dental lab technicians to defraud companies into providing financing for a non- existent dental laboratory. They went to the extreme length of wearing white lab coats, medical type shield eyeglasses and pretended to work on tooth molds and conduct dental procedures. The lien in this case has same name and address as carrier principal. Good luck in collecting for damages. The carrier said when confronted with this information "whether true or not." Montway also interfered with a drop off agreement with the carrier by improperly inserting themselves to obtain releases for Montway and statements to muzzle online reviews by us of Montway. Montway continued its deceptive practices with respect to the consumers online review rights by lifting out of context a section from the very federal law allowing consumer to make online reviews. We say STAY AWAY FROM MONTWAY

Somehow, A_aZ_n can track millions of tiny packages on a global basis, yet Montway has NO idea where an entire CAR is in its national shipping network . . . result? One hour notice of location and pick-up. Very inconvenient not knowing where or when your car is arriving.



And one would expect the car to be covered with highway dust on an open transport . . . but inside? Yes, when you ship, ask them to close the vehicle's windows when they load the car. Otherwise your seats, carpet, dash and crevices will have traces of every construction site, rain storm and road dust strewn about the interior.

I have used Montway several times over the years as I am active duty and move often, and all over the world. Past experiences have been satisfactory. My most recent experience however was not. They did the old Bait and Switch Manuever and completely destroyed my plans and reservations I had made for my international move back the US. I booked my shipment at a price of $1949, but told Montway I had to get back to them on the dates for pickup as I was coordinating an international move for my family and pets. When I came back to Montway I shared my concern that I would not have a 5 day window for pickup. I was then offered a guaranteed pickup date for $2099. that means that if I paid $150 more, I could know the exact day the driver would be there, instead of leaving those 5 days open for what worked best for the driver. (with the 5-day window, the driver would confirm a day eventually, but in this case knowing sooner was better and well worth the $150).



I booked the $2099 guaranteed pickup day that was offered by Montway and then continued to make all other arrangements around that day. That includes international flights for 4 people and 2 dogs, hotels in 3 locations, rental cars in 2 locations, and more. 4 days after I booked my shipment, Montway called and said they had misquoted me and I would have to pay $2799 for my guaranteed pick-up date. Unfortunately, I did not have more than that one day open in my schedule after booking all other travel arrangements. Even before, I didn't have 5 days.



Long story short Montway would not honor their original price quoted to me. The price that I assumed was set in stone once we both agreed and made the booking. So now, my vehicle will stay in storage until I can figure out a different plan.



Montway did say I could have someone else turn the truck over at pick-up, but I don't have anybody there. They also said they could sign a waiver allowing them to pick it up without a person there. But wasn't going to leave my 1949 classic pickup unlocked and unattended. In the end, Montway failed to fulfill the contract that both parties agreed to.

They are a middle man and hired a company that tried to pick up my car three days before the pickup date and then got someone that threatened to abandon my car because they drained the battery and took it off the truck. I had to pay for a tow truck and charging station out of pocket and then they were unresponsive for a whole day and then the company couldn't even get ahold of the driver. So then I thought they actually did abandon it. They showed up the next day without a warning call like they were supposed to a day later. I would never hire them again.

I went to get a quote online and now I get berated by several calls, emails, and text messages a day. Not only that, their website brags about having such a high rating "from Google Reviews" but I have yet to find a review on google reviews saying anything about them. Sketchy and annoying. Maybe I would've used their service, but the constant interruptions through my day turned me off.



DO NOT get a quote from them unless you fully intend on using them or else you will bombarded with constant calls and texts.

Never again!

The trucker they hired damaged my oil pan and exhaust. Both refuse to pay damages. Their "claims department " simply denies the claim and tells you to talk to the trucker. The trucker does the same. I'll NEVER use MONTWAY AGAIN!

