national auto shipping was supposed to pick up my cars on Friday and we were leaving for our cross country move Saturday. They never showed up and they did not answer our calls emails, until Monday. We had to find another company to ship our cars and had to delay our move 3 days. they suck don't waste your money because once you pay the deposit they will not give you back your money.

All went well until I received the shipping order. After I paid my deposit by credit card, they let me know the balance was due on arrival...which is fine. I found out the balance had to be paid in cash once they sent me the shipping order - they would not accept a credit card for the balance. This might be standard for the industry, but for people who have never shipped a vehicle before, that is crucial information.

It took a couple extra days to pull together the cash necessary to pay the driver (either cash or cashier's check).

Not a great way to do business.

Do not ship with this company, they are dishonest. I got two quotes to ship 2 classic cars from Iowa to Montana, one was for an open trailer and the other was for an enclosed trailer. Since both cars were over 60 years old I opted to pay the extra $700 for an enclosed trailer. When the driver showed up with both cars on an open trailer covered in bugs I told him that was not what I ordered and I was deducting $700, he said if I didn't pay him in full he wouldn't give me the keys. I paid him in full and immediately called their office, I got the guy I gave the order to his name is Manny. Manny confirmed it was supposed to be an enclosed trailer and he would have his boss call me to resolve it. Three days later still no call so I called and got a woman who seemed sympathetic and said she would have someone call me to resolve it. It's now been 30 days and several calls by me, I've never once talked to anyone with the power to fix this. Bait and switch is illegal and immoral, run don't walk away from these thieves.

DO NOT use this place. They delivered my brand new bike with strap marks all over it and refused to fix it. Be warned

This company told me my car would be picked up Monday. When I called as is was getting dark they told me Tuesday. On Tuesday they said TOMORROW!! When I tell a customer a day that is the day I do the job. If I am late or not able to complete the job then "I" will call and update the customer. They do not call you... only respond to your calls and keep responding with TOMORROW. I am using another company called Montway Auto Transport which so far hasn't picked up my car but looks like a much more reputable company.

DO NOT USE!!! The drivers smoked cigarettes and marijuana inside of my car. It reeked and I can still smell traces of it after getting my car detailed. I feel like a fool for tipping the two drivers before my car arrived. They likely used the money to buy the marijuana.

The drivers then DROVE my car for hundreds of miles. I gave them a car with half a tank of gas in it. It was EMPTY when the car arrived (see attached photo). I paid over a thousand dollars to SHIP the car, NOT to drive it!!!!

Final note, the woman I spoke to at the Dania Beach, FL location was horrible. I asked her when my car would be picked up and she snapped on me. The moment she was asked to put minimal effort into her job, she began to yell and berate me. Of course, if you are impersonal and unwilling to put in minimum effort, that's probably why you work at National Auto Shipping.

DO NOT USE National Auto Shipping! Their contracts are not worth the paper they are printed on. They are more interested in using their terms and conditions to swindle customers out of money than actually shipping your car.

- I scheduled a car pickup 40 days in advance, and confirmed pickup 2 days prior. ON THE DAY OF, I had to call them so they could inform me my car would not be getting picked up. The rep was very quick to quote their terms and conditions which apparently allow this behavior.

- They could pick the car up as scheduled, but wanted an extra $300 to do so. This is extortion.

- A supervisor offered to let me cancel for a full refund. TRICK! When I cancelled they kept $150 from my deposit. Terms and Conditions again. They didn't even have another pick up date to offer and they STILL kept my money!

If you MUST use this company, read the contract before signing! National Auto Shipping is a bad faith operator and shipping your car is not their priority - quoting contract terms back to you is! I am honestly not even sure they ship cars at all, for all I can tell they operate a boiler room, suckering customers in then finding ways to keep deposits while cancelling service.

I will never use this company again. Where do I start and how do I keep this brief...

