DO NOT USE this company. Scammed us out of our money! We have been fighting to get our money back since April! They were supposed to pick our truck up when the transport company got there they said they couldn't do it, said someone else would be there to pick it up the next day kept getting the run around a whole week and a couple days went by and truck still wasnt picked up. Friday it had to be out of the parking lot or it would get towed to a tow yard. Friday comes they still didnt have it picked up called about our refu since they still couldn't get it picked up and we have been getting the run around since then. They say someone will call no one call when you call they say that they cant get a hold of the accounting department I have been calling a couple times a week. Well yesterday called again for a follow up still "can't get a hold of anyone". I called today and the company has blocked my phone from calling as well as husbands. & I know it's blocked cause I called of my work phone as soon as they heard who it was they hung up and that phone is blocked to. We have already started a dispute with the bank. So now I will be calling the better business bureau on tuesday morning and reporting again and will go talk with the courts to find out what actions need to be taken next. I will not give up. This company is not gonna scam us and take our hard earned money. I will leave additional post periodically updating what our outcome is.
I had my car shipped from Maryland to California. Luckily I have a newer Ford which comes with an app that tells you gas mileage, car location, etc. The day after my car was picked up I noticed that my gas was being used (car was obviously being driven). I called the person who picked up my car (Mario) and asked if he was driving my car. He told me it was driven on and off the truck and that it wouldn't need to be driven again. But it had been driven at least 20 miles! The numbers didn't change again after I mentioned it. But when I finally got my car back, I didn't notice it at first, but there was a Verizon back with a receipt for AirPods sitting in my front passenger seat!! He went shopping in my car!
I immediately called Kim Lemuel Lam, the Senior Auto Transport Consultant and the person who coordinated my transport. He said he would "look into it" and "get back to me". He never did. I reached out to him again and heard nothing. I feel absolutely violated. The least they could have done was pay for my gas! My child's belongings were in that car, and that man drove it around to God knows where! Do NOT use them.
I called on Friday morning and the phone was answered immediately. Within two hours, the vehicle was collected from the dealership and delivered over 800 miles away within 24 hours without incident. The carrier communicated their ETA three times. I am great full for professional, honest, & efficient service. Carrier even pointed out a feature that was not working suggesting we reach out to the dealer.
I would use Q Auto Transport again for sure!
Bait and switch. They sent me a written quote for $700 to ship my car from Boston to North Carolina. Two weeks out they called back and said that it would now cost $850. I asked how they could quote something and then not honor it and he said that things change. I ended up using another service that did everything for $650.
Do not use this company! We arranged to pick up my car one month in advance. They didn't show up and didn't call. Nobody picks up the phone in their offices. They called me that evening and told me that they "may" be able to find somebody to help me if I pay more money than the initial quote. Then they said they would find somebody for the next day, which also didn't happen. They totally screwed me over and I had to cancel a flight.
The worse service ever. Amber there is a complete liar. They have me a price to ship my car. Then they called and said they had a "driver nearby" on the line. Could I hold to arrange pickup. I said sure. I was put on hold while they made "the arrangements". She came back on and said we were good for the next day AM pickup. All I had to do was fill out the paperwork and we'd be good to go.
If that was true I wouldn't be writing a review. No one showed up. I reached out to Amber and she did not answer the phone. She then emailed me the attached email.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
Moving can be a stressful time, specially when leaving your car in another persons hands. I decided to go with QAuto Transport, due to a friend referring your company, even though the price quote was $300 more then competitors I called. I only had one condition, my car arrive by August 1st. We were moving across the country, to a new home, and I knew that we would not have access to necessities like blankets, pillows, food. I said it over and over to the agent, I do not care when our car is picked up, we just need it to be delivered by August 1st. He promised that it would be there on time.
Pick-up day arrives. I am excited and nervous about leaving my car for the first time. The driver arrives and I notice on the paperwork it says a date of August 2nd. I mention to him that I need the car by August 1st, he tells me at that date its not possible and it will have to be the 2nd at that point. I was slightly annoyed, as I was so clear with the agent.