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! Montway gave me a ridiculous transportation company. Both Montway and T Transportation have been a headache until the delivery of my vehicle. A lot of lies and excuses were given to me regarding the delayed delivery of my vehicle from Nevada to Florida. The sheriff had to be involved in the delivery. I added $150 for this transaction with Montway, and in the end, I had to pay an additional car rental in Florida because of the delays. Montway will lure you that the carrier wants an additional price. It's the kind of greedy business that Montway does. KARMA will get to them soon!

Emily Hernandez we had a horrible experience with them just a couple weeks ago. People don't realize Montway is a broker, not the company that actually transports the car. They put the job on a load board and take a huge cut of the cost. We ended up canceling after two drivers accepted the job and then declined later. (Car was not drivable and Montway knew that.) They refused to refund all the money (even though we shouldn't have even been charged yet.) They didn't follow their own policy regarding a refund. And they didn't respond to my email or my son's when we questioned them about the refund. My son is currently disputing the charge with his bank. I know a lot of people have had good experiences with Montway, but not us.

We used this service to move our car through several States ( about 2000 miles). We used their normal scheduling option which has a 7 days window (additional charge if one needed a specific date). The process was done very carefully by documenting the inside and outside of the car and a report on the condition and milage. Delivery at destination was prearranged on an agreed on date. Notification of arrival was given prior to actual delivery. Our pick up and delivery processes went smoothly and as promised. The total fee was reasonable and was about 30% less than other average quotes. Overall we were pleased with their service.

Montway made promises and did not deliver. They promised a 2-car trailer and sent a 9-car trailer that could not get within 2 miles of my house. The driver was extremely rude to me and stated that Montway "only paid him $600" to transport my car from TN to FL on his 9-car trailer and he "did not want to do this anyway." Unbelievable. Steer clear of Montway Transport!

I could always get an agent on the phone or a call back in 15 minutes. I paid final payment to driver via Zelle since I was 2800 miles from drop off location.
Driver was polite and courteous to my Mom.

we used MONTWAY twice in last 9 months. both for my sons car across country. everything went smoothly and easy.
The first time we didn't pay extra for a guaranteed pick up time and the second time (we were moving back to Colorado from NY) and we paid a few hundred more to have a guaranteed day they would pick up. with all the stress of moving and coordinating dates it was worth it to pay extra to have a specific day they were coming to get the car otherwise it's a window of a few days. since we were driving in our car we also didn't want his car to arrive before us so that was the most stressful part. but they were thorough in looking over the car both times and everything went great. I would recommend MONTWAY and would use them again if needed. it was better than one of us driving another car 1600 miles.

I found Montway auto transport excellent to deal with, their pricing was competitive, service by phone & email was excellent. I had the pleasure of starting this process with Neil and dealt with many staff members. After completing payment I was contacted within 3-4 days by dispatcher to pick up my car and bike both done separately no issues. My car only took 13 days to reach Honolulu no issues what so ever. My bike took about seven or eight weeks as the shipping is little more complicated I was told minimum of 35 days for the bike but I didn't mind waiting. I would definitely use Montway Auto Transport again for shipping my bikes and cars ...

Had contracted the transportation of 3 vehicles from the east coast to west coast. The vehicles were damaged upon arrival with scratches , dents and 1 mustang had 79 more miles on it than when loaded. I complained and they stated it's not heir fault subed to El Jero it's their problem . Will never recommend or use Montway auto transport or recommend to active duty TDY , PCS or government employees.

If I could give lower rating I would. I fell for use a broker I'm had been told not too. I paid up front stupid me. Was promised car would be picked up between April 19-21. Was then promised it would be picked up on 25th was not. Third company picked up on 26th was told it would be delivered on 30th. 29th driver called to say truck broke down. Had to call numerous times with numerous negative upsetting conversations with broker and trucking companies. Finally delivered on May 7th a week late, I live alone had to rent a car for another week total $400 extra, Had to use Uber twice for another 38 dollars due to delay. I'm a 73 year old women on social security in poor health. I feel I should have received some financial appropriate compensation from broker since they took money and stated trucking companies were top notch and reliable. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER JUST WANT MONEY.