I selected my pickup window, completed my form, and paid the $195 deposit. No additional information was sent about what you can pack in your car, if you need to leave the keys, if you have to meet the driver at another location, if you must be present, etc. Mind you, I've never shipped a car before, so I had to send multiple emails to get basic information, but yet I found out later that the information varied depending on which department you asked. The pickup days came and went. No one called me, and no one would answer my calls or emails. I had to fly out of state, so I was panicking and calling/emailing during my layovers. I finally got ahold of someone 3 days later, and they said the driver got stopped and delayed, to which they had no explanation as to why this info was not relayed to me. The employee said there was an option to re-route another driver THE DAY BEFORE, but she didn't call and ask me because "she knew I wouldn't want to pay extra." Considering I needed my car shipped two days prior, I asked for the driver to be re-routed and for the return of my deposit, but she said she could not return the deposit.

This entire process was unnecessarily stressful and costed me more money than I was planning because of a driver issue/company mess up. There is not 24/7 customer support, and the lack of communication all around is absolutely unacceptable.

Notes: You have to pay cash on pickup. You may have to meet the driver at a different location for pickup/drop off. You may or may not be able to stuff your car full of belongings if you're moving- I was told 100lbs in the trunk and "light bags" in the backseat but saw a car on my trailer completely packed. SOMEONE HAS TO BE PRESENT AND HAVE KEYS, though they told me I didn't have to be there or need to leave my keys. You supposedly will get a call when the driver is 30 min away for pickup or drop off, but mine never called like he said he would either time, and he also went to a different pickup location than the dispatch team told me he would.

Just do yourself a favor and avoid this headache.

Do not waste your money with them. The sales person Manny promised me 3 days shipping and exact pick up and drop off date and time. However, pick up was not done on the date day promised. After 7 times of phone call, I was able to have an information that my car will be picked up following date and delivered in 6 days instead of 3 days. When you call them you will experience that a former salesperson never answer your call and agent will hang up your call. Do not trust what they are saying. They said the company is not a broker but it turned out IT IS A BROKER especially not trustworthy. You need to know they will charge you 350 dollars of cancellation fee even though you cannot able to send your car that you agreed. Please do not waste of your time and money with this trash

The 6 other companies I called before them either barely spoke English, under quoted me then came in with higher prices, or never returned calls.

National Auto Shipping answered/returned all calls, they shipped the car for the exact amount they quoted me, the car came in perfect shape, and they got the car shipped in 2 days from Michigan to Fort Lauderdale. I have zero complaints and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I think most of these negative reviews are whiners that expect perfection, which you'll never find anywhere.

I had heard many nightmares about auto shippers so was prepared for the worst. Unfortunately, the experience was not great. The car was supposed to be picked up on a Saturday. I had paid for pick up at my home and drop off at my new home. The driver called on Friday stating I had to drop the car off at Miami airport that day because I lived downtown and they could not pick up in my area. I had stated first, he had the wrong day and then that I had paid for pick up at my home. They had the address for weeks so should know where my location was. The driver, Jose, stated he would try to figure it out and would be there at 9 am on Saturday. I appreciated him making the effort to figure out how to pick my car up as I was only in town for a few days to pack up my home and had no time to drive and then Uber back. At 9:15 am on Saturday I called as he had yet to show up. He called back and said he would be another 1-1.5 hours. I stated I would not be there and he proceeded to tell me to be quiet and shut up any time I tried to say anything. He kept yelling how the rain the night before caused him to be behind. I tried to tell him I understood, but he could have called and changed times, but he told me to be quiet. After the last time he told me to be quiet, he said he was cancelling my order. I proceeded to call NAS and they apologized and said the driver was their best driver and would call him. He did end up coming.

When the driver arrived at my new location, he proceeded to state where he was dropping off other cars and how difficult it would be to drop it off at my new home. After dealing with the verbal abuse at pick up, I didn't want to deal with it again. I paid for an Uber to get me to where he was. My car did arrive in good shape and had no issues. However, I proceeded to reach out to customer service because of the verbal abuse I received from the driver. They emailed me apologizing for the issue with a $20 discount which isn't even 2% of the cost.I have spoken with Eve multiple times and left messages for Hannah. I've also emailed Hannah 3 times and not response. I didn't even get the $20 they say they would send. Just seems they really don't care about customer service.
