Customer Reviews
Couldn't ask for a better experience. Driver was running late on pick up but called and let me know so good communications. Shipped our Jeep from Phoenix to Sioux Falls SD. Our son received it and said everything went great on his end as well. Highly recommend Joanne and company!
I want to ship my car North Carolina to Florida, have called them and girl on the phone said fill out the form for a quote on their website, I get NO response. They are leaving $$$ on the table. Filled out the form 3 times
My experience You decide: Unbeknownst to me Steel Toy Carriers used MJ Parker Trucking to transport my 1967 Shelby GT 500 clone, a $140,000 car, from Lees Summit, MO to Annandale, VA. Ken Currier, Steel Toy Carriers owner, steered me away from other carriers by stating he does not broker out cars like other carriers and has a $2 million carrier insurance policy--best in the industry. This convinced me to use his trucking outfit. However, to my dismay, Steel Toy Carriers did not deliver my car as had been agreed. MJ Parker Trucking delivered the car and damaged the clutch in the process. According to their employee as the driver unloaded my car, a heavy rubber burning odor was coming from the front end of my car. The carrier driver believed the odor was from a burned clutch done by his partner. He hoped that the clutch did not burn too long or too much. The car also had fingerprints and sweaty palm prints about the car as if it had been pushed. The lower console was marred and there was a shallow dent on the passenger fender I was unable to photograph but was able to photograph the dent on the driver side front fender.
My e-mail to Ken Currier complaining about this event remained unanswered until today. Ken Currier baited me and then opted out the job and now it appears has no liability from his mentioned $2 million carrier insurance policy. I am going to have the clutch checked for the extent of the damage and possible replacement.
Today July 3rd Ken Courrier by e mail stated that he did not broker the job but gave the complete move to a coop partner as he personally could not. In addition he stated that I could not go legally against his insurance since Not a Steel Toy BOL or a Steel Toy transporter was used. He stated that I refer my claim to MJ Parker and did not disclose his insurance carrier upon my request. I located his liability carrier on line as well as that of MJ Parker as they also failed to disclose upon request as well.
My response to Ken Currier on July 3rd: I see. You did not notify me in this regard (gave the complete move to a coop partner ) but you did put out there your 2 million insurance policy in the effort to get my business and are now stating it does not apply and led me to believe your company not a coop partner would be doing the job.
I used this transport company is 2017 to ship my brand new car from ohio to Las Vegas, I flew my brother in town to pick it up on the day it said it would be delivered and it didn't not arrive until two days later with absolutely no communication or updates from the company. I had to pay 2 extra days for my rental and cancel and rebook my brother's flight on top of the transport cost. Against my better judgement, I decided to contact this company again to ship 2 of my vehicles. I requested a few quotes to weigh my options. Ultimately, I was overcharged and disrespected by the extremely rude owner Joanne Parker. She was incredibly rude even after I've spent nearly $5k with her company. She then cancelled my payment in fear that I would dispute the charges (which I've never done in my life) and now I have to pay cash once my cars are delivered. Mind you she did this AFTER both my cars were picked up, otherwise I would cancel but now my hands are tied and have no option but to hope I don't get played even more . This is the worst service I have ever received and it's truly disappointing. I would highly recommend not using this company. I feel horrible and I truly wish I never used this company.
I would highly suggest you use a different company or book directly with the truck drivers and eliminate the middle man and inflated costs all together.
Also, if you would like to see how rude the owner Joanne is, I recommend you read her response to the reviews on here... you'll get a sense of who you will be dealing with.
Excellent, reliable auto transport service. Sent a Panamera from Maryland to So Cal and have nothing but praise. Picked up on Thursday afternoon, delivered on Monday, Memorial Day in the morning.
Extremely friendly drivers that kept me well informed. Car was in perfect condition and would use them again for sure.
There are SO many auto transport companies out there but I knew of someone who had used these guys before so I requested a quote. It was well priced but required a $150 deposit before they even agree to work on your request. I tried to get a hold of the sales rep, Joanne, a number of times because I had some questions on how to securely submit the deposit. When I got her on the phone she accused me of having 'trust' issues which was a huge red flag and completely unprofessional in my opinion. Within MINUTES of me asking for how to verify the deposit once it was submitted, she advised me to take my business elsewhere (which I will definitely do!) Granted, I never actually used Parker Auto for the shipment it self but this experience alone was enough to make me look elsewhere.
I chose Parker because I wanted to do business locally and they have great reviews online. They were not the least expensive quote.
After I submitted my order, Joanne explained I would receive an email once a driver was assigned and had a pick up date. I didn't receive that email with the pickup date (got all the other ones) so my car wasn't ready for the driver, because we weren't expecting him!
As a result, my shipper and I both get scolded by Joanne on the phone! And, I lose my deposit.
I'm giving 2 stars because poor customer service from Parker. They were ready to pickup within a couple business days of my order, but the communication and customer service destroyed this experience. Cost me my deposit, too. They were unapologetic, had no empathy for this customer.
I even had to ASK what to do to get another truck out there! I was told to submit another order online, start over again!
No thanks.