Crappy service, zero communication, unprofessional truck drivers that will soil your interior with their oily overalls. No apologies, no discounts for saying one thing and completely doing another totally against my contract and wishes. Wow. Does it get any worse?
I read a review where a guy was going north out of florida in January. Paid $1700.00. That is a total ripoff because all the trucks are heading south full in January (bringing snowbirds out of the cold). Nobody is headed north. That guy paid over 2X the going rate and still hated the unprofessional service.
I guess it pays to read reviews.
I'm going with a small one man company next time so my file is not lost in the shuffle of some big organizations that simply just can't hire good help and now they are overwhelmed I guess. Sad.
Terrible experience guys. I don't mind writing it on here.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!. they left me without a transport after booking a month in advance. they kept telling me a truck would be arranged until I had one day left before I had to fly back. I even called their management who assured me someone would be coming. with one day left I got fed up and called another company who got me a truck in 2 hours. they came, were so professional and it was an amazing experience with this other company. DO NOT EVER USE MONTWAY IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR TRANSPORTED. they are a joke an sham and unreliable!!!! I

I will stress again to those looking for a carrier. Do not do a third party, go directly to the carrier themselves to book. Having a middle man, or third party that doesn't help u out takes out alot of headache. Especially whwn one is just money hungry with poor customer service, that only want the dollar and not in it for consumer.

Isnt it sad you hire a company to deliver your vehicle and peace of mind and you have to involve the police to get the service of delivering your vehicle.

There was problem both on the pick up and the delivery. My vehicle was not picked up on an agreed to date and time, and the delivery was more than 24 hours late.
Both times, Montway had trouble reaching the driver.
To add to that, the transport could not deliver the vehicle to either location, because it was too big to get it down the street.
My son in law lost wages having to wait for a pickup because I had to leave. Montway didn't care.
However, we used Montway the previous year, and none of these problems occurred.
At least my vehicle suffered no damage.
I will look for a different company next year.

Worst vehicle shipping experience of my life. I paid $1700 to have my BMW M3 shipped from Florida to Tennessee with a guaranteed pickup and delivery dates, on a closed carrier. I was optimistic based on their positive reviews and efficient quote and scheduling process.

I received a text on the day of pickup that a truck would be at my house by 5pm to pick up the vehicle. Instead, an open carrier arrived at 6:30, but the driver apologized for the delay due to traffic and promised that the vehicle would be transferred to a closed carrier for the trip to Tennessee. That's fine, things happen and I knew Montway said an open carrier was possible for pickup.

The trouble started three days later when I got a call my vehicle would be delivered in Nashville that evening. However, I confirmed with Montway multiple times that I would not be in town until four days later and paid extra for delayed delivery. The dispatcher on the phone could care less and said the truck would need to drop off the vehicle by the next morning at the latest. Panicking, I was prepared to drive overnight or fly on a moment's notice to pick up my car, as the dispatcher provided no alternative.

I then called Montway HQ for assistance and after waiting on hold for nearly 30 minutes was told they would be able to arrange to store the vehicle in an open lot in Nashville. This experience ruined my evening and the lack of concern or communication from Montway was absolutely pathetic.

The next morning, I called to confirm the vehicle was at the storage lot and guess what - it wasn't! The rep said they would drop it off now - I have no idea why they told me differently the night before. I had to hand hold Montway every step of the way.

The cherry on top came when I arrived at the storage lot (30 minutes away from my new home, so much for door to door service) outside of Nashville to see my car parked in a muddy storage lot, outside, being rained on. The complete opposite condition I was expecting it in when I paid $1700 for closed carrier delivery. On top of the lot, the Montway driver forgot my key in his truck after he dropped off the car! I spent another three hours waiting at the lot for the driver to finally return with my key. What an experience.

