Moving Connection

Reliability and customer service are so hard to come by these days. These gentleman communicated so well, were thoughtful about different aspects of the move and gentle with furniture and new hardwood floors. Please don't cheap out on a tip. When someone works this hard, they deserve to be recognized. If you can afford a mover, you can afford a generous tip. And give them a beer while you're at it. Be a good human.

Even though the crew were "nice guys", they did NOT take care of our household items. They neglected to place blankets around any of our furniture, washer, dryer, and our freezer prior to them using the shrink wrap. Additionally, these guys did NOT place any blankets on the floor of the truck before placing furniture down. They also placed heavy items on top of furniture, washer, dryer, and freezer which (of course) dented & scratched up these pieces. Finally, these guys did NOT ensure ALL items were secured in place with bungee cords/rope. Please reconsider using Moving Connections if you care about the outcome of your possessions.

Customer service They seem to just want money and they avoid questions regarding money. He just kept repeating four hour min instead of the price. Make sure you get the price. It was a male thy answered the phone he states that the rates in the summer are different than fall.

Moved SLC to South Jordan. We had planned on having just the big items moved. But Lance and Chase were so absurdly efficient, they managed to move everything we had boxed up (dozens and dozens of boxes) along with every piece of furniture we owned. We thought it would take all day to do the large items. Instead, it took 7 hours to do pretty darn well everything I hadn't moved the day before.

If you're thinking of moving stuff yourself to save money, forget it. It took me hours to do what Chase and Lance managed in 30 minutes. Between the UHaul rental and mileage, if I had it to do over, I could have saved my money and my back by having these guys do it all.

Do not use this company! Read the other reviews stating damaged items.They damaged our piano, dryer, dresser and entry table. They have taken no responsibility to fix these items. I sent them images of everything they damaged. They told us someone would come look at the damaged items but they never did. Beware of them and save yourself the stress of using this company.

On a postitive note...Boston and Henry were friendly and moved fast. Boston went the extra mile and helped me catch my chickens that ran off.

We had them move items from a house in Draper and a house in Riverton. They charge $90 an hour for 2 people which is reasonable. Be aware that they may pad their drive time estimates. They call themselves a full service moving company but that is not very accurate. They showed up to my Riverton home with barely more than a screw driver and a hammer. I had to run to Lowe's to get a torex bit so we could remove the refrigerator door.

Some of our stuff wasn't boxed so they shoved it all in a box with no caution or care. I'm missing items and we have a few damaged items. I have a side table that has a large chunk out of it. My dryer was damaged and a piano my mother willed to me is gouged. I paid them $2000 dollars for them to damage my property and lose items.

BEWARE: After they deliver your posessions they immediately ask you to sign a form. The form says you received all your goods undamaged. My wife signed it. DO NOT SIGN THEIR FORM. This is their game. When you realize a day later that some things are damaged and you call them they will say, "Oh we sent that form into the insurance company. It's an uphill battle at this point". They will then offer to send someone out to the house to check on the damage. This person will never come and they will have all kinds of excuses why he couldn't make it.

I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. Please save yourself the grief and learn from my negative experience.

I was very happy with the two men who showed up to help me load my truck for a move from Utah to Arizona. They were polite, hardworking, and easy to talk to.

However, the real test of their work as movers is the state my things were in when they emerged from the moving truck. And on those grounds, Moving Connections failed.

I had an antique dining table that was very badly damaged--two legs snapped right off it. My kitchen table was also damaged, as was a bookshelf.

I have moved back and forth across the country several times. I know that furniture can be scratched and nicked in a move. But never before have I had a single piece of furniture rendered completely unusable after a move. And when Moving Connections loaded my truck, I ended up with three pieces completely unusable.

In addition, a box of beloved dishes were badly smashed. The manager told me when I called that because they had not packed the box, they would accept no liability for the dishes. But I know how to pack dishes so they don't break. This box had a huge hole gouged into its side--which makes it clear that the problem was the way the box was loaded onto the truck, not the way the contents of the box was packed.

I contacted Moving Connections about the damage to my things. They told me to email them and to send photos. I did, and followed up a few days later when I still didn't hear from them. I still have not gotten a response from them, which is why I am finally writing this review.

All told, Moving Connections caused nearly a thousand dollars in damage to my property--but they won't even respond to an email they asked me to send them.

Stay away from this company if you value your belongings.
