Do NOT recommend. This company makes assurances for pickup windows that they know that they are unable to honor and then blame it on their drivers. Very poor communication, had to call several times and try different numbers to get a hold of someone to get the status of our shipment. Wish I had read their other yelp reviews before picking them. Do not pick this company if you want honest, reputable service, learn from our mistakes!

Portkick was the first to place a bid for our shipment on Uship. From the moment we accepted we were very satisfied. They quoted a reasonable cost and even worked with us on it. As this was our first time shipping a vehicle we were guarded in our expectations, but the whole process turned out to be easy-peasy with Portkick! They provided all the necessary info needed in a clear manner prior to the delivery so we were ready. As it turned out, we received the vehicle 2 days ahead of the estimated arrival date! We were very happy with the carrier driver and our experience as a whole.

To make this simple for those considering Portkick, they're unorganized, unprofessional, misleading, will accept bids for timeframes they can't fulfill and then not answer repeated calls about the delivery or where your car is in the process. Only after having Uship mediate their lack of communication were we told our car would be a week late because they did not have anyone available to drive my car the last 1:10 hr to our home; so my wife had to pickup the car in order to not miss more work. I previously worked with another Uship Carrier, Bell Family Long Haul, who stuck to the requested delivery date, communicated throughout the process, and were friendly to work with. I cannot say the same for Potkick, I would recommend to keep searching.

Do NOT use this company. They hire shippers WITHOUT cargo insurance. My car was damaged by the shipper (another yelp review) and it took months for Portkick to refund my deposit. Regardless, I'm out off $7000 in damages and transport. Portkick does not answer calls and or emails right away. I schedule calls on their time (when I'm on Pacific time) and they don't make their calls out to us. As a broker they should represent the consumer in which they do half heartedly. I question them why it takes them so long to return back to me and they retort that they're busy with other companies or the owner is on vacation. This definitely shows that I as their customer is NOT important. They need to be thorough with their contracts and hiring other companies. They complain to me that other consumers have their issues resolved but it was because the consumers used other shippers that obviously had insurance. Shame on Portkick for doing so.

Thanks!

This is my first time shipping a car (well I actually shipped 2 cars). Portkick rep were very patient and explained everything in detail. There was a slight hiccup when the driver cancelled but Portkick was able to quickly find another driver that fitted our timeframe. Overall, very impressed with the customer service! Our cars arrived nice and well. The new driver even waited a bit longer to accommodate our schedule (because we booked our travel plans according to the first driver's timeline). But the new driver was nice enough to wait and was very courteous!

I had the worst experience with these guys. Rude and unprofessional. They gave me a certain date for my car pick up and then I had to call them 2 days before my scheduled pickup just to find out that they couldnt find anyone. The rep yelled at me and said you can find another company. I ultimately went with amerifrieght who did a great job and picked up the same day. Dont use these guys!

They are a middle man company, do NOT call them or even ask them for a quote, they will lie to you like they did to me, then they will ask you for a $100 deposit on some scammy website BEFORE they even contact the carrier. They promised me $700, and someone by the name of Ryan said he needs to contact the carrier, rude, belligerent, in your face type of guy. Said I need to "sleep on it" before he could talk to me again. Then he went on to say that he needs $200 to sign a contract, and then he went on to say something like, "This is not going to work out, I don't think I can work with you." Then hung up on me. Don't waste your time with ANY middle men.

I had to call my credit card company to dispute the $139 they charged me without delivering a driver for an auto shipment, within my time frame which is before July 20th. Additionally, one of their employees agreed to refund as she knew I was inappropriately charged. In addition, they did not contact me first. Portkick called my friends who had the car who wasn't available the next day to handover the car. We did not agree on that date nor did they offer another immediately. I was told that Ryan Goss prematurely charged my credit card - a deposit fee of $125 plus a non-refundable $14 which they do not tell you but slid it into the agreement. In trying to work it out, I did agree to give Pam, the 22 year old dispatcher, 24 hours to find another driver. If she didn't deliver she would refund me. She told me on Monday, that the refund that she put through on Sunday morning was denied by Matt Guarneri and that she had not received confirmation from the second driver. I was never notified of any other driver hence why I was calling to cancel and book with another company. Be aware! They are crooks.
