Customer Reviews
Zero stars if possible. Bought my wife a new KIA. Needed delivery from Colorado to California. Paid a fair price, but other companies offered a hundred less. Should have read the reviews first. They were a day late picking it up, no call from the driver, the car dealer told me. Here it is Friday, my wife is waiting for her new car, no call back from the shipper, no call from the driver, where is our new car. I told her to fully inspect the car if it ever arrives. Beyond upset.
This is not a auto transport company. This is a subcontracting clearinghouse which contracts with unreputable, unreliable, car transport companies.
The The company failed to show up and pick up the vehicle as arranged. When I called them near the end of the business day I was told the driver was in route, 20 minutes away. The company never came. The company never called the dealership where the car was to be picked up. The company never called me.
I dealt with Alison for the brokering of my car shipment. CAA were the ones that actually picked up and delivered my car.
Very simple and easy process through email with lots of detailed information regarding the move, and Alison was very receptive to any questions that I had.
Avoid at all costs.
Awful service bordering on fraudulent business practices. We agreed on a pickup date for my vehicle by contract, which was confirmed multiple times. Five days before the scheduled pick up date a driver calls me and tells me to be ready. I call Patriot Auto Transport and explain that because we are moving, we need my car until the agreed upon date. Our contact at Patriot gave rambling explanations as to how things work in the "transport industry" but finally agreed to honor the contract and send a truck on the agreed upon date.
On the day of the scheduled pick up, no one shows up and I begin to call Patriot. Over the course of the day I am told by our contact at the company that he is on a "conference call" and will get back to me soon with the time for our pickup. Eventually he begins to say that the pickup will likely happen on the next day. After multiple unanswered calls and text messages, the contact informs me that with "just a little more time and a little more money," we may be able to have the car picked up one day late. But he won't be able to confirm even that until he finishes his "conference call." I then ask for a refund and he informs me that "you'll never be refunded ... uh, you'll always be refunded if you're unhappy." I hope this amateurish attempt at humor is not a sign of things to come as I seek my refund. I will be happy to test the resources Patriot Auto Transport has to defend themselves if that becomes necessary.
This is the second time I needed to use a car carrier. I first shipped my car from California to Massachusetts in 2010. I used old employer's relocation company.
This time I was shipping another car to my daughter in California. Researching was frustrating. Website online quotes went two ways...I never heard back or my interaction was not pleasant. Then checking out Yelp I was able to avoid some (that I reached out to originally) and contacted Patriot.
The experience from the moment I contacted them to when my old car arrived in my daughter's driveway was flawless! I couldn't believe it. I met the driver at the Kohl's' shopping center and off he went. The communication, the status, the follow up. Patriot has the recipe for success. If this is what you need...no need to look elsewhere.