While the car was delivered in good condition, I noticed that 3 miles had been added to the odometer. While this may seem negligible to some, there is absolutely 0 reason why more than 1 mile should be added to a car when it is shipped 'door to door'. This only means that someone took my car on a little joyride somewhere along the journey, which is a complete violation of my personal properly.

I regret ever using this joke of a company and would give them negative stars if I could. When I brought up my concerns to the Montway team, they gave me a $400 refund after a week of back and forth, which is pathetic given that I still paid far beyond what an open carrier transport would be without a guaranteed delivery date. I'm glad my car arrived in one piece, but I would not recommend anyone use this service if you care about your car, your sanity, and your hard earned money.

I got lucky with the company who was assigned to pick up my car for transport across the country. It was YMA Express based in Florida. The driver was super cool and the woman who was setting up everything was very communicative and responsive whenever i texted her with questions. My experience with them was 10/10. The driver was on time with all the ETAs I was provided, to the dot. They said he'd be here by 11am, and was actually here at 11 on the dot. Pretty impressed. Car was taken Tuesday and came to me on Saturday morning as promised

However this review is of course for Montway. I didn't have much communication with them, especially for the pick up date. I was supposed to be notified 24 hrs prior to pick up that a carrier was assigned, however I wasn't notified till day of, 2 hours prior so I had to rush and pack my car to be taken. Thankfully YMA understood my situation and gave me an extra hour to prepare.

I would've given 5 stars if Montway did their part on that, which put me in an inconvenient spot.

TIP FOR EVERYONE: put an Apple AirTag in your trunk so you can track its location along the way. Helped me with peace of mind 100%

We just just used Montway Auto to ship a car feon NJ to CA and had a mixed experience.

Pros- They delivered our car in perfect condition and the price did not change from their original quote.

Cons- They missed their original 5 day pickup window, missed their 5 day drop off window. then missed two revised dates. in the end they were about 6 days behind their original latest drop date and it took 3 weeks from pickup in NJ to CA. They advertise door to door service but on both ends called to say they had to pickup and drop on major nearby roads with alot of traffic because the streets were too narrow even though the streets are very wide so i cant imagine they ever pickup at a house. The drivers were friendly but didnt speak english which made it tough to communicate. We received email communications along the way but overall the status of our car was a a bit of a mystery right up until the day before drop off.

They suck.

I paid 300 extra to have guaranteed pickup. NY to Florida was 1600. Expensive compared to other quotes. but I heard they were a good company so I went with them.

Day of guaranteed pickup they said they would be there by noon. At 2 I called and spoke to a rep who said look outside he should be there any minute. Very funny clown.

Called again at 4 got an ETA for a few hours.

9pm they showed up.

It's not Montway, it's an LLC called midway transport.

Three days later GMC onstar send me an alert car is having engine trouble.

Later that day(today) I called Montway 15 minutes on hold and they have no information.

The car had been broken into. They stole the catalytic converter.

Montway doesn't know where my car is, what's wrong with it, when it will be delivered. They aren't responsible bc they are moving it another company is doing that.

They tell me they will call me back, I ask when my car will be delivered. She replies she doesn't know, that I paid 300. for guaranteed pickup not delivery.

I ask what time they will call.

I don't know, she replies.

Give them an 80k car and they could care less.

I had to ship my car from Pittsburgh to California, they gave me a quote of about 1530, but did not find a driver for over a week after the first available date. In the end I was leaving Pittsburgh and really needed this car shipped so I called them to let them increase my quote by up to 200 if that helps with finding a driver. They sent the bid out gradually and immediately found a driver the next day and I ended up with 1650. I think they should have just quoted higher otherwise they are really falling short on the customer service. On another note, although I already had an order confirmation from them but their sales kept calling me to ship me car...

Anyway, car arrived without damages so it was ok.
