Mr. Car Shipper

I trusted this firm based on numerous conversations and emails with their staff, but I ended up with thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to my vehicle and the company refuses to take responsibility

We made the mistake of moving our car from LA to Atlanta. I should have done more research. They call center they have is unresponsive as soon as you book the delivery. Mr CARSHIPPER used the WORST trucking company ever! The dispatcher from the trucking company texted me 3 days before pick up to confirm the pick up date and time. She had me call her to confirm which I did. We set a date and time and I thought everything was fine. She called me 2 other times to confirm. When the dates and time came it did not happen like she said in the other calls. I kept texting the truck company and calling but no answer. We had booked movers to move our furniture into the moving truck but couldn't because our car was in the way. I tried calling Mr car shipper but they pushed the blame to the trucking company. The driver finally came. I asked to call the dispatcher from his phone since the dispatcher would not answer my calls. She did answer and said she was sorry she made the mistakes. They took my car and did the same thing with delivery and kept changing dates and times. When the trucking company finally came they would not come near my house and I had to go extremely far to get the car at 1am. I told mr car shipper about the experience and they did not care. They said they were separate from the trucking company



Please do your research. Do not use Mr car shipper. They are rude and use shady cheapy truckers.

We were moving from Orlando, FL to Corvallis, OR. Way in advance we contacted Mr. Car Shipper to find a transport company to pick our car up between May 17-19. When we hadn't heard anything before May 18 we called them. They didn't seem to be concerned that they hadn't found a transport company yet and the numerous times we called them after that they always told us they would find one soon. Since they didn't find one before we were flying to OR on the 19th we had to leave it at a friend's house. The transport company they found picked it up on May 29th. Luckily the transport company was much more prompt than Mr. Car Shipper and got the car to us on June 6th. Except for the long delay, lack of communication on their part, and the extra days we had to pay for a rental car everything else was fine.

TLDR: If you don't mind this company not keeping their scheduled pickup time, complete lack of communication or empathy for the customers concern about this, and the extra cost of a rental car while waiting for your car this may be the company for you.

Great experience. Very professional and good communication between Company and driver throughout the process. All accomplished in a little over 24 hours from Fl to Pa. Highly recommend. Thanks Mr Car Shipper and thumbs up to Nick , my transporter.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with Mr Car Shipper--from CA to NC. The car was picked up 5 days late and delivered 2 days early. We had to scramble to make arrangements for someone in each state to handle pickup and delivery. The driver was one of the most unprofessional people we've ever had to deal with. He constantly whined, begged, and complained to us about his work load and made demands for us to accommodate him because of it. He didn't have a copy of our contract and some of his demands were contrary to it. Absolutely unreal. The shipping company was George & Saba Express, LLC.

We moved our cars cross country from near Philadelphia to Phoenix, AZ. Great service. Our cars were picked on on Wednesday eve and delivered to Phoenix on Sunday , Dinner time. The driver kept in touch with us the day of arriving, He called us at lunch time and said he would be in our neighbor around 6 pm. Sure enough he arrived at 5pm. Due to the size of the trailer and not being able to make the turns in the neighbor, we found a common parking lot which happened to be Home Depot right around the corner from us. The driver was well aware of where the Home Depot was and without issue, he had our cars off the trailer by the time we got there to pick them up. The cars arrived the way they left our home . Kudos to the driver!!! No problems, issues at all. He was very friendly, & courteous. Thank You Mr Car Shipper!!!

We were moving across the country and got referred by PODS to come to this vehicle shipper, and booked our vehicle to be picked up a month in advance.It was not made clear to us at the beginning that there was a possibility our vehicle might not be picked up at all because no carriers are available. They day we were leaving to our new home we were informed that no carriers were coming to get our vehicle in the 3-day pick up window we were provided. Dispatch has only told me that they will let me know when they have a carrier and has given me no projected dates. Now our vehicle is sitting on the other side of the country and we are waiting for any updates. Don't know what to do.

I used Mr Car Shipper to ship my car from Massachusetts to California. My experience was NOT pleasant mainly because the delay of car pick up date by 4 days which is the day I need to depart from the State. The biggest headache was Mr Car Shipper communicated the actual pick up date 2 days before my departure. I called everyday and they kept telling me "we don't know yet". It was a nightmare trying to figuring out the logistics. For the premium price Mr. Car Shipper charge, this is not the quality of service I can appreciate.

Called the call center. Lady on the phone could not hear me well and could not get my name or email address correct so she just hung up on me instead of transferring me someone else to assist. When I called back the next lady identified herself as a supervisor and laughed at me when I told her what had happened. Absolutely horrible service.

Pros:
1. Car shipped fast once it is on the way
2. No issue loading/unloading
3. Flexible pick up. If you can't be there during pick-up, you can leave the key to someone else.

Cons
1. Very passive customer communication. We had to call everyday to find out when the carrier will arrive.

I want to be honest and fair, so I let some time pass before reviewing. Start with the good/OK, bottom line, I got my truck, but they DID NOT MEET their own parameters for success. Now the bad: (1.) The truck was supposed to be (admittedly, not a guarantee) shipped within a 3 day window. Instead, it shipped after 7 days, which put me in a bind because it was delivered mid-day on Christmas eve. (2.) Their customer service explanation for this was basically, "I'm sorry, but we never guaranteed 3 days." (3.) What I found more SLEAZY, is that they use the age-old sales technique of time pressure...if you watch a video of the owner telling you how good their service is and how bad the competition is, THEN BOOK within 30 minutes, they GUARANTEE a top load (the benefits of this is explained in detail in the video). The driver arrived and the truck was on bottom, which I confirmed was like that from MI to CA. (4.) When I advised Mr. Shipper of this, the offered no response other than to say my top load fee would be refunded, which it was. Not even an "I'm sorry." When I asked how that constitutes a guarantee, I got nothing in return. Basically, it's a time-pressure sales technique with bait-and-switch - DISAPPOINTED.
