NAO Auto
Customer Reviews
NAO auto transported my vehicle through Montway Auto Transport broker. While I am aware of frequent delays of this business, they showed up a week after the first intended date, and they refused to pick up calls when I called them to ask about the schedule. Instead, I received text messages from the dispatcher who apparently seemed too busy or irritated to provide any answer. The dispatcher replied saying that they would call back or let me know about any details, only followed by absolute silence.
After the car was picked up, it took them two weeks to deliver the car. There was a snowstorm that caused this delay, which makes sense, but again no one was there to inform me. I got in touch with a driver a few times, who provided me with wrong delivery dates. Then finally when they delivered, they gave me a half hour notice. It was a different driver, from which I presume that the driver stopped by their depot in Washington or someplace else. There should have been enough time for them to notify me sooner. I had to stop what I was doing and rush back home to receive it.
Overall, horrifying experience with NAO auto, and I would strongly advise those who are assigned this company when shipping cars directly or through a broker agency, to think again.
These guys are horrible and unfair to the industry. While they intercept vehicles to prevent other transporters from picking up the load, they leave your car sitting in their company lot before it has a driver for that route. They lie to their custo0mers and overwork their drivers and have raggedy transport trucks.
These guys are the worst!!! They took my Audi S5 for a joy ride! 57 extra miles on my car after it FINALLY showed up! I used Trinity Moving and Storage out of Florida to move my home and car from Seattle Washington to Grand Rapids, Michigan. They recommended NAO Auto to move my car. The car left three days before the movers came to pack up my home. I was told 12 days max to get the car to Michigan. Twenty two days later, my car shows up. This is 4 days after the movers arrive with the contents of my home. Calling and calling NAO Auto, they rarely answer the phone and you end up with voice mail, but nobody EVER returned my call. Days went by and my car is missing. My son decided to call and he left a voicemail informing them we were going to report the car as stolen. The next time he called back, they answered on the first ring... It appears they "recognized" the phone number and answered. They gave him a story about the having driver issues and that the car would be delivered the following day. They gave him the drivers phone cell phone number, which went to a voicemail that was "full" and you couldn't leave a message. My car finally arrives and there is mud all over the inside of the drivers door and muddy footprints in both driver and passenger side floor mats. There was an extra 57 miles on the car. If I could leave a negative 5 rating here I would! Worst experience ever!!!
Our car was picked scheduled to be picked up by NAO Auto in Indianapolis and delivered to Seattle, WA by NAO Auto. It was scheduled to be delivered 7 days later, on a Friday. The driver was under contract to contact us 24 hours before arrival to schedule the logistics of the pickup. Therefore, we were expected some sort of call by Thursday at some point. Thursday came and went and no call came. By Friday with still no call, I contacted them and, after some difficulty, finally got through to the dispatcher. He said that the driver was running behind and would be delivering the car either late that evening on Friday, or, more likely, on Saturday morning. He said the driver would call me directly to let me know what was going on. However, after not receiving any calls by Friday evening, I again tried calling dispatch but could not get in touch with anyone. Saturday came still with no contact from the company. I tried and tried and tried again to get in touch with the company, but no one would ever answer the phone. Saturday went with no contact and no car. Sunday came and went the same way. Tried calling, no answer, still no car. It was not until Monday morning that I was able to contact somebody from the company who said that the driver "accidently" dropped off my car at their facility on Friday and "forgot" to deliver to my house. They then said they would have a driver finally deliver it to my house later that day. However, when they came to deliver, they only gave me 10 minutes notice before showing up instead of 24 hours notice, so I had to scramble to make sure some one was there to pick up the car (as I was at work at the time!) So, finally, 4 days after initial scheduled delivery of the car, I get my car, but there is a HUGE crack and dent in the back right fender. So I called them back to file a damage claim and complain. Once again, they are very hard to contact. After 2 days of calling I finally get through to file a claim. However, after 2 weeks from filing the claim I have heard nothing back and I absolutely cannot reach them at all.
Do NOT use this company! They are shady, nearly impossible to contact, dishonest, and will most likely damage your car. Search for NAO Auto on google and see that others have had the same issues with this company (including legal action against the company). If you want your car delivered safely, on time, with good communication, then STAY AWAY from this company.
This company was hired by Auto Driveaway in Indianapolis to ship our car and we did not choose this company ourselves. If you have any choice, you should avoid them.