August 2nd. I eagerly await a call from either the driver or dispatch. I realize it's starting to get late and I still have not heard anything from anyone. I call QAuto and reach Gabi. He tells me, "Whoops, the car will not be there today, there was a problem with the truck. It will be there no later then tomorrow morning." I am upset by this. I explain to him that its not very professional to say a date and then it not be there. Also that no one gave me a call explaining that the car would be later. I felt that I would like to work out some kind of small discount, being my car was not arriving until 2 days after quoted. He tells me that he will escalate it to his manager.
My car ends up arriving at 6:30 pm on August 3rd, not August 1st like promised.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. In fact, I will go out of my way to tell people to use any other company. Which there are many of and much cheaper.
I still have yet to hear from anyone its August 6th. Obviously this company does not value their customers.
We booked this company to ship FOUR cars from California to Florida. Originally the first shipment for the first two cars came 2 days earlier than planned and it was very difficult to reschedule. Once they were able to reschedule, the pick up of the first set of cars was THREE days late. I was told that the driver would call me once they'd get close to our home.
I waited and waited and waited for three days. McKayla at the dispatch center was very helpful and professional. She answered all of my calls and had great communication with me. She was having a difficult time finding drivers traveling to Florida but she was able to do it, unfortunately the drivers were not as pleasant, she even connected me with one of the owners of the shipping company. I must say, they did deliver my first set of cars safely and within the first estimated time of arrival. My second set of two cars was definitely a better experience.Right on point. Would I ever ship with them again? Hard to tell, based on my second shipment I probably would.
They gave a quote $200 lower than what the competition was offering. I was skeptical as to whether they would get a driver to accept a bid that low, but they found a driver. I was charged $100 on pickup (I wasn't even there, they picked it up from a friend), then paid the rest in cash on delivery. They never added any fees or changed the price. I signed the contract with them on a Wednesday, they told me to give them 3 business days to find a driver, then another 3-5 to deliver the car. They had a driver Thursday evening, he picked it up Friday, and delivered it Tuesday. Less than a week to get my car over 1000 miles.
Con: Somehow they screwed up the deposit with my credit card. They said the card was declined but there is no reason that should have happened. I payed with a different card and it all worked out, but still, it was a bit annoying, and i had to re-sign the contract (electronically) with the new card number on file.
I've never had a car shipped before. Therefore, this was a learning experience for us. Q Auto Transport is a broker and not the transport company that will move your car. They put out a bid for other carriers to move your car. Once the bid has been accepted, you now have a contract with the carrier itself.
We initially got a quote from Q-Auto Transport to move my mother's car from Orlando, FL to the Tacoma area. Their quote was the lowest we received which can be a red flag. After researching reviews from several transport companies, I found that Q Auto Transport had the least number of bad reviews. That sounds bad but you have to realize that most people are eager to post complaints on social media and hardly post compliments.
My experience with Q Auto Transport was very good. They were very professional and were very upfront on what to expect. Eventually, West Coast Auto Transport Service was assigned to move our car.
Our experience with West Coast Auto Transport was very good. They did show up two days earlier than our earliest date on our window of pickup. I can see how this could be a problem for others but it was not an issue for us. The car was picked on July 14th and was delivered on on the 22nd. The only issue with the early pickup and subsequent early drop off was that we weren't scheduled to fly back until the 22nd. This was not a problem as West Coast Auto dropped off the car at a secured yard on the 22nd. I appreciated being able to communicate directly with the driver while the car was in transit.
On the 25th, we went to the yard and picked up our car. It was dirty (to be expected after a 3000 mile trip on the back of an open car carrier) but in the same condition as it left.
All in all, it was a good experience.
My advice to others: Do your research to understand the process. There are plenty of websites out there. The broker (Q Auto Transport in this case) will put out bids and once a carrier is found they will collect their part of the transport fee. You are now dealing with the carrier. They will inspect the car with you before departure and collect no money then. On delivery, they will want their cut of the transport fee in cash or money order.
I would definitely use both companies in the future.
